Along the eastern border of the Forest of Twilight, the firm, leaf-covered ground gives way to marshland, where the trails are perilous to all who use them, unless one is frighteningly familiar with the bogs' treacherous ways. Here, the racia are gnarled and misshapen, as if the soggy ground has warped them as well. There's also fallen trees that angle harshly in the dim light that filters through, making the area difficult to navigate as well as dangerous. One misstep can send an unwary traveller to their death, for the stinking black mud can swallow a being up before anyone else even thinks to miss them.

High in a misshapen racia tree, in the comfortable curve and crook of the warped branches, a very green eye cracked open within a very green face. The greenness of the fur, a color too unnatural to be mistaken for part of the tree itself, glowed dimly. As the small rishlan stretched, mouth opening wide in a green-tongued yawn, her strange translucent wings flicking and fluttering a bit, making sure they were good and stretched out. After a nice and thorough stretch and a good scratch-behind-the-ears, the fluffy green rishlan turned around three times and nestled back into the welcoming crook of the deformed tree she called home.

Vasuman walked slowly and carefully along the pathline that was part of the bog. The stench of the place wasn't intirely that bad, but it was still horrid. Harks flicked slightly as he took in the sounds of the things around him and he shifted his weight evenly across the narrow path as to not fall into the bog. His orange body glistened slightly in the pale light and his mane seemed to glow like a buring fire as he looked about the area his gray eyes searching. He continued his treck, not seeing anyone, and he wondered if there might be someone out there.

From her napping-spot in the tree, Abby's eye cracked open again. Someone was here, in the bog... she heard the squelching sound that usually accompanied a wanderer. Her other eye opened, she spotted the wanderer. Wings fluttering at a speed that would make a hummingbird dizzy, she leapt from the tree and hovered just above the orange pelt. "Hi!" she piped up the moment she thought she would have the greatest element of suprise.

Harks flicked slighlty as he paused in his movements. He was going to star again on his path but he was started suddenly by the sound of wings and a voice. He quickly gazed upwards and stared at the flying green form. He stared at her quizzically and then returned a reply. Hallo. I didn't expect to see anyone else in this swamp. I'm Vasuman He said warmly. He flicked his harks lightly and he smiled at her.

The little rishlan flipped upside down then rightside up again, flitting around him in dizzying circles, the sparkly dust on her wings sprinkling him liberally. Finally, she paused to hover in front of his face, a cheerful (if slightly crazy) grin on her face, the skull marking on her chest staring at him. "I like it here... I don't mind the smell." She chirped, flipping a somersault in the air. "You should be careful, though... the ground is dangerous here." Suddenly remembering her manners, she added, "I'm Absynthe. It's nice to meet you, Vasuman. Can I call you Vas? You can call me Abby if I can call you Vas..." Despite her somewhat hyperactive mile-a-minute way of speaking, there was a certain charming quality to her that make it endearing rather than irritating.

Harks flicked slighlty as he watched her with her enthusiasim. She was a lively one, and she was fun to hang around with. He listened to her as she told him to be careful were it was he shouldn't step and he looked at the ground carefully. He coudl easily burn it, after all, his name, vasuman meant born of fire, and he could easily make as well as control fire. But he didn't want to do that. NO one besides his twin sister Nirvelli Knew about his power, and Nirvelli, her name meaning water child, she had the ability to control and make water just as he had the power over fire. However, the two of them kept that a secret, not that they didn't mind if anyone knew, others just had a habit of making a big deal out of it. Nice to meet you abby. You can call me vas. Also, do you want to meet my sister sometime? Just tell me when and I'll take you to meet her. His sister loved company just as much as he did and it would be nice for her to meet some others. She really didn't get out much, being the person she was and he would like the two to meet.

Abby giggled again, delighted at the invitation. She flitted around and perched on Vas' back, much like a cat sitting on a horse. Making herself comfortable, she smiled. "Sure! Lets go!"

He chuckled as he sat upon her back and then stated that she would love to go. Alrighty then. Let's go see Nirvelli He began to walk towards the exit of the swamp and knew that his sister wasn't to far away and he flicked his harks slightly as he scented the air carefully. The exited the swamp and he looked back towards her before speaking. How are you enjoying the ride?

bounce bounce bounce... Abby grinned. "It's almost as much fun as flying!" She laughed, swishing her tail and leaving a trail of green sparkles in their wake.

He laughed at her and they came to a hill and he paused for a moment and let out a short highpitched bark. He stood there for a moment his gaze shifting about the area and he then caught site of whom it was he had called for.
Nirvelli pranced towards the sound of her brothers call and she wondered where it was he had gone. He had just taken off on her and left her all alone. How nice of him She came within seeing site of him and she noticed that he had someone, or something upon his back. She cocked her head slightly and she came about 4 feet from the two of them and smiled at her brother and then looked at the abby. Hello. I'm Nirvelli. You are? She was slightly curious as to why her brother had her on his back.

Abby giggled and flitted towards Nirvelli until the two were nose to nose. Then she sneezed, blowing herself backwards through the air. Once she was righted again, she blinked and grinned. "Absynthe is my name!"
