No, this isnt another "Tap me pls" thread.
I'm doing this because. I seriously think that taps make your tank glow now. Maybe not right away, but to some point. This has happened to me about 3 times now. I just got on like 30 minutes ago, asking for morning taps and then 20 minutes later I'm already glowing. o.O; Now I cant be for sure if this is what it is, because I know some say the times are at random. Some of you may have had this happen to you too.
Also, does anyone know how long it takes before you start glowing again?
So yeah I had to make this thread to get other's options. =s

I'm still on the fence when it comes to taps........ When I logged on this morning I started to glow like 5 mins later... also, yesterday, there were times that I had to wait 3 1/2 hours between glows (yes... I actually waited in front of my computer crying ), then suddenly about an hour and 15mins (I almost missed this one since I practically neglected my dog waiting all those hours, so I had to my ownerly duties, and I was tired of waiting) it glowed again... So... when it comes to glowing, the wait time is between 1-4hours... atleast from my experience...
So if taps do help... it doesn't do all that much.......... *sigh...* emo

Most people who worked on aquariums agree to say that tapping doesn't help glowing... It's supposed to be pure luck, but no developer did confirm this fact. 3nodding

I agree. I noticed that while ago... because this is what I do.
I visit my subscribed booty grab threads that are my favorite. I go through the first couple of pages and give them all taps. I then revisit the pages I gave taps to (usually when I'm done giving one thread their taps I start over) and there's at least one aquarium that is now announcing it's ready to booty grab.
*I gave everyone taps on this page!*
EDIT: rain4ever is glowing and I grabbed for 600 something

To the best of my knowledge taps have no effect on your tanks glowing.

I've seen people say they glowed about every three hours. Never tried to time it for myself. I think it's pretty random. And I'm still undecided as to whether or not taps have ANY affect at all on your tank.

My guess is that taps have very little effect on anything. Aquariums & booty grab are already a rather large server load, and to add taps into glow frequencies for tanks would, I think, add substantially to that load. Much simpler to run a random routine with mods for tank health & fish, both of which appear to be updated only once per day.
The Gaian who created the Fish Lab thread did a lot of testing and came to the conclusion that taps had no effect on tank health or fish happiness. Ultimately, I think taps are nothing more than something fun for users to do. It's a way for us to interact with our aquarium fish.
