I don't have any sort of audio interface at the moment, so I can't really record a passage from a movie into Audacity or anything, so I was wondering if anyone knew any good free or open-source program for ripping the audio tracks from movies.

(Yes, all movies I will be sampling are public domain.)

Oh damn....I know this doesnt help, but I know you can search for some sites for free movie samples. You'd load them as a wave on something like FL.

I wish I knew the sites by heart. I'm sorry.

I don't use FL, I use Linux Multimedia Studio.

Go to the Loops/samples thread i had created.. Apok had asked about a specific movie she wanted samples from, and i gave a response with a link to a site that has movie wavs, and has links to other ones...you can usually find what you want on there

Nononnonnnonoooooooooooo. I don't want loops someone has already made, because there are none of the movies I am sampling. I wanted to do it myself.

Also, LMMS is okay, but it doesn't like to work with some VSTi. Not only that but it's been locking up whenever I try to open up a project with DSK Drumz 2. I'll probably end up dual booting my PC with Ubuntu Studio so I can use Rosegarden and Ardour, but for now I think I'm ******** lol.
