It was a dark rainy night, the wind was blowing creating the sound of rustling leaves. The path through the forest was wet and muddy, leaves blown from the trees littered the ground. A few birds had taken shelter within the trees, a nearby log being used as shelter for a small fox.

Chaos was walking down this path, his drenched cloak was dragging in the mud behind him. His soaked hair covered his face, one eyes gazed out from under the hair and a wicked smile on his face. Every step he took left a deep footprint within the mud that not even his dragging cloak could cover up.

Chaos had been sent to assassinate the leader of a group of mercenaries who had been traveling across into the Gaioh boundaries to loot the nations villages. The group had been warned multiple times had they had failed to listen. Now Chaos had been sent to solve the problem once and for all. His task was simple, kill there leader; that however was not Chaos's style.

The groups hideout was an abandoned fort that was used during the great shinobi war. That made the mission only much more difficult since the fort had concrete flooring, preventing Chaos from using his Demon Vine Techniques. Since Chaos's couldn't take his favorite was into the fort, Chaos would simply use the front door.

As Chaos neared the fort he quickly took of the two men who were guarding the front doors. They seemed to be rouges who had abandoned the Jungle Village. Chaos didn't want to alert the entire fort just yet, he would play a waiting game. Taking cover within some foliage he watched the two guards, waiting for their relief.

After about two hours two new guards had emerged from inside the fort to relieve the guards. The four men stood there talking for a small bit, yet they were to far for Chaos to note their words. Chaos however used this to his edge. Taking a small stone he threw it into a nearby puddle. This started the guards, unsure what the sound was.

The two former guards nodded to the other two to check out the noise. After a groan the two men began to proceed to the path. Chaos waited until they had walked past him before he struck. Moving quickly among the foliage Chaos flanked not the guards investigating but the two who had decided to wait.

The two men standing by the door were to busy watching their allies to notice Chaos's advance and that would be their death. Moving in behind the guards, Chaos suddenly and quickly used the vines that made of his body to attack the guards. His vines wrapped around their mouths and neck, keeping them quite so they could not alert their fellow men.

The guards grabbed the vines trying to pry them away but to no avail. Chaos just chuckled as he choked them both unconscious, then snapping their necks for the joy of it. Chaos's blood lust was quickly interrupted though by the sound of the two returning guards. Chaos quickly took cover again moving quickly to get back to his start position.

The two guards emerged to see the two dead bodies of their fellow mercenaries. One stepped back in shock and the other ran forward to check up on them. A chuckle emerged from Chaos's mouth as his vines once again shot out grabbing the man who had stayed behind. Chaos didn't waste anytime with this one however, snapping his neck and dragging him into the foliage.

"Henry..." The last guard said as he turned around to see that his friend was gone. "What... Where did you go!" He quickly ran over to where Henry was standing at a few seconds ago. He looked around until he saw his friend's corpse. "Oh god!" He quickly ran over to the corpse checking for life signs. "How can this..." He stood there for a second as a hand emerged from his chest holding his heart.

Chaos stood behind him chuckling, his entire arm inside the guard. "Disappear into nothingness." Chaos said as he pulled his arm out from the guard, still holding the beating heart. The body fell forward onto his friend, a pool of blood forming underneath them. "Pathetic." Chaos said crushing the heart within his hand, taking the time to lick some of the blood off his hand. "Lovely..."

Chaos turned and began to walk to the doors of the fort. Most of the men within would be asleep and would be easy takings for Chaos.

The doors swung open and Chaos emerged into the fort. He quickly spotted three groups of twos guards who were protecting the barracks, mess hall, and the their leaders quarters. Taking his opportunity he quickly took refuge behind a nearby tree. His best bet was to take care of the barracks first which would weaken their forces greatly.

Moving along the shadows Chaos quickly moved into position at the side of the barracks. He wouldn't be able to kill the two men in front since doing so would alert the other four guards in the area. So he would simply use a window to enter the barracks.

Chaos quietly opened the window and climbed into the barracks. Before he could even touch the ground however he heard the words. "Intru..." That was as much the man got to say before a kuani with explosive tag was lodged into this throat. "Perish..."

The explosion tossed countless soldiers into the wall, breaking bones and leaving them helpless to Chaos's plans. Those who were unaffected quickly jumped to their feet only to have a vine pierce their throat. Chaos was now on a murder spree. Countless members of the soldiers were executed before they could even get their weapons, others moved quickly to take cover from Chaos's attacks.

"You will all feed my vines!" Chaos said as he viscously murdered one after another of the men. A few tried to charged at Chaos only for two of them to have Chaos's hand around their throat while the others were stabbed countless times by Chaos's vines.

The two men in his hands struggled to get free as Chaos just stood their laughing. "Now you will..." Chaos words were cut short as four crossbow bolts pierced his back. He looked behind him to see the four of the six guards standing at the doorway. Countless other men moving out the door behind them to seek refuge. "Pathetic..." Chaos said as he crushed the two mens' necks in his grasp, tossing their bodies to the side.

"DIE YOU MONSTER!" One yelled as the four men fired bolt and crossbow bolt into Chaos. Chaos however just ignored their attacks and slowly started walking towards them. "A monster huh?" Chaos chuckled as he drew his sword. "Well then you are ********... Only a man can kill a monster! You are nothing but dogs!" Chaos said as he suddenly charged forward at the four men.

"Now!" Two of the guards threw down their crossbows and drew their swords. They then quickly charged at Chaos while their fellow guards continued firing their crossbows. In a matter of seconds both green and red blood flew through the air. "Impossible!" The two guards in the back said as they gazed at a horrific scene.

Chaos had two sword through his chest. The two guards stood there, a smile on their face thinking they had done the job, Chaos's lifeless stare gazing at them. They quickly tried to pull their swords out however to see their blades had been grabbed by vines. "And now you die." Chaos said as he lifeless gaze became a smile of a madman!

A headless body fell to the floor, his head rolling to the side. The other had a handful of explosive tags shoved in his throat and was kicked into the air landing a few feet in front of their comrades, the tags exploding as soon as he hit the ground. The last two guards turned to flee but to no avail. Countless senbon needles flew through the air into their backs turning them into lifeless pincushions. "Enjoy your stay in Yomi you fools." Chaos said stepping over their bodies to the outside so he could greet the remaining soldiers.

Outside the few remaining men had taken up arms, their leader standing behind the group. He growled and yelled out to the intruder. "You! How dare you invade our land! We will make sure you and your village pays for this."

Chaos just chuckled at his words and he gazed upon his few remaining men. "You will have to kill me first." Chaos yelled as he charged forward into the crowd of the remaining soldiers.

Red and green blood flew through the air like ribbons. Bodies littered the ground from Chaos's madness. Chaos moved through the guards killing each of them with no mercy, even taking time to grab one by the throat and breaking neck, littering his body explosive tags and tossing it into a crowd of men. After about a minute only two people remained standing, Chaos and the leader of the group.

"How... You should be dead!" The leader said as Chaos stood there before him. Chaos had countless swords, yari, and crossbow bolts sticking out of his body. His green blood slowly dripping from his body. Chaos however just laughed as he began to pull the weapons from his body, one at a time.

"You can not kill me so easily." Chaos said as he tossed the last of the weapons to the ground. "Dogs can't kill a monster..." Chaos began to walk forward towards the man. Licking his lips with every step. "Now you will disappear into nothingness!"

The man quickly drew his sword to fight back but to no avail. His sword was quickly parried to the side and he could feel the cold hands of Chaos around his throat. He quickly began to struggle only for him to be slammed against the wall.

Chaos just laughed wildly as he pinned the man to the wall with his hand. Chaos would make sure his death would be a sign to other nations. Picking up a naginata that was on the ground he raised it into the air. The man struggled the best he could before Chaos jammed the naginata down the man's throat and out through his lower body. The man gazed at Chaos, his insides ripped apart by the naginata. Chaos then lifted the spear and man into the air and jammed the spear into the wall, his body hanging the spear like a kabob.

"Hehehehe... HAHAHAHA!" Chaos's laugher echoed throughout the base. Death littered the entire fort, countless bodies littered the grounds. Once Chaos had finished laughing he took his leave. Chuckling as he vanished into the darkness outside of the fort. His mission was complete except with Chaos's own little twist.

I was nice to Henry, I only snapped his neck. Now his friend was not so lucky. I was just heartless to him.

I think I'm going to start calling you Henry. What do you think?

Curse my failure with words! crying I cannot sum up my opinion of the awesomeness the way I want to.

Its good stuff, really is, but I think chaos says "Disappear into nothingness..." a bit too often for such a short story. I guess everyone needs a saying though, right?

Needs more burning fort and screaming people, but otherwise, a good read.
