 This is a place for all of the bookwroms that are hanging about [and i know there are some!! You can't hide!!]! Talk about books, recomend books, compair books, anything that has to do with books.
Heck, talk about your favorite bookstore if you are so inclined! Fiction or Nonfiction, series or not, talk about what you like to read. Have a fovorite condition for reading? Why not mention that too! I personally love to read under my porch durning storms. Chatter away dearies!
Though i would like to mention a couple things first:
-- This is for books, not manga or comics. While I too love manga and such, it needs to be discussed elsewhere.
-- If you disagree with someone's taste, say so politely. I know that saying "Everyone has their own taste" is a bit of a cliche, but seriously, the fewer arguments the better. Not to discourage debate, just no fighting.
-- Spoilers are okay, just put a warning first. I know i hate it when i accedentally stumble across the ending of a book i was going to read. Be conciderate for other who might want to check out what you're talking about. A simple "SPOILER WARNING!" at the top of your post would do nicely.
-- Follow the guild and gaia rules! We don't want our lovely captain yelling at us, now do we? He's awesome for creating this guild, don't make him mad!!
-- Please try to refrain from conversations that don't have to do with books. There are other places for that.
Alright, so that just about wraps up my introduction! If you didn't catch it earlier, I'm Mia, and I'll be happy to clerify any of the above for you if you have questions.

I can read any time, any where.
But my favorite time to read is when it storms. I use my little desk lamp and sit on my bed. ^_^

I am the same way!!
If i can get caught up in a good story i can read it anywhere XDD
I remember usuing my cellphone as a light once when my booklight batteries went dead ^w^
I love reading during storms too.
Storms seem to boost my creative thinking and make it easier for me to be in the story.
I love them!

I love books. I can read th em anywhere anytime.
I love cuddling up with my guy at night and reading together.
Its romantic and sweet. And I agree 100% about storms.
makes the imagination run wild which can be a good thing.
What are some of your Fav books?
I have been reading the Gunslinger series by Stephen King. its really great.
It has all his characters into one book. Im on the last one now. butt here a re seven total.

My favorite books?
At the moment, I really like the Sabriel Trilogy [though i've heard rumors that there might be a fourth book soon...]
And The Keys to the Kingdom series [also by Garth Nix] are also on my list.
And the Hunger Games was excelent as well.

There are quite a few others, but none i can think of at the moment XD
Hm, that sounds interesting.
I'm not really one for Stephen King books, but maybe i'll look into some of them?
Are there any you recomend?

I LOVE Garth Nix. Shade's Children is by far my favorite novel by him. There's so many books and and authors I like that it's hard just to name some favorites. But a few are: +Eoin Colfer (really loved the Supernaturalists and the Eternity Code+Nick Sagan (the son of scientist Carl Sagan) +James Rollins (writes a lot like Dan Brown, but better in my opinion) +L.J. Smith (the only really good vampire novel author) Eurrg, there are so many more I could list >.<

Omg! I think I heard someone say they like/know the book called The Hunger Games!!! You canNOT believe how much I love that book. My #1 favorite awesome-ness so far. xD
And Mia, did you know that the sequel to it is coming out in September and I think it was gonna be called Crossing the Fire or something like that. Susanne Collins is an awesome author >.<

But it isn't my only favorite, just to let you know.
I'm kinda into Greek Mythology right now, so I've been reading the
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The last - fifth - book came out recently and I haven't gotten a chance to get my hands on it DX
If I count all of my fave books, there's probably more than a hundred, so, I won't be listing all of them. And my favorite genres so far are: Science-Fiction, Fantasy, and Realistic-Fiction. ( I'm kinda not into non-fiction xd )
And I like reading anywhere, anytime. But at night, on my bed, seems like my favorite time and place so far. And if I'm reading a book, that's it, there's no way you'll get me off the book, unless I close it myself >.<
Even if there's a war going on right next to me, I might not notice it xD
(Gawd, that's a lot of writing O.O )

@ Tinaateurface: ha, awesome, another fan of Garth Nix! I have yet to read Shade's Children, but i will certainly check it out. It just souinds good!
And i also loved the Supernaturalists. I've read it about three times now XD It's a really good book.
@ TR-Alice: Yes, i loved the Hunger Games. I couldn't put it down XDD It was really good.
In September? Yay!! I didn't even realize it was a "Book 1" until the end XDD
And i started the Percy Jackson and the Olypians too! I haven't finished the first one yet though....

I like reading Darren shan's novels ^.^ I haven't read lord loss and i haven't finished Crique du freak (sp?) but I really enjoy reading it ^.^ I kinda got POed that my favorite character died ^.^ so I have yet to finish the series sweatdrop
I enjoyed the twilight series for the most part ^.^ ((before it was popular))

But now, it's cool to "hate it" so everyone's hating it -_-

I can't figure out whether Twilight is underrated or overrated sweatdrop So many people hate it, so many people like it, and so many people pretend to hate or like it. I personally enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite series.
