The Angel’s Dance
The rain comes again,
This time bringing joy.
As it falls, my heart is up lifted.
You spin through puddles,
Sending droplets flying.
I watch you smiling softly,
One, two, three turns.
A grin breaks out.
And I laugh with joy,
As your angelic smile appears.
You grow wings, white as snow,
And fly across the wet ground.
I watch as my angel dances,
He spreads his wings and flies.
He dance is pure and from his heart.
His face peaceful as he spins and leaps,
The smile that graces his face is heavenly.
I watch as he puts joy in other’s hearts,
And am jealous that I must share him.
He should be only mine to watch.
But I know his desire,
To bless others through his dancing.
So I will stand by and watch him,
Wishing I could dance with my angle.
The rain slows to a gentle shower,
And the dance comes to an end.
Yes, the rain had come again,
Now I wait wishing for it to return.
