A Demon's Playground. -----------------
User Image

In the earth realm, many things are about to happen. What used to be a quiet life for four humans will soon become one big adventure as they are sucked into a world that was only said to exist in story books.

------

This is a literate to advanced literate role play. I'm seeking people who like to write medium to large sized posts (not massive ones every single post), and are online often. I would be even more happy if people that joined were online more during the morning and afternoon, let's say 10am-5pm EST, but honestly, I post at random hours of the day, so posting at night isn't really a huge issue at all. In fact, I welcome those that are on in the afternoon-nighttime hours. I just might not be able to respond as quickly as I could, or always have access to the computer.

If you think you have what it takes to jump in and join this story, by all means, continue reading through the thread.

[[ Please Note: Although this is located in the Action Subcategory, it involves much more than that. This is a fantasy with action, adventure, character growth, and some romance if it grows into such a thing. ]]

In the Fire Realm. -----------------

Recent attempts to find a missing Fire Lord had become rather drastic. One cruel demon, Takeo, finally deduced that the Tracker’s Lord Lukos was hiding among humans in the Earth Realm. With extreme distaste for the wolf-demon, Takeo intended to make the Earth Realm a chaotic environment, and decided that with the aid of an old Fire Realm artifact, he would seek out the most ruthless of humans and unleash the power of it onto them. Then he would use them as his own special army stationed as his eyes and ears on Earth Realm.

The artifact was an enhancer of sorts. Although humans were born with no sense of magic or inner abilities, with the help of the artifact, it would open their third eye to the world, and they would begin to develop in such a way that they could match demons in power.

However, the top female member of the Wolf Clan, Kae, was quite the observant one, and learned of Takeo’s plans for the Earth Realm. Wanting to not only protect her lord from Takeo‘s blade, but also ruin Takeo’s mission, she stole the artifact, taking it to Earth Realm herself to find her lord and turn the item over.

While traveling in Earth Realm, seeking out her Lord, Kae was spotted in the woods in her wolf form by some hikers. Not caring for the idea of being eaten by a rather large wolf, they pulled out a hand gun that was on their person and shot at her.

Kae ran away, finding the conditions unsuitable for finding her lord, but not before being shot in the side. Not wanting to stop for the scared humans to find her, she ran until her energy was spent, ending up in the backyard of a nice looking house just outside of the woods, a golden ball clamped in her mouth. She lay there wounded, waiting for her body to heal.

In the Earth Realm. -----------------

A group of four friends steadily pushed their way through college, sometimes not even wanting to do so, and other times perfectly content with the way things were. They were all just average people trying to find their place in the world.

These four were so close that they all decided to never be too far from one another. Friendships weren’t always easy to come by, and seeing as they had known each other since grade school, they just didn’t want to break those bonds.

They all finally agreed that they should rent a house together, about twenty minutes away from campus, and more in the country part of the town. The house was big, had three rooms; two stories and a basement. The backyard was large, and lead out into a thick wooded area. It was just beautiful.

Life was good, or as good as it could be, at least. But one day a strange colored wolf wandered into their backyard, injured and tired. The eldest of the friends decided to investigate, and learned that the wolf must have been more like a dog, because it was friendly and wasn‘t the typical gray that one might expect. Not only that, but it seemed rather attached to a ball that was securely held in its mouth.

As this story progresses, the artifact, or the golden ball, will be broken, and unleash its power in the presence of the four friends. They wouldn't see it as anything different than a puzzle ball, however, but soon will begin to struggle as they start to develop powers that they don't really understand, and have trouble controlling.

Oh The Places You Will Go, The Things You Will See... -----------------

Fire Realm

User ImageUser Image

Hot and Dry, this is the perfect place for demons that manipulate fire. The Realm is split into four kingdoms, each with four lords. The Nobles, The Trackers (Wolf Clan), The Assassins, and The Commoners.

°The Nobles: This Clan is made of completely pure-blood demons that do not shape-shift. They are the most respected out of the four.

°The Trackers (Wolf Clan): The Trackers are generally all pure-blooded, but are very different from the Nobles. Their bodies can take the form of wolves. Their senses are much more elevated than the other clans, and they are used for scenting out information.

°The Assassins:
Usually, The Assassins serve The Nobles directly. They take care of the dirty work, and report back when the job is completed.

°The Commoners: Most anyone can come to The Commoners because they offer all sorts of trades. They are the least pure-blood in the kingdom, and aren’t necessarily frowned upon, but most Nobles generally stick their noses up at them.

Ice Realm

User ImageUser Image

Wet and cold, this is not the best place to live unless one is suited for the most freezing conditions. There are few Ice Demons around, because generally, anything that manipulates it is angelic. But there are several creatures that make it their home.

°Queen of Ice Realm: December-- This woman isn’t native to the realm, but she’s not angelic either. Her powers surpass any of the other inhabitants that dwell there.

Earth Realm
User ImageUser Image
Almost any species comes to the Earth Realm, be it to live, to cause trouble, to visit, or to gather supplies. It’s like one giant traders market for demons, and home to humans. The perfect mixture of chaos.

Water Realm
User ImageUser Image

Any aquatic, magical creature resides here, be it demon or animal. Most demons from the Water Realm are very relaxed, and not so power hungry. They are more peaceful here.

Holy Realm
User ImageUser Image
Land of all that is good. Basically a boring little slab of paradise where anything angelic is said to live. Occasionaly even angels will travel away from here to explore the world, but at the end of the long day, it is still their home.

Cyber Realm (The Junkyard)
User ImageUser Image
This is a realm of technology, though with the masses of metal, cable wires and circuits everywhere, the place is a total mess. Most demons refer to it as a junkyard because of the lack of organization and what looks like scrap metal everywhere. Creatures from this realm often laugh at how far behind the Earth Realm is, however, and are quite respected when it comes to trading fine weapons, like Gundams, for example, amongst many other things.

Gray Realm (Purgatory)
User ImageUser Image
The Gray Realm is a very dreary, gloomy place. All souls of the dead travel to Purgatory.

Death Realm
User ImageUser Image
One giant orb that continuously consumes energy from soul wastes. Very dangerous to Realm Jump to, and rather pointless unless one feeds off of souls.

But How Will We Get There? -----------------

Realm Jumping
Almost any demon can jump realms. It’s a bit tricky when they are younger, because their skills are still developing, but it can be done. For any demon, no matter their magic skill level, there is a cool off period between jumping. One cannot go hopping around like a mad man. For the younger demons, the cool off period can vary from a few hours to a week, whereas the more experienced may only have to wait an hour or two.

Switching Realms by a Spell
This is different from Realm Jumping because when using a spell, different energies from the Realm around the person will contribute to the cause. Spells will only work when there is something of a like-element around to transfer energies. So, if someone from the Water Realm uses a spell to get to the Earth Realm, they will most likely appear in a large body of water. There is no cool off period with a spell, but casting it takes a little bit of time and effort. Humans will find this rather handy if they can learn how to do such a thing.

An Evasive Jump
At times when a demon is being hunted, they will go to extreme measures to stay hidden. To jump around quickly leaving a difficult trail to follow, one might grab hold of another demon as he realm jumps --catching him off guard-- and travel with him to where ever he goes. This way, the hunted demon will avoid a cool off period. Then he or she may use a realm jump to go to a different place. Their foe will follow them to the first realm, then have to cool off before being able to follow the scent further (unless they had come prepared with a spell, which usually isn‘t the case because many demons are too proud, or lack the knowledge to jump via spells).

This Doesn't Seem Right...-----------------

Time Differences
In different realms, time can either fly or creep. Excluding Purgatory, Earth Realm is the slowest moving realm there is, mainly because of all the humans who age much differently from demons. If a demon has been gone from Earth Realm for only a week there, and then returns, chances are, a few, if not many, years have passed in their home realm.

For every 1 day on Gray Realm
Holy= 20 years
Ice= 10 years
Water= 7 years
Fire= 3 years
Cyber= 2 years
Earth= 1 year
Death Realm= Time Does Not Exist

Death and Dieing
Human souls are carried on into the Death Realm from Purgatory. There are occasions where the soul is reused and sent back to Earth Realm from Purgatory; what humans call reincarnation.

If a demon is killed in battle randomly by impalement, they may come back after waiting in the Gray Realm for a year, which is how long it takes for a standard revival. However, if a demon is defeated by magic, they are completely destroyed and no soul remains (no after life for them).

Character Information -----------------
This RP is a little different, meaning I haven't attempted to make one in such a manner. Basically, instead of me, the creator of the rp, being a main character, I am expecting people who join to become the main focus of the story. I will be more of a "guide dog" and will be main support for the four main characters. Information provided offers a small look into how you should build the personality for your characters, the four humans. It's only a guide, however, and can be added to and altered to fit better with the story. Pictures for the characters are clickable links, and must be used. More Characters will be added in at a later time.

In the profile thread, there are also characters listed that a friend of mine, and myself, will play as to add to your adventures!

The Reluctant Guide Open | Reserved | Taken-- (That's me~! Sweetest December)
Although she hadn't meant for the humans to stumble upon the artifact, it was much too late now. Seeing as it was her fault that such a thing had happened, Kae could not just leave the humans alone to go crazy with evolving powers. Besides, if Takeo ever did find them, he would be sure to corrupt them. So, now Kae would have to stay near the humans at all cost, sure to not only protect them from the demons their eyes will be opened up to, but also from themselves.

The Twins
Around the age of 15, these siblings were left without parents in the world, their mother and father dieing in a terrible car accident. All of their money had been passed down to the twins to be sure that they were well taken care of and able to pursue their dreams and goals in schooling.

--Male: Open | Reserved | Taken-- (IanCross)
Age:20; You are the more awkward person out of your friends. Although you are quite comfortable around them, certain things will always make you nervous.
--Female: Open | Reserved | Taken-- (Shinar)
Age: 20; You are probably the smartest out of all of your friends. You’ve got most of what you want to do in life figured out, but still want to be around normal people that a just unsure.

The Eldest Open | Reserved | Taken-- (Katsumi_Hakubi)
Age: 23; Being the oldest out of the group can always be difficult. Responsibilities begin to take their toll on his personality as he realizes that he's fairly poor and doesn't want to depend on the twin's cash for support. He has begun to close himself off from his friends, trying to make it on his own as a true independent.

The Youngest Open | Reserved | Taken-- (Mast3rMiind)
Age: 19; Just because she is young doesn't mean she's easily intimidated. In fact, this little spit fire is quite the flirt and the boldest out of her friends. She's not wealthy, but gets by, and isn't ashamed of it one bit.

A Fifth Friend Open | Reserved | Taken-- (Lycan of the Flame)
This is someone that’s fairly new to the circle of friends. His name is Dimitre, and although there seems to be a little bit of mystery behind him, he seems like a great guy. He’s offered on more than one occasion to help tutor the twins with their math, and everyone with anything else he can manage.

A Disgruntled General Open | Reserved | Taken-- (Lycan of the Flame)
Takeo is less than happy about his missing artifact. To make matters worse, he isn’t going to be able to find it very easily because that was always a Tracker’s job. Nobles weren’t made to sniff the air for clues like dogs! Oh well, the only thing to do now is gather a few good men and conduct searches. But, where to start?

Rules -----------------

1. Literacy:
I didn't spend hours making a thread just for others to ignore the shift key and space bar.
Typing in the 3rd person is preferred.
You use quotation marks "", for dialogue, and you do NOT use asterisks ** for actions.
If your character is having a thought, make it in italics.
Try to avoid having your post be one huge chunk of text. It's okay to have paragraphs. Really.

2. OOC:
All out of character comments need to be inside a form of brackets [[ ]], or parentheses (( )), or something else similar to that. If you want to just talk, there is an OOC Thread, so don't swamp the RP with unrelated chatter.

3. Romance:
We love romance. Romance it great, but, obviously, anything that violates Gaia Online's PG-13 limit is not allowed.

4. Language:
Cursing is fine, but don’t over do it. It just looks a little tacky. If it bothers you immensely, I believe there is some sort of sensor setting Gaia has made available.

5. Posting:
Please be committed to this thread. If you no longer want to role play with us, please, for goodness sakes, tell me. Just send me a PM, or if you must, contact me via AIM@: JumbledAmbitions

6. God modding:
Don’t do it! I don't want any all-knowing characters either.

7. Originality:
Please, if it’s going to take you a few minutes to come up with a post that’s good and original, take those few minutes. It’s not so much speed that we’re looking for, more, quality. If you would like to plot something with another character, contact that character and scheme away. It’s best to involve them in your plans if you want the scheme to work, of course.

8. Joining:
If you would like to join, please PM me with the first skeleton and a small sample of your rp'ing skills, or links to rp's you have been in recently. Yes, a small sample otherwise, it doesn't need to be massive, just enough so I can see whether or not you know how to set up your sentences and be descriptive. Let's start with something random: you lost in the forest. Give me a paragraph or two. If we have already been RP'ing together, a sample isn't necessary.

9.Skeletons
When you send me your PM, use the layout provided below to fill out information about your character.

Reserving A Character -----------------
You should PM this to me first. Don't bother with the main skeleton until you've been accepted into the RP. ^^

The padded paws of a large crimson wolf pushed through the dirt and molded leaves of the thick woods quietly. It was normally a peaceful place to go and relax, to sit underneath the canopies of trees, and gaze up into the multitude of greens and browns that filled the area in this blur of nature. Yes, this was a favorite spot for many visitors of the Fire Realm, simply because it was so incredibly different from everything else they had grown to know. It was still morning, and random twitters filled the air from a clumsy orchestra of birds, some dull colored only to let the other, brilliant red ones stand out more against the jade leaves that dressed the branch they perched on so daintily. Beads of dew coated the young saplings that were fresh into this world, barely breaking through the earth to grow just a few inches toward the hidden sky. Serenity must have been this place.

The amethyst orbs that sat perfectly in the wolf’s skull peered up, briefly observing the wildlife of the Earth Realm. She was familiar enough with birds, though their appearances from one realm to another often changed, their structures were commonly built to look the same, making them quite recognizable. Their language, however, sounded much prettier here, though, with the soft tweets and whistles instead of loud whooping noises that they made back home. With a flutter of color, the small creatures began to flap their wings, startled by the sound of a snapping twig below that cracked under the wolf’s weight, and took flight, off to find a more undisturbed section of the wooded area.

The wolf’s attention slowly pulled away from the high branch, and back to her own level of sight. Her pace began to grow faster as she remembered why she was there in the first place: The Artifact. Clamped inside of her mouth, lightly coated with saliva, was a golden ball, faintly decorated with various lines that branched out in many different directions. It was a precious item, known to hold within it the very essence of knowledge and ability. If unleashed, this shiny, golden sphere could create the most powerful of demons, or one of the strongest armies in existence. The ball’s powers were contained inside, perfectly safe within the confines of the metal, and limited at that, but if the artifact was broken, it would disperse its essence immediately. Depending on how many beings were standing in the same area when it was activated was the deciding factor in strength handed out, and the only way to return the artifact back to normal was by death of the gifted ones; death by either old age, or any other way that might bring lifelessness upon a person sooner.

This important artifact that sat so firmly in the jaw of the crimson wolf was technically stolen. It definitely didn’t belong to her, but sometimes one can never go too far to protect those that are cared for. Her leader, though he had been missing for quite sometime now, was still alive, and she wasn’t the only one aware of such circumstances. Wishing to keep her lord safe from a slew of greedy, powerful men, she took the artifact and jumped realms in hopes of getting to the Wolf Clan Lord first. But, she couldn’t seem to find him here. He had a fondness for these woods, but this morning he was no where in sight or in scent.

The red wolf’s ear twitched, bothered by a small insect that insisted upon flying around her face, and a quiet growl rumbled in her throat. Apparently the growl was just a little louder than she had originally assumed, and some distance behind her a loud, metallic cocking of a pistol sounded, followed by the blast from the barrel of the gun. This was quite an absurd thing. Never had she been so sloppy as to ignore humans in the surrounding area, and this time, she would pay for it.

A loud yelp filled the air, equivalent to the sound of a dog being beaten. Tearing through her fur and flesh, the hot metal of a bullet ripped through the hind leg of the wolf. This was enough motivation to leave the maze of trees and bushes, perhaps into a more friendly area. So, the canine ran, though wounded, and pushed her way through the growth of greenery all around. The humans that had been so very quiet before were now hollering profanities into the once still area, followed by several more shots from the gunman. Still, the injured beast ran, and she broke through a thinning in the woods, stumbling into the dampest of lush grass, landing in a heap of fur onto her belly. She was panting and hurt, just waiting for her wound to heal itself. It couldn’t while she was moving, one could never heal unless one was nearly motionless, aside from the normal breathing and blinking.

*~*Jamie Audrey*~*

Jamie opened her eyes as six rolled around. She slowly sat up, her long, dark hair all in a mess, as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She gently placed her feet to the floor, and slowly walked herself to the bathroom which was attached to her bedroom.

She gingerly stepped onto one of the throw rugs, to avoid the cold tile of the bathroom floor, before she closed the door. She then began to undress from her light blue, silk pajamas, before she stepped into the shower. A shiver ran through her body, as her feet touched the cold tub, before she quickly turned on the water.

Half an hour later, the water turned off, and Jamie wrapped a fluffy dark blue towel around herself, as she stepped out of the steaming shower. She glanced at herself in the fogged mirror, as she realized that she had forgotten to turn on the fan.

She reached across and flipped the switch next to the light, and let out a sigh as the fan began to hum to life. She tucked the end of the towel into itself, to hold it in place around her body, as she pulled out the hair drier from the cabinet beneath the sink. She then proceeded to plug it in, and commense banishing the water from the dark locks from which it was already dripping.

Seven rolled around, and Jamie stepped out into her room, towel still around her, though her hair now dry and done. She walked over to her dresser, and took out an outfit from its confinds. Small, light blue jeans that fit her well, along with a dark green baby tee was the outfit of choice today.

After Jamie got dressed, she tossed the used towel in the hamper which was just inside the bathroom door. She then grabbed a couple of her notebooks, along with a pencil, before she opened her door, and headed downstairs to get something to eat. She felt like broiled toast...

She made her way into the kitchen, and set her notebooks and pencil on the counter. She then grabbed out two pieces of honey wheat bread, and the butter. She turned on the broiler of the oven, before continuing to butter the two pieces of bread. Within five minutes, she had her desired toast, along with a glass of cool water, and a cut up and sugared grapefruit.

She then proceeded to the table, and set the place for herself. Another two minutes, and she had sat down, having barely finished grace, and then opened one of the notebooks as she took her first bite of toast...

User Image
The sun was up ALREADY?

The wooden exterior of the rented house was slightly soaked with morning dew. Lavi was outside as well, leaned against the wall adjacent to the entrance smoking his morning cigarette. He'd pulled an all-nighter finishing up a term paper just as he'd gotten off from work. He was still in his uniform, and smelled like sweat, insomnia, and BBQ ribs. Being a waiter really introduced you to some shitty human beings. But what could be done about it? Tuition wasn't going to pay itself, and he couldn't keep asking the twins to get the majority of rent. What kind of adult was HE then? Relying on adolescent inheritance money... The thought of it made his skin crawl. It was something he'd never do. He knew he was better than that despite what life kept throwing him into.

The sound of the girl's bathroom caught his attention, and he took his cigarette out of his lips to glance up at the accommodating window. It was fogged up, but he could tell by the shape of the head and hair-type that it was more than likely Jamie. Probably going through her morning rituals of a shower, then breakfast. He exhaled a long breath, letting out the smoke and sighing in relief for the hit of nicotine. Bags were no doubt formed under his eyes; in the span of the last three days, he'd managed a whole four hours of sleep through it all. His work was done for now; he had no class this day and work wasn't mandatory unless someone called for him to cover. If anything, this was a rare day off. A day he could spend with his friends. Hopefully.

Lavi let his mind drift to sleep as long as Jamie was in the shower. The sound of the water turning off woke him back up. It seemed that his body was too used to no sleep that it couldn't rest for too long. Probably a good idea. It was a silly fear, but perhaps if he ever relaxed and fell asleep with no worries, he'd never wake up ever again. With a stretch, he decided that he should at least change clothes, and pushed off the wall to go back inside.

That is, until a bundle of red tumbled into their backyard.
Lavi stared at it as it made its stop in the grass. His cigarette surprisingly put itself out while he dozed off for a moment, so he only re-lit it and approached the strange bundle while taking another long drag.
Either he was too tired to be suspicious or fearful, or he honestly was just fearless. The closer he got, he realized this bundle was an animal. Perhaps a wild wolf that stumbled into civilization from humanity's scourge of deforestation. Lavi noticed another shade of red then, different from the wolf's fur. Blood. The poor thing was hurt!

"Hey there lil guy," he spoke as gently as he could. "You okay there? How'd you get hurt?" Lavi paused to look away from the creature and blow out his intake of smoke. When he turned back to the animal, he knelt down in front of it and noticed it had a ball of some kind in its mouth. How strange! He popped his cigarette back into his mouth and carefully held it in place by clenching it back near his molars.
"Is that your toy? Huh. Maybe you belong to someone...? Or you just found it from some irresponsible kid..."
Still careful not to get TOO close, he tried to inspect the wound as best he could from their distance, "Awe man... Don't tell me those pig-headed hunters are back...! That looks like a gun-shot wound- -..." He glanced up at the trees as a distant rifle shot rang off. A scowl wore itself on his face, "Sorry about that. Not all humans are ignorant jack asses. You friendly enough for me to try to help fix that?"

Even though he knew the wolf couldn't understand him, he still held his hand out as an offer of peace. That, and it was the one that smelled strongly of BBQ sauce.

Dimitre/Lukos

There are two sides…..

User Image
A loud blaring noise filled the small room as sunlight began to penetrate the cracks in the blinds over the small window. The room would have seemed almost empty with the exception of a small hand which rose from a clumping of sheets, pillows, and blankets, blindly swatting at an alarm clock next to the bed. After a few attempts the hand moved sideways, slamming into the small clock, forcing it onto the floor where it shattered into a thousand tiny pieces.

The collection of blankets, swirled around on the bed, slowly inching towards the end before collapsing onto the ground, taking their inhabitants along with them. A figure sloppily rose to a sitting position placing his hand on his head.
"Ow.....” he moaned, blinking his eyes as they tried to adjust to the light. His head slowly rotated, inspecting the small dorm room, trying to figure out what happened to his clock, before his eyes focused in on the pieces. “Damnit….” He said before yawning, “… That’s the fifth one this month… I really need to find a better place for them.” He rose to his feet allowing his coverings to slide off of his frame and land softly on the ground. He placed his hand on his hair before scratching his head for a few seconds.

He walked over to the door and placed his hand on the knob before realizing that he was completely naked, and that walking into a crowded hallway whilst being in such a state would be a bad decision. He bent down and picked up a pair of boxers which had been discarded the previous night, before opening his door and walking over the bathroom. No one really minded him being in his boxers, although he did get a few weird looks from the girls as he always did. Not so much because he was only wearing boxers, as there were lots of people who did that, but more for the scar which rested on his back and abdomen. Almost like he was stabbed by something which went straight through… and in reality… it had. Lukos had once asked him if he wanted to get rid of the scar, but he thought it was a pretty good reminder of the life he used to live.
User Image
He stepped into the men’s bathroom, and took his place in one of the many unoccupied shower stalls, considering that it was still quite early there weren’t many people waiting to shower, which was mainly why he insisted getting up so early. He slipped off his boxers and started the rush of hot water… which splashed against his skin. He let out a long sigh of relief which was mixed with yet another yawn, he was more tired then he normally was for some odd reason, but that wouldn’t be enough to slow his daily routine. As he was enjoying the feeling of the water he heard a voice from deep within his brain,
“So, Dimitre, any exhilarating plans for today? Or is it going to be all book learning again?”

Dimitre smiled to himself, answering low enough so that the sound of the water would overpower the noise to anyone who might be passing by… he didn’t need people to think that he was insane.
“Nope, no appointments today, so I figured I would pop over to check on the twins, see if they needed any help with anything.” To be honest he didn’t really expect to do any tutoring, and just felt like being around his friends, but he didn’t know if a demon would understand something like friendship, so rather than be ridiculed he pretended to only be their tutor. After he had finished washing himself he turned off the water and exited the shower. He had completely forgotten to bring a towel, so he just slipped his boxers on over his wet skin, completely soaking them. Not that it would matter for long, since he could just dry off back in his dorm.

“Alright then, if that’s all I am just going back to sleep, wake me up if anything interesting happens” the voice replied. It seemed that lately Lukos had become bored with Dimitre’s daily life, and as such remained quiet most of the time. He had even stopped taking control of their body, which was nice because it gave Dimitre more time for things like friends. He hadn’t had any real companionship since he left Russia all those years ago, but now that his accent had vanished and so much time had passed without him really aging, he seemed to make four of them, which he enjoyed to spend time with as much as he could, even though none of them knew his deep dark secret. Bound to a demon for over two centuries…. He shook his head as he continued to smile, “Today is going to be a good day” He said out loud, catching quite a few odd stairs from people near by as he made his way back to his dorm room to pick out his outfit.

To have a twin is to have
Another extension of a mind,
a body, and even a heart...

She was up. There was no doubt in his mind that his sister was up and already moving around the rented house. He could feel it tugging him at the back of his mind with every step she took. Knowing her the first thing that would follow her getting out of bed was the usual routine, a shower. This had been her routine ever since they were little, she had always gotten up first and took a shower, and he would too shortly follow the same routine. They were twins after all.

When the water had been turned off his eyes almost opened as if they were cued to do so. It was more of a habit than anything, for this same routine had been going on for years between the two of them for years. His room was the plain room for a college student to live in. It was bordered by four walls, his bed being on the wall that could be seen from the entrance to his room. on the adjacent wall was a computer which had been turned off as to not wake him in his sleep. In the room almost nothing was out of place, not the books that were on the computers desk, nor the neatly folded clothes from yesterday that had been placed in his dirty laundry basket. Surely if some one were to come into the room without him in there they would think it was his sisters. But That was not the case, this was his.

Almost instinctively his arm shot towards the alarm clock that was upon the windowsill of his room. As his hand reached it the Bell of the alarm clock began to ring. Though its cry was short lived as to the switch was soon after turned to the off position. With this he moved his feet from underneath the covers and onto the soft carpeted floor before he began to stretch his calves enough to make sure they were awake.

After making sure this was indeed the case, he stood up to reveal that he had on only a pair of Sleeping pants. After all, he would not dare sleep in his boxers when there were two females in the house with him. To him it would be quite embarrassing to be seen in not but his boxers. Though it could not be seen under most of his clothes, his slender build was actually quite muscular and it showed that he did do some muscular training.

With a quick yawn Ian stretched his arms and then began to move towards his closet. upon arriving he opened it and grabbed some neatly hung clothes from out of it. Once he had what he wished to wear for the occasion he took what he had and walk out of his room and towards the male bathroom.

Whence he came to the door and opened it a familiar smell came from out of it. The smell was that of cigarette smoke and shampoo or soap mixing together. Altogether it was one of the smells that he had become accustomed to whilst sharing the house with a chain smoker. Upon removing what was left of his clothing he took a step into the shower and turned it on to let the hot water wash away the nights filth.

Not ten minutes had passed as to whence the water had been shut off from the constant barrage of Ian. With this he reached for the towel which had been placed on a rack just outside the shower curtain, where he drug it back into the closed shower and began to dry himself off. Once he had finished Ian took a step out onto the bathroom rug that had been placed right outside of the shower. This had not always been here. After Ian had Knocked himself unconscious from Slipping upon the wet tile and hitting his head against the side of the tub; They all agreed that it was probably safe to put one in there, as to keep it from happening again.

Ian stepped out onto the cold tile after making sure that his feet were not wet enough to cause him to fall backwards. A few minutes passed and soon a fully clothed person stepped from out of the male bathroom. Today's Outfit was a pair of jeans with a Greenish white colored tee shirt with a stripe of blue on the sleeves, a pair of dark blue loose fit jeans, and a pair of socks on his feet to keep them warm.

After making sure that his outfit was fitting well, and the collar of his shirt was down he began to walk down the stairs holding onto the hand rail as he did so. Once again a habit that had begun to start after having an accident on stairs. After all, he tended to be a little bit accident prone, and Murphy's Law was almost as familiar with him than His sister of his friends.

When he arrived in the Kitchen he noticed that his sister was indeed up and eating some toast. ''Good mourning Heather.'' He said as he walked towards the stove to heat up some water for his mourning batch of tea. While he was at the stove waiting for the water to boil he took a few steps to the side and turned on the coffee pot, knowing for sure that it would get some people to come downstairs and get something to eat.

Whence the kettle began to whistle he turned the Stove top which the kettle was under off and pulled a Tea cup from the cabinet to which they were stored. On his way back to the stove he pulled out a Earl Gray tea packet from beside the sink and walked back to the boiling water inside the tea kettle. Ripping the seal open with ease Ian placed the Earl tea pouch into the bottom of the tea cup before pouring the scalding water on top of it. almost instantly the water began to Turn a black muddied water. After a few seconds he pulled the packet containing the herbs from the tea and placed a spoon into the cup to stir around the liquid contained in it.

With the cup in hand Ian walked steadily to the table where he placed his cup of tea across from his sister, where he himself sat down shortly after. To him, this was just a normal Rest day for the House.

The crimson wolf heard the approaching steps of a human slowly squishing down in the wet grass under his weight. Her bright purple eyes were now closed as she scented the nearing human, he was coated in the scent of cooked meat and testosterone, amongst various other smells including a strange, unfamiliar smoke. With a small growl at first, the wolf tried to move her head away from him to protect the precious artifact, but the human spoke in a very soothing voice, as if he had been speaking to any other human. With further sniffs in the air, she confirmed he was the only one there with her, and she wondered if he knew she was more than just a wolf.

Barely opening her amethyst eyes, the wolf stared up at a hand that was outstretched toward her nose. She had already smelled him from afar, but perhaps this was the way humans approached canines in general. Nevertheless, she wasn’t ready for any contact, that was, unless someone wanted to be severely burned. The wolf staggered as she lifted her self with her front legs, then pushed herself away from the human. She dropped the artifact out of her mouth, and moved back, her body beginning to heat from the inside to an intense temperature, the bullet lodged into her muscle began to slowly melt down, pouring out of the entrance would against her fur. As soon as the bullet was out, her wound began to close up completely, though the process was hidden under her fur, so the chances of the human knowing that she was all better was unlikely.

She rolled her body into the wet grass, allowing the drying alloy to rub off onto the greenery before it hardened on top of her fur. At this point she looked like a happy dog flipping around on the ground. Afterwards, she stood, no longer shaky, and walked back over to the artifact, grabbing it with her mouth once more. It was a delicate thing, and if she didn’t watch it, the human might take it and break it apart.

With a lowered head, the wolf walked over to the friendly human. Perhaps if she sucked up to him well enough she could use his home as shelter until she could Realm Jump again. If the “pig-headed hunters” were around, as this human had said, then perhaps the woods wouldn’t be the best place for her in this form, and at this point, she really didn’t want to walk around in her superior one. A small whimper sounded from the red wolf as she stared up at him with pitiful purple eyes. She hadn’t thought to make them a normal color, like blue, at the time. Boy was she getting sloppy.

Lavi retracted his hand as the wolf scooted away at first. He didn't want to risk getting bitten. Or rabies.
Instead, he put his hand back to work by holding his cigarette in place as he took another long hit.

He cracked a grin as the wolf started to roll around in the grass. Didn't canines usually do this to mark their scent? The creature must have claimed their home as its territory already. How cute.
Not that it was intentional, but even through the thick, pretty fur, he noticed this was a female wolf rolling around. She got back onto her feet and took the toy back in between those sharp teeth. It must have been a favorite to be handled so delicately by a wild animal.

It approached him finally with a lowered head; she seemed a little sheepish now. A whimper cued him to smile a little more and he removed his cigarette out of his mouth.
"No need to make those noises girl. You're safe here," as Lavi spoke, smoke leaked out through his teeth. Perhaps it looked intimidating, but seeing as she was a dangerous animal, maybe they'd be on the same page. They were more than likely just intimidating looking beings with plush insides. Good people, so to speak.
"Heeeeey... Look at you...!" He leaned over somewhat, "You've got a gorgeous pair of eyes girl! Don't even see that shade of purple in flowers. You must really be something special."

He didn't dwell on it. Not as if he was going to get an answer from her with that ball in her mouth, right? Lavi turned and patted the side of his thigh, glancing over his shoulder at the wolf, "Well, come on girl. Let's go inside. Maybe we've got some leftovers to feed you. You look like you need something else in those jaws."
Since the girls had made such a fuss about his smoking, Lavi spat on the end of his cigarette and flicked it to the overflowing ashtray - which was really just a well bucket - by the side of the house. Ozzy was probably the only one who knew he sometimes smoked in the bathroom. Sometimes he just didn't want to go outside, and going up the old, creaky basement steps were loud enough to wake the dead. Adding the walk over aged floorboards, carpet, and then opening and closing the door would be salt in the wound.

Speaking of said door, it creaked just as horrendously as the stairs. The morning mist had probably eroded and rusted the hinges after all this time. It needed a good oiling. Or to be fully replaced. Whichever would be cheaper in the long run.
He stepped inside and held the door open for the wolf to follow, if she so chose to. He could smell coffee brewing and remains of toast. Both the twins were up.
"Ozzy, Jamie! How do you two feel about dogs?"

*~*Jamie Audrey*~*

Jamie was roughly halfway through her first piece of toast, when she looked up to her twin brother coming into the kitchen. "Good Morning Ian," She said cheerily, whilst giving him a warm smile. "Did you sleep alright?" She asked, before she took another bite of toast. She didn't think that this morning would be any different from the countless they had already shared in this house.

But, as she heard Leviathan calling into them from the back, something about a dog, the glimpse of a thought crossed her mind that it might not be so much the same as it always had been. And, it would turn out that the thought was correct. But, she did not dwell on it long enough to even consider the consequences. Not that she probably would have ever come up with them, without further information.

But, she would certainly be getting more information on teh subject. "Dogs?" She wondered aloud, as she put her piece of toast down. "Did Lav go and find a stray puppy or something?" She asked the general atmoshere, as she continued her vocal thought process and stood up from her chair at the table at the same time.

"Lav?" She called, as she walked to the doorway of the kitchen, "Lav, did you find a stray?" She asked, for that was the most logical thing that could have happened in her mind. But, as she glanced down the hallway, and saw through the open door the red-furred wolf, she stopped dead.

Jamie took in a sharp breath. The color of the wolf's fur reminded her of fire, causing her heart to start thudding almost painfully against the inside of her rib cage. "Wha..." She started, but had to stop, not quite sure what she was going to ask. "Where did you find it?" She asked, her voice airy with unease and uncertainty. Not that she didn't trust Lavi, just...the color of the fur certainly took her off guard.

Jamie stood there, stunned, with her hand against the wall to help support her. She wanted Ian. Though he was, for the most part, even more skiddish than her, she still wanted her brother, her twin there beside her. But, she took another step forward; it was like taking a step that ripped away from herself. Though she didn't feel that the animal was threatening. Quite the contrary. Its overall being appeared calm, in a submissive, or gentle, mind set. Jamie could see it in its eyes. It was just...

"Well, it certainly is beautiful," She breathed.

Unexpected.

'Very well, and you?' would have been his response to his sisters question, but at the time she had asked him how he slept, his mouth was currently being occupied by the tea cup and its liquid. As such he thought it not wise to try and choke himself with the scalding liquid so early in the mourning. Not that he hadn't done it in the past, but That didn't mean he wanted to do it in the future or present either.

After he had placed the Tea cup down and was about to answer the question prompted by his twin a familiar creaking of the front door. This was shortly followed shortly by the chiming of Lavi whom had called down the hall a question for the two of them. Ian looked at his sister and shrugged. He had no problem with a dog, as long as it was house trained of course.

As his sister stood from her seat and walked out of the kitchen, so did he. however as she had left with not a thing in her hand, he took his hot tea with him. As he followed his sister out he chimed. ''I have no problem with a...'' He started as he turned the corner to come face to face with a wolf.

It was at this moment where his Clutz factor kicked in. Trying to stop on a tile floor would have been so much easier in bare feet. Luckily for him, his feet were clad in ankle high socks. Add this to the factor of surprise to coming in contact with a wild wolf in the house, And a Clutz moment is born. What momentum that had built up from him moving, the shock of seeing a blood red wolf in front of him, and the force of him trying to scoot back away from the wild animal, caused his balance foot to slide out from beneath him. This sent him falling down with the hot liquid in the cup flying upwards arching towards his now collapsing body.

In what almost felt as if it was in slow motion, Ian came tumbling down to the floor. Safe to say he had caught the cup before it hit the floor, but the tea as to which he had been drinking, was now everywhere. ''Dog...'' He said finishing his statement from before as he looked up at the red furred creature before him. ''But that isn't exactly a dog. That's a wolf my friend.'' Said Ian with a frightened tone in his voice as he began to scoot back from the door with a mildly frightened look on his face. It wasn't long until he had pulled far enough away from the wild creature to have his nerves be at more of an ease.

It was at that point the burning sensation of the tea reminded him he had spilt it all over himself as he fell. This sent him in a Rush to take off the shirt that had been soaked in the hot liquid before it burnt him further. All in the mean while of Saying words to express his burning skin as he did so. By the time he had pulled it off and tossed it to the side to let it cool, he had red marks where the liquid had set.

'What a day.' he thought to himself as he laid back down onto the tile. After what had just happened he was hard pressed to say no, but it wasn't fully his house to have the say in it. There were three other people whom were helping pay the rent. Though he and his sister were paying the most, the fact that the other two were also helping, meant they had a right to say too. ''Ask Heather and Flynn, As for me. I can't really say I'm for it at the moment.'' The frightened man said, nervousness clearly in his voice as he looked at the wolf before him.

What a Day it was going to be.

Joselin Juniper Flynn woke up that morning with a throbbing headache, a scratchy feeling in her throat, and a pillow on top of her head. A long, low groan came out of her throat as she tried to remember the events of the night before. Aaaaaah....You're hungover.... Flynn's head-voice told her. "I know!" Flynn said back, and winced. She did that a lot, talking to herself. It kept her sane. Flynn sat up, long, dark brown hair falling messily over her eyes, curls and waves plastered to her face by hours of pillow-sleeping.

Flynn looked around her room, barely able to open her eyes from the insane pounding in her head. A troupe of dwarves must have walked in through her ears and were attacking the inside of her head with their pickaxes. Glancing at the clock, Flynn noticed that she had roughly forty-five minutes before her first class of the day. Damn. Flynn thought. I woke up in time. Flynn had been planning on sleeping right through Calc today, but apparently her brain wasn't going to let her.

She staggered into the shower and went through her daily ritual of getting ready, standing under the steaming water until her headache had diminished slightly. Flynn left the bathroom dripping, eyes closed, hair up in a towel, and checked the hall for the boys before heading back to her room. There, Flynn got dressed, headed down the stairs, and collapsed into a chair with fifteen minutes until she had to leave. She was halfway through her hangover-cure-cocktail when she realized it was effing Saturday and she didn't have Calc this morning--or any classes for that matter.

"Ahhhhggggg....." Flynn groaned, before making her bleary eyes focus on the gross soupy stuff she was making. Flynn finished it, drained the nasty cup, grimaced, and collapsed on the sofa.

"I'm up!" She said, half-victoriously, and just loud enough to make her head hurt. The ache was already going away.

Oh yeah. Flynn is only nineteen, right? And she was out drinking last night. Does she care? No.

Flynn knew the others were up. She was always the last one. So where were they, then? "Hell-ooo?" She asked quietly. Flynn forced herself to stand, and dragged her feet out into the hallway. Not seeing the wolf yet, Flynn shot her mouth off in Ozzy's direction, as usual. "Ooh, Ozzster. I see you're showing off for the ladies. But you don't have to. I like you just the same."

She yawned quietly, eyes still not focused. But when they did get together...was it Flynn's un-contacted eyes or was there a wolf in the hallway. Flynn screamed, backing against the wall in much the same pose as Jamie.

"Wha--what is that?!" She asked, barely keeping her voice under control. ""Please tell me I'm just hungover, Lavi." It was obviously "Lavi's" Wolf, because it was standing next to him.
