My favorite gaming systems are deffinetly the N64 and the SNES
Those systems have never ending gaming glory to them. I did grow up on the SNES, but out of the two, N64 does it for me.

I like it better than nowadays gaming actually. Since I find it more enjoyable and fun, the games were a lot more original than todays games. I have been playing Mario Party 2 and 3 lately, just for the fun of it.

Have you look into the PS3? The game play is pretty much the same, but the graphics are MUCH more realistic, and in turn better game franchises.
The online gameplay is smooth and easily tampered with, depending on the owners personal perrogative. Plus, the online play is free, unlike it's counterpart, the xbox 360 (though I cant say the game play or graphics are better, for I havn't played it much).
Over-all, though the PS3 is over-priced, it's money well spent.

From looking at the pro's and cons of gaming platforms I'm convinced that the PC is the best. A good solid PC can handle any thing you throw at it, and with a lot of older stuff you can emu it. Looking at the line up for PC games, they get a good selection of every thing that comes out too.

The PC is the overall greatest consoles for games, but at the same time is the most expensive, unless you torrent/download all your games and what not. But even then, they cost a lot to upgrade every 5 years or so. Emulated games actually for the most part, suck on PC, the actual game itself is soo much better.

Only PS and up games can be really bothersom/not worth emulating on PC.

SNES, NES, GBA and such all run fine.

Yea, never download games that require an analog stick to play, it never works. The rest don't feel right when I play them, not to mention controling them with my keyboard and such, it's just a hassel for me to do.

Honestly I find it a much more worth while investment in a good PC, because you can do a lot more then just game with it too you know?
Besides being a hobbiest with them, I usually have just as much fun building them as playing on them.
I've usually seen that PC games cost about the same if not less then games for consoles. Especially the 360, who pays 70 bucks for a video game?
I've never had problems with Emulation before, granted I've yet to go for a PS2 Emu, but with older stuff it works fine. I think the main reason people have problems is that they don't realize that their processor can't handle the load.
I like the Key Board better then a game pad as well honestly. And you can all ways mod a controller to work with USB.

Yea, you can do everything on it, the better the PC, the more enjoyment you get out of ding tings on it.
PC games usually cost $10 less than console games, I never read up why though :S
Well also using keys as analog is a pain in the a**, you myswell get a PC controller.
I like the keyboard better for FPS games, I find it a lot more easier to use, cause you only use a few keys and the mouse to play, unlike 2 analog sticks and 8 buttons on a 360/PS3 controller.

The PS3 controller was created to excell to compensate for what it lacks. A good example being six-axis function.

I'm gona need to get a new system in the next few years, mine's pretty much maxed out right now. I think for the next one I get I'm gona just blow like 3000 bucks on the best possible stuff (unless I decide to get the civi model 4-16 instead). Get a Blu-ray burner, and SLI to 9800s or some thing. And Liquid cooling. And two Terabites.
For the most part I can get good control out of just WASD or arrow keys, some times just as good as I can from an analog stick. I grew up playing that kinda stuff though. I was on the computer when I was like 5.
