Step, paw. Step, paw. The purple helix swayed to the music of her own beat, her paws gracefully carrying her as she began to dance to her own vibe. She had found herself a clearing admist the neutral lands, partially sheltered within a small thicket of trees and shrubs.
So she had lightly padded to the center of the clearing. It began with a sway, occasionally taking a step here and there. Before long, it grew into a full, graceful dance. Hyacinth felt compelled to dance--it was as natural to her as breathing.
Blades of grass occasionally flew up with the velocity of her landing, her claws scratching them from the earth from which they grew accidentilly. The severed blades were stirred up off the ground along with leaves, by flicks of her tail. The wind caressed her fur, giving her the courage to continue her playful display. A smile had appeared on her face, as she became absorbed within her mid-summer dance.
After all, dance like no one is watching.

Dance like no one was watching.
Thats what the femme seemed to be doing alone and he felt as if he were intruding on the display meant for no ones eyes. But he was transfixed upon the graceful movements, and Taronja's eyes grew wide as the dance continued into more complicated steps. He stared at his own dark paws, wondering if he too could do something like that, make music out of air like she was.
His own body began to sway, and the snapping of twigs made him stop abruptly, adrenaline rushing through his veins as he realized the noise he was making. She would surely hear him, and the dance would be over. He flushed at being caught in such a way, spying on someone he had never met before.

The snapping of twigs echoed in the dancer's ears. So she wasn't alone, after all? Slowly, her steps slowed as her tempo decreased. With a final step, her dance had finished. Light violet eyes blinked curiously, scanning the edge of her "dance floor" until they landed upon a dark male. Had he been watching her? A small dusting of a flush decorated her face, though was lost in the violet colors.
Slowly, the lithe female took a step closer. "Hello..?" She called out lightly to him. Hyacinth smiled lightly, as her tail flicked across the ground.

Taronja shut his eyes, willing the femme to overlook his dark form in the trees. After a moment a faint "Hello?" echoed in his brain and he knew he had been caught. Opening his eyes again, he saw the femme looking at him and he sighed to himself, silently berating his stupidity.
He came form the bushes into the clearing, orange and yellow dashed across his pelt of darker yellow to black. He cleared his throat quickly, and said "Hello. I'm sorry to be spying on you."

Hyacinth watched as he stepped forward, taking in this male's appearence. His pelt was... intereswting, to say the least. He seemed like the embodiment of the fire element itself. She smiled lightly at that thought; he was unique.
She flushed once more. So, he had been spying on her. Slowly, the violet helix smiled, and shrugged. "It's okay.." Hyacinth padded closer, to inspect the new stranger. "My name's Hyacinth. Who might you be?"

She was shades of purple, and he noticed the stripes of darker purple over lavender undercoat with interest. -What coloring!- He thought, eyeing her carefully so as not to make her uncomfortable -I've never seen such before...-
"My name is Taronja." He said, accent flittering over the syllables effortlessly, smiling sweetly at her."It is a pleasure to meet you." He shifted his weight between his front paws, and he said "You dance beautifully."
((Btw, when I said accent, think of accents associated with Spain. Thats where I got his name))

"A pleasure to meet you, too.." His accent... Even it was unique! She flushed at the silky lilts of his voice, finding herself entranced. It was so unique to her ears... beautiful even. She was snapped out of her daze by his compliment, which made her smile.
"Thank you," Hyacinth tucked one paw in, balancing on the other as she made a small bow as a blush crept upon her face. "But I'm just expressing my feelings." She stood upright, smiling lightly.

"A fair way to express feelings." He said, laughing "A most unique way. Tell me, did you learn that from somewhere, or was the ability from birth? I cannot dance that way, even if I tried, which I did. You heard the racket I made." He grinned in self-amusement.
She was pretty, and the bow made her seem more lady-like than any he had met before.
Granted, this list was rather limited at four others and a goddess, but it was still saying something.

"Thank you." Hyacinth smiled lightly in response. "It's natural. No one taught me." Her ear flicked slightly, as she wondered if she heard that right. The smile she wore faultered, but she prevailed. "Surely you can dance." She pawed closer, her tail swaying as she walked. "You just need someone to guide you in the right direction. It's about expressing yourself, not talent." A flush creeped on her face once more at her wordiness.

He flicked his fiery tail once, then twice, and said "Well then, would you teach me? I would love nothing more than to learn a new skill from one so talented." He sat quietly, tail wrapping around his paws carefully. His travelling had taken him far, but he had never seen such movements before. Perhaps this could be useful to know...maybe even help him with a task that itched in the back of his mind.
He shook his head quickly, ridding the clouding thoughts from his brain as he turned his attention back to Hyacinth. "What do I need to do first?"

Hyacinth smiled as she retreated back to the center, turning to face her 'student'. "I can teach you what I'm able to." Who knows, she might have a dance partner for a moment if this went well. She closed her eyes, inhaling deeply before looking back at Taronja. "First, you need to find a rhythm inside you."
Slowly, she started to sway her shoulders and hips, but kept her paws rooted firmly to the ground. "Everyone has an inner rhythm, but some just need to look harder then others." She spoke softly as her head began to sway, a small smile working it's way onto her face.

Taronja watched her with interest, the swaying strangely contagious. his weight starting she shift to one paw slowly. He closed his eyes and exhaled, weight moving the the right a little quicker. "The rhythm?" He opened his eyes and watched her, swaying in time with her.

Hyacinth seemed delighted that he started to follow her lead, smiling to herself. ""The rhythm, yes. It's all around us, and gives us life." She took a long, steady breath. "From the tempo of our hearts, to the beat of our paws."
She lifted a paw, occasionally stepping in the sway until she had sashayed a few steps forward. "It's best to start with little steps--adding a paw step here," she took another step to the side, her body swaying behind the movement smoothly. "a sway there. And any combination in between..."

This was a lot easier than he anticipated. He tried taking a step forward, and swayed, then another. "If rhythm gives us life, then why I am only realizing this now? Shouldn't it be more apparent in every day living?" He faltered in his step as he said this, and he had to start over, breathing rhythmically to get the tempo back.

Her swaying slowed slightly, her eyes half closed. She swayed to and fro--turning and letting her paws land where they might. "It's just like the Gods and Goddess' influence," A small smile appeared on her face. She was enjoying this lesson. "while some realize it is there, as some do not; it still remains, ever present."
Her paw steps paused as she heard him falter, smiling and nodding slightly as he started over. He was taking this seriously. And that small fact made her much more happy.
