The Champion of Cyrodiil has disappered, to where? It is rumored he/she was last sighted entering the Shivering Isles but has not returned. Sadly this leaves almost every major guild in Cyrodiil leaderless

What will become of these events? Will the power void acheive what Mahrunes Dagon could not? Or will each guild choose its new leader peacefully? Only time will tell...

Charry Skeleton is free form.

Grandon snoozed indoors this day. Even though it was a wonderful day outside and every other mage in the Arcane University was outside, either looking over notes, or listening to a guild journeyman give a speech on the Rune Stones Grandon was snoozing indoors.

Everyone in the University knew why, Grandon was a vampire, and a very unpredictable and deadly one at that. So no one bothered to even try to wake the powerful wizard from his slumber, preferring not to chance being turned into a pile of ash or frozen in place for doing so.

The young Khajiit yawned, laying a furred hand over her mouth and stretching, switching at a fly with her tail. The black hood that adorned her head was pushed back, letting her ears cool off and her face uncovered.

Lounging in the cool black of the Sanctuary, J'Kara snatched a wooden splinter from the tabletop and picked at her long teeth, her chest vibrating in contentment. After the bit of meat had been pried away from her incisors, J'Kara stood up, tightening the buckles on the standard Dark Brotherhood outfit that morphed tightly to her body. She could feel the enchantments washing over her and she grinned. Khajiit usually liked to have free-moving clothes, but this outfit fit so snugly, she hardly knew it was there at times.

With a sudden burst of energy, J'Kara bounded out of the eating space, flinging out a Pack Mule spell that eased the weight of her armor and weapon. Falling to her front paws as well, J'Kara's nails screeched against the ancient stone floors as she ran pell-mell past the various other members of the killing society that were mostly vampires.

Though she didn't consider herself biased, J'Kara never did like the vampires. Though they made excellent hunters, they also could never mesh with the regular society up on the top soil, and they had the nasty disease to sunlight. This Khajiit didn't think she could give up noon naps on the warm rooves of the Waterfront.

Skidding past the last Red-Eyes, J'Kara slowed so she could push open the great stone door without smacking into it. Whispering a final farewell to her beloved dark home, J'Kara slipped into the delapidated house that was the entrance and cover for the Brotherhood.

Almost instantly the Khajiit's eyes narrowed into thin slits, almost disappearing in her dark eyes. The world exploded in a light blue color around her, and the darkness suddenly revealed all. Smirking, J'Kara lifted the lid of a wooden box that held her street clothes. Pulling on a tunic of red threads over her dark armor, J'Kara hesitated between the skirt and trousers, but finally decided on a pair of patched pants that wouldn't make her look too suspicious.

Finally looking like a normal citizen of Cyrodiil, J'Kara exited the house, a yawn escaping her maw.

Grandon yawned and stretched, almost half-awake he looked over at his hourglass, turned it and fell back to sleep. The wizard had no idea how long ago the glass had run out of sand, nor did he care. He just knew that every day he slept for two turns of the glass, however long that may be.

However something kept the mage from completing his second turn. A ruckus upstairs was getting louder and it was preventing the mage from going back into deep sleep. For a while he ignored it, but then it just became too annoying and loud to do so. Thus when the vampire finally did get out of bed he was not in the best of moods.

Blasting open the door with a simple telekinesis spell, and breaking the lock in doing so, Grandon came out of the basement and turned down the hallway to face the source, two guild apprentices that were arguing over the aspects of a very minor discovery about Illusion magic or something. What was not an Illusion however was Grandon’s furry, using a variant on the spell he had used on the door Grandon threw them both to the ceiling. The Apprentices were to shocked by the display to even try and mount a resistance or to try and dispel it.

“You have disturbed my sleep, “ Grandon said with an eerie calm tone to his voice, “Now the Guild rules prevent me from killing you, they do not prevent me from exacting punishment and payment for what you have made me lose. A pint should do from each of you to compensate and I expect them in my trunk by the end of the day,” Then he cast a Minor Absorb Fatigue/Magica spell on them both and released them from his hold.

One managed to mumble, “Yes Master-Wizard,” before scrabbling away.

The vampire then moved back downstairs towards his trunk, grabbed a vial full of red liquid, shook it and drank till it was empty. After a moment his face and body filled back out and he looked like any other Dunmer. With that he headed outside and to begin a day of peaceful study.

((Yes I know Grandon is a bit up there in the ranks, as well as a bit OP but come on, he casting spells on level 3 equivalents))

Elaviel walked out of the Shivering Isles into the bright sun. She squinted her eyes. "God dammit!" She exclaimed, pulling her hood up further. The guard at the door jumped and cursed, drawing his sword. "Hey! You!" He said. "Stop there." Elaviel stopped moving and looked up at him. "Hm." She said with a smirk. Then she exploded into action going low and spinning her foot around, easily slipping through his guard and kicking him the chest. He flew back then, jumping up she slid a dagger from her boot. Without a second longer she was on him, slipping her dagger into his neck and closing his eyes. He thrashed for just a moment and then went still. She wiped her blade on his tunic and slipped it back into her boot, picking up as run as she made her way to the imperial city.
Elaviel walked through the streets, not caring weather she drew stares or not. Sure, she didn't look like a normal civilian, but, she wasn't. As she walked past an ally she froze and turned her hooded head towards the darkness. Her normally lavender eyes flared red for a moment. Then she continued on her way, ignoring the guards as she made her way up and into the Arcane university's door. Just as she was almost out of the main chamber a mage in a blue robe grabbed her wrist. She stopped and looked back at him. "You don't look like a mage." He said. He was a Brenton, with short brown hair and brown eyes. Her black lips, the only thing visible from under her white hood, twisted into a smirk. "Because I'm not." She said. The Brenton swallowed and looked around, just in case this turned bad. "Well, uhm, I can't let you in." He said. She laughed at him, making him jump. "Oh, dear Brenton. You'll let me in because I'm an associate of Grandons. And I have an appointment with him." She said. The Brenton looked her over, noting her sword, bow, and quiver. "You're not an...assassin are you. You're not going to kill him..." He said, stuttering. She laughed again. "Oh deary no. I'd kil you before I even though of killing him. I have reason to keep him alive, I don't have reason for you." She said, then pulled away from him and walked out ito the university and into Grandon's room. She slipped in while he was pouring over a large book and lounged on his bed. "Boo." She said, knowing that she most likely snuck in without him knowing.

Grandon lounged on the stone railing that surrounded the central tower of the University. One day, he thought, I will be the one to live at the top of this tower. Then he saw the young Dunmer woman in the white armor and cloak and thought with a smirk, One day very soon..

“Greetings my Sister,” Grandon said smoothly once she was within conversational distance, “How was the trip?”

Elaviea looked up at him, a smirk twisting her features. "Oh, it was just wonderful. Lots of new creatures and people. There was this thing called a gate keeper. He was fun. There were so many people but no one knew about any of our factions." she, made her way up to him, ignoring the glances she drew and smiled at him. She traced her finger down his cheek, unafraid of him. "And trust me, your big bad master wont be coming back." The wind picked up and shifted her hood, revealing her lavender eyes. She pulled away quickly and fixed it.

Grandon's eyebrow raised at the news, "Really? So one obstacle is out of our way..," Grandon seemed to pause in thought, he smiling face going blank. Then almost without warning the smile returned, "Good, then what we must do is clear, we make this news public so that we may move into phase two," then Grandon changed the subject drastically, "So what were you thinking of this time?"

The woman tugged lightly at the reins of the White Horse, slowing down as the main gate and bridge of the Imperial City came into view. The horse snorted and shook its head, but slowed to a trot, its hooves clopping against the cobblestone bridge loudly.

Though merchants and travelers were always using the bridge to fish, barter, or simply walk on, J'Kara recieved no awkward looks, though a young Redguard boy eyed her ebony dagger with thieving eyes. The Khajiit woman simply hissed at him, baring her fangs darkly. The boy scampered away.

Apparently the Thieves Guild was big in the Imperial City, but J'Kara held no love for it. They were petty cowards and only need a cheap Chameleon spell to get their prize if people were around. The woman flicked her tail as she dismounted and flung her mount's reins at a waiting Dunmer. She would not be needing the horse for now. Giving a simple fake name and a once over was all that J'Kara needed to get into the city.

Immediately the Khajiit's thoughts went back to the thief boy that had eyed her weapon on the bridge. J'Kara was like him, in a way. She was a thief as well, but not of materialistic things. She was a stealer of lives. Snickering lightly at this, the cat pulled her civilian clothes tighter around her Dark Brotherhood armor and ran her tongue against her maw. Time to find what she had come for in the first place.

Family had never been big for J'Kara, but she owed it to her parents to visit them in their elderly stages at the University. She had been raised their after all. Heading up the steep stairs that led to the tower's lobby, the Khajiit woman steered right and instantly applied her "normal" manners. Coyly flicking her dark eyes to one of the guards, J'Kara noticed he looked very flustered.

"Is...something wrong?" she asked quietly, her voice almost purring with concern. The guard simply stared at the young cat before him and shook his head.

"Nothing you need concern yourself about, citizen," he replied gruffly, though J'Kara could see he was shaken about something. "Do you have a form of identification?"

As if the magical aura pulsing off of her did not do the trick already. Sighing ever-so-slightly, J'Kara forced a smile and nodded.

"My parents are mages here. R'skar and Baavani? I've come to visit them. And I'm also noted here for my skill in Illusion." To prove her point, J'Kara layered a very subtle Charm on the guard. He nodded and motioned for the gate to be opened.

With a grateful smile, J'Kara slipped through the gates to the Arcane University and started to head for the practice rooms.

Elaviel smirked again. "I was thinking that you could put a magic detection enchantment on this ring, so I can tell if someone is casting a spell anywhere around me. It would prove well if my target is a mage." She said, slipping a silver banded ring out of her bag and handing it over. Her head moved towards the University grounds as she saw a new figure enter them. She has the walk of a murderer, Elaviel thought, turning back to Grandon.

Grandon took the ring with a puzzled, but also giddy, look on his face, he seemed intranced by the concept of what Elaviel had suggested, though he still noted the passing Khajiiti. A good assassian was always away of his/her surroundings, and it also didnt take much for him to discern that she was indeed a killer, she just had the confident gaunt only murderers had.

"Hmmm this would require me to come up with an entirely new spell.... Perhaps a varriation on Life Detect..." he went on to mummble about spells and how he would go about making the enchantment but it was incomprehensible to anyone but those that studied the magical arts.
