A bar located in between dimensions, accessable ONLY by magic users, and those touched specially by magic (because they're the only ones who know of its existence, and the magic users aren't telling anyone but other magic users) is now accessable from the pocket universe.
Note: It's from the DC Universe, so even the Marvel magic users don't know about it, unless told by a DC magic user.
Note: 'Touched by magic' does NOT mean hit with a magical attack. It means someone who was given, was born/created with, or has been cursed with, magic powers.
Note: while the Oblivion Bar enjoys all the amenities of modern life (Ex. showers, toilets, dishwashers, microwaves, etc.), it also follows its own set of rules apart from the rest of the dimensions (Ex. when making a phone call, you have to know the proper code for the Universe the person you're calling is in, along with the rest of the number )

[enter Jim Rook, Blue Devil, and Detective Chimp from DC Universe]
Jim Rook, known in Myrra as the Nightmaster, was performing is usual duties as bartender of the Oblivion Bar, mainly making sure all the glasses were ready for customers. The alcohol usually took care of itself. Thank goodness for magic. The Blue Devil stood by the door. After all, he was the bouncer. Their most faithful customer, the alcoholic detective Bobo T. Chimpanzee was already inside, drinking some whiskey while smoking a cigarette. He was already in due to the fact that he lived there. He hadn't left since ownership turned over to Jim, except for the occasional Shadowpact meeting, which didn't happen anymore, because the Shadowpact didn't exist anymore. Truth be told, he hadn't left the entire time the previous two owners had owned the place, at all. A computer sat near Detective Chimp, purchased at his request by Jim, so that he could communicate with Batman; the Caped Crusader sometimes contacted him via chat rooms to ask for assistance. Sometimes the Riddler appeared, too, but he didn't seem aware of either of their real identities. For now, all three of them waited for others to arrive.

[enter the Phantom Stranger from the DC Universe]
The door opened, and a man dressed in a blue suit and cape, wearing a medallion, walked in. Blue Devil knew who he was, and let him in; there wasn't a member of the magic community that DIDN'T know who he was. He was one of the single most powerful people in existence, one of the few people who can say that they've put up a fight single-handedly against the Spectre. The guiding wanderer. A stranger, yet known well by the three people present in the Oblivion Bar. The Phantom Stranger. "Hello, Blue Devil, Nightmaster, Detective," the Stranger said to each of them in their turn. "Are you all aware of the crisis at hand?"
"That we are," Rook said. "We were waiting to see if anybody else from our Universe made it here. The Bar's been used as a rallying point before."
"It IS good to see that you weren't turned into a mouse again, though," Bobo said. "It means that there's some real hope of fixing this."
"The situation is dire," the Stranger replied. "There are several crises on Earth at this moment, but none that require the Sentinels of Magic, or the Shadowpact. None, save one. A demon has emerged, from the other Universe. I shall go to Earth, and I shall recruit as many magic users from this new Universe as possible."
"'Bout time someone got to work on this," Blue Devil said. "If you want help, you know where to find me." He'd have said 'If you need help', but this was the Phantom Stranger. He didn't need help, not unless he's facing the Spectre, and even then, only when the Spectre's without a host for too long.
The Phantom Stranger nodded. "I thank you. I shall leave now." Walking behind the counter, Jim opened the back room door. The Stranger walked into the back room, and Jim closed the door behind him. The 'back room' was actually the Oblivion Inc. bookstore, also run by Jim Rook when he wasn't bartending in the Bar. The Phantom Stranger walked out of the store, and began his journey.

The clocks on the walls slowly turned, telling the time of the primary time zone of all the various dimensions the people frequented from. Nightmaster was cleaning the glasses and serving drinks, Bobo was drinking whiskey like it was water again, and Blue Devil was busy keeping the order in the bar. He'd had to throw out a couple people already, but most of the patrons were still sensible enough to not cause too much of a negative stir. All in all, a normal day in the life of the Oblivion Bar.

[enter the Spectre from DC Universe]
Closing time had arrived, and the last of the patrons were leaving. Nightmaster was finishing clean-up, Bobo was draining the last of his third bottle of whiskey, deciding in his mind that tomorrow he'd switch up to maybe vodka, and Blue Devil was seeing off the last customer. All in all a good day for all involved.
Suddenly, a green-hooded man appeared in the middle of the room, his pale skin shining in the light. He stood taller than anyone else in the room, but the three knew that this was because he chose to.
"Oh, crap..." Blue Devil said, backing up a step. Bobo shied back against the wall his booth was next to. Even Nightmaster, armed with the Sword of Night, appeared to be afraid of the newcomer.
"What brings you here, Spectre?" Nightmaster asked.
"It is my Lord's will," the Spectre replied. "I have come, because my Lord knows that my coming has been heralded. I come to deliver vengeance. Soon, a child shall be run over by a speeding car driven by a drunk driver. A man shall be beaten to death over another's jealousy. Soon enough, even one as powerful as I shall face the vengeance of the Spectre."
"Fair enough," Blue Devil said, worry obviously etched on his face, "But why are you HERE? In the Oblivion Bar?"
"Because it is also my Lord's will that you know," replied the Spectre.
"Oh. Okay."
"Do not question me again, Blue Devil. I am not your Trident." With that, the Spectre began to fade away. "Go forth, and herald my arrival." With that, the Spectre disappeared.
"He's in a bad mood," Bobo said, still in awe.
"Is he ever in a GOOD mood?" Nightmaster replied, also still in shock.
"Um, who's going to do as he asked?" Blue Devil asked.
"I guess I will," Bobo said, "But maybe I should have another drink first..."

A message appeared on the computer screen. It said, simply, "B: Do you have a minute?"

Bobo's definition of another drink turned out to be another bottle of whiskey, which turned out to be for the best, as otherwise he'd have missed this message. As he read it, he smiled. Batman. Of course. He typed in his reply, and pressed enter.
Magnificent F.T.G.: Of course I have time, B. What do you need?

B: Can you think of any reason why Lex Luthor would put up with having a partner? Either he's in charge, or he's completely subordinated and plotting to be in charge; I've never seen him share power for any length of time.

Magnificent F.T.G.: That depends. Is it a strict partnership, per se, or a team?

B: They are partners in joint control of a team, according to the information I have.

Magnificent F.T.G: I learned long ago to trust your information, B. It's very rarely wrong, and even then, not by very much. So technically, both. Well, that IS unusual for Luthor. Obvious answer is that he's planning something big. Any more information before I continue to speculate?

B: Well, the team currently includes the Joker, Deathstroke, and a magic user who goes by Gossamer, but I don't think that's relevant to what we're discussing. I believe he'll be having his partner pose as Mockingbird, who's been set up to be the real boss as far as the rest of the team is concerned. Lex is pretending to be just another underling.

Magnificent F.T.G.: Ah, now THAT sounds more Luthor's speed. And it seems to me that the people you name might very well be concerned. Luthor certainly had the option to choose people from our Universe, people he could trust, but he didn't just do that. He has someone from another Universe, and this tells me that he might recruit more of the same. And the Mockingbird moniker... If that means what it did the last time someone used that nom de guerre, we're going to be dealing with an elite strike team. This troubles me.

Magnificent F.T.G.: I'm a charter member, B. Anyways, this troubles me so much because the last time a strike force controlled by someone under the name of Mockingbird surfaced, it defeated an entire Society led by Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, the Calculator, Talia al Ghul, Black Adam, and Doctor Psycho. A Society that included in its number Professor Zoom, Bizarro, Doctor Polaris, Queen Zazala and her H.I.V.E., Fatality, Killer Frost, and almost every other major villain you can think of. This Society managed to even get Solomon Grundy to join. And he did it with four out of his SIX members being virtually no-name villains. SIX members total. The JLA can barely boast such a thing, no offense. Need to know names of the previous members?
