Erdre flopped down under a tree with a book, ready to waste the entire day reading. After many attempts, she had finally found one that peaked her interest. She pulled some snacks towards her and opened the book to the last page she read.

The purple male was glad to get out of the house. Chaely had hidden herself in the couch, again, and Rina and Rena were argueing on the best ways to get her out of there. The argument turned into a b***h fight, and soon all the twins were doing was scratching each other up, and not helping Chaely.

Finally, he just couldn't take the screaming and left the house. He made his way to the park with a book and made to read. He saw a very familiar blue fox sitting under a tree with a book and grinned. His day just got that much better. He wouldn't exactly admit it to himself, but he had a crush on her, and centered most of his flirting on her. Only because she was just so cute, of course.

Azare sat down under her tree and opened his book, without speaking to her. Yet.

Erdre was so absorbed in her book, she thought the footsteps she heard were the footsteps of Kerowyn along the forest trail, fleeing from the battle behind her. She could just imagine being Kerowyn, holding the sword up to her foe. That thought brought back the memory of Cair trying to teach her to handle a blade and all the blood pouring out of her paw. She could feel the blood and jolted out of her little day dream, feeling her paw, panicked, to make sure it was in tact. Once she had satisfied herself that she was ok, she realized she had company. She looked up realizing it was Azare, she was happy it was him and not someone else, she really enjoyed his company. It was nice not to have someone make fun of her about her books and her fantasies. She really enjoyed his compliments even though she didn't always know how to respond to them. "Hello Azare, I didn't notice you come up" she smiled at him, marking the page in her book.

He looked up from the page he'd read for the forth time. Odd... he never had his much problem reading around people before. Huh... He smiled softly at Erdre. "Hello Erdre. I didn't want to disturb you. You seemed to be quite enjoying your book. So, how is my bookworm friend today?" asked Azare.

Erdre studied him unconsiously, he seemed a little distracted. "I'm good, just getting a little too wrapped up in my book" she marks her page and closes her book, grabbing some nuts out of her bowl, offering the bowl to Azare "Nuts?"

He smiled. "Good to hear. No, thanks. I don't really like nuts," said Azare, shying away from the nuts slightly. He looked down to see if he could mark his page, and reread the same page three times trying to find the last sentence. He kept unconsciously looking up at Erdre, as if to make sure she was still there, or something. Odd...

Erdre watched him curiously while munching on the nuts. He was acting a little weird, but she couldn't stop staring at him. She picked up her book in an effort to stop, but she couldn't focus on the words on the page.

Azare looked up at her, and caught one of her stares. He smiled softly and said, "It something wrong, Erdre?" He scratched his nose with a paw, thinking that there was something on his face. There wasn't, and he turned back to his book, as she had. Now where was he again...?

Erdre smiled at him "Nope" she turned back to her book, following the lines with her paw in an effort to keep her place. She reached out for the bowl for nuts but accidentally brushed Azare "Oops, sorry" she blushed and tried to hide behind her book again.

"Alright then," he said with a smile before turning back to his book again. Her paw brushed against him, leaving almost a warm path where it went. He jumped a little, startled, but brushed it off.

"No, no, it's alright." Here he'd usually fit in some random flirty comment that would make her blush redder, but for the life of him, he couldn't do it. He couldn't find that comment. Weird.

Erdre closed her book, a little frustrated with it, she rolled over onto her back with a small sigh, looking up at the sun coming through the branches of the tree

Azare frowned, perplexed at Erdre's behavior. There had to be something wrong, hadn't there? She didn't seem this... whatever she was when he first arrived. He closed his book, not caring whether he marked the page or not, and scooted over to her.

"Erdre... are you alright? You seem... off, as though something's wrong," he asked, looking at her.

Erdre smiled at him, "I'm fine, just a little distracted today"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:55 pm

His head tilted to one side. "Why are you distracted?"

Erdre smiled up at him, blushing a little "Just a lot of things going through my mind, good books, my housemates, new friends" she blushed even brighter as that slipped out, "um...I mean" she quickly picks up her book and buries her nose in it, trying to hide her constant blushing
