These mountains act as the barrier between the Obscurité Lands and Hiver sans Fin. The climates of these two places are the exact opposite of each other. The Obscurité Lands are mild with, of course, changing seasons. Where as Hiver sans Fin has a cold, winter like climate for years on end.
The Yukiyama is located right in between both Congelé Valley and Espérer Valley. There is a few pathways that connects the two valleys but with great distances between each one.

Stella was sitting high up in the mountains with her scarf over her nose and mouth, and holding her coat as closed as possible to shield herself from the cold. She was facing towards the Obscurité Lands, even though the snow was blocking most of her view. Snowflakes dusted her hair and clothes as she sighed and smiled at the wonderful view. She closed her eyes and kept warm thoughts in her head in an attempt to ignore the cold weather.

Luna reached the peak of the mountain from the Hiver sans Fin. She squinted as she tried to make out the figure down the slope just ahead of her. She gasped and slid down towards the person, stopping right before hitting the other person. Luna wrapped her arms around the girl's neck happily. "Sis, it's good to see you again."

Stella jumped slightly as Luna had scared her. "Same old you, Luna." she said standing up and smiling at the girl who looked exactly like Stella. "We should probably get out of this cold. Race ya to the Espérer Valley!" she said getting a running start to 'ski' down to where the snow ends and run from there to the stream, with Luna following close behind.
