I am very curious if you beleive you can heal people, there are many spiritual teachers and gurus that have been able to heal others and was wondering if you can heal people or if really dedicated to healing or sources of healing through recitation of mantras and could heal people.

I don't believe I can personally heal people. In my belief system and my church we believe we have the authority and rights of the priesthood and can offerring blessings to those who are sick and wish to be healed. It only works if the person wishing to be healed has faith enough that God can and will heal them and the priesthood bearer has the proper authority. I can however testify that I've seen a healing take place in my own life though. My daughter was once sick and I called in some of the priesthood bearers to say a prayer over her and the very next day her illness was gone. It was amazing. I don't deny, though that there are those out there who can heal others.

Yes. I believe you can. But not by miracles...a smile, laugh, kindness, can make a person feel better or help someone overcome a problem. " laughter is the best medicine " Bringing positive energy to a person, gives that person positive energy, and vice versa. A person surrounded by negative energy will also be filled negatively.

It's true. The mind is connected to the body, and, consequently, the body's health.

Personally I do beleive we can heal people. Again with my Hindu perspective, it is taught that we as Hindus are in this world as our last birth in the reincarnation where when we pass we are one with the Supreme Being therefore we have gained spiritual knowledge and ability to heal people. My spiritual teacher says that we must continue to try to heal people one person at a time during our human exisitence. I guess its really much more complicated to explain as Hinduism itself is a completed religion to understand, but thanks so much for those that posted it really helps to see different perspectives.
