The basketball court also serves as the exit and entrance for the X jet in and out of the Hangar. Here, many students and mutants enjoy playing an old fashioned game of Basketball.

Pyra found her way outside which was exactly where she wanted to be. Away from anything that could burn which was virtually impossible but at least outside, she wasn't afraid to let her frustrations out. So far, she had made a very bad impression on a heck of a lot of people. They didn't know her past, at least she thought they didn't. With Xavier, she didn't know, but if he did know, she wasn't sure that he wouldn't tell anyone.

"Gah," she yelled at the sky and saw clouds begin to take their form. She made her way to the empty basketball court. She wanted to use her power, there was just so much anger built up inside, mainly at herself. But she was afraid of using her power. Every time she used it, something bad always happened. Then again, with her, bad things happened no matter what.

She took a seat on the far edge of the courts and crossed her legs. A flame formed in her hand and it formed a ball, it grew bigger until it was the size of a softball. She began to make forms with it. It was something new that she had started doing. The forms weren't very good, not that she was trying.

"Great job, flamer," she growled at herself as the ball rose in the air to the level of her face but it was a good foot away. "You just let them know one thing. Which means you tell them all the other things and then....then they will be just like everyone else. Because for some reason, they find something good in humans...maybe it is because they have all been human before." She touched her locket that hung around her neck and remembered the night that she lost her temper when she was really young, and watched her father burn inside the house. She shut her eyes with much anger at herself. "How could I have done such a thing," she whispered to herself as the ball of fire began to droop in the air..

The flame in front of the red head took the form of a house and the top of a three year old girl's head could be seen through the window. Pyra held her head and tried to push the memories away. "No, no, no, no," she muttered. She squeezed her eyes shut even tighter as she tried to think of something else. Images flashed through her mind until suddenly they stopped. She heard footsteps, someone was coming. The thoughts never seemed to linger when someone else was around. But they were unwanted company in her lonliness. She quickly cut the flame away with her left arm and it disappeared. She wasn't sure if she should be using her powers and she had caused enough trouble as it was already.

The voice of an older boy chuckled as Pyra turned around. Flames were in her eyes, flames of fear of being found.

"It's alright," he said holding his hands up in surrender. "I was just making sure you were alright, it's getting late, you might want to head inside." He offered her a hand to help her up, she looked at it with confusion, not knowing what he wanted. "It's just a hand," he said not understanding why the girl didn't take it.

"I know what it is," the red head muttered as she stood to her feet without the help of the blond headed boy. "I don't see why you show it to me like I've never seen one before..."

They boy nodded with understanding. "It was on offer to help you up," he explained.

Pyra tilted her head slightly but said nothing as she made her way past him. She had made a fool of herself. She didn't know how to act around anyone, or when she was alone. She was lost and lonely, even in a crowd of people, even though she knew exactly where she was.

The boy just watched Pyra go, then he decided to catch up to her. "So, where are you from? You don't really have an accent."

Pyra turned on her heels to face the older mutant, fire in her eyes. "Hell," she seethed and then turned around and ran inside in attempt to hide from the questions that everyone would ask her.
