As most of you know I've mentioned I'm questing for an elite tank. I currently have 4/17 fish towards this goal. Once I get the fish in the tank I also plan on making a fairly nice tank for them to live in. My question is, should I put it on a mule so I can keep track of the gold and dedicate certain portions of that gold to purchasing new fish and any extra income I trade back to this account, or should I keep the tank on this account? http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/920476/ This is the account I am considering putting the tank on. I kind of like the idea of having a fresh slate. Thoughts? Suggestions? Pros and cons?

Personally I'd put it in whatever account you plan on advertising! I don't normally put high triggers in my mules mainly because I don't advertise them very much (one not at all). The only reason you'll get the extra income is if you advertise, advertise, advertise! Otherwise you'll have a high trigger tank that no one's gonna see.... So... use the account that you plan on using more... then work your way up (you mules) from there...
I've had this tank for a while and had many invites that I really don't have to focus on this tank anymore (at least until one of my fish die, but I still do, since I like the gold flow)... So now I can work on my alter ego's tank...

^ I agree with Rain.
There's no point in giving your mule a schnazzy tank if you're going to cruise the forums on your main account instead. If you want the budget aspect you can always buy the fish/etc. on your mule and transfer them over when you want to put them in your tank.

I was planning to advertise but since I do post primarily on this account your reasoning makes more sense. Thanks guys.

I agree with the first two posts. ^^; No point in having a mule with a dead tank just sitting there doing nothing, while on your main you post around and show off you tank. =P

I hear what you're saying Second Horseman, but I think the others are right. You're going to want your first great booty grab tank on your main account.
But since you can see a total of what the tank's earned, you can move the gold in easy round quantities to your mule periodically to keep track of it. Say, each time you earn 10,000 (or whatever's a convenient amount for you) move it to your mule. Basicaly, you can use a mule as a bank to keep yourself from spending gold that's earmarked for other things, like new fish or a quest or whatever.

I think you should use whichever tank you advertise the most.
