Co-wrote the song 'Mr. Brightside' with Brandon Flowers shortly after they started the Killers together.
Is originally from Pella, Iowa.
Just like fellow band member Mark Stoermer, he is of Dutch descent.
Was "accidentally" left at Stonehenge on the Killers' way to the Glastonbury festival (2005).
Moved to Las Vegas in 2000, making him the only member of the Killers not a native of the area.
Used to work at Banana Republic.
Former stage name was "Tavian Go".
Loves "Lost" and "Star Wars".
Has a son named Kyler (born September 2005).
His ad in the newspaper that caught Brandon Flowers' attention said: Bass, electronic drums, keys, strings. Ages 18-33 pref. Influences: Radiohead, Bjork, Beatles, Foo Fighters.
Played guitar for a Christian rock band called "Pickle".
Attended and graduated from Pella Community High School.
As a teenager, he was an avid fan of AC/DC and Aerosmith. Eventually, he also got into U2.
Once worked at a shoe store but lost his job after 9/11.
One of his primary guitars is a rare Fender Starcaster, an alternate spin on Gibson's semi-hollow ES-335 introduced in the '70s but retired by the '80s due to its general unpopularity. Having had it shipped specially from Japan, Keuning first began using it during the production of the Killers' second album.
Began playing the guitar at age 15.
