Alright, so I've noticed this rather odd, fairly frustrating trend of RL males playing IC females and RL females playing IC males. Come on, guys. Can you make my job any harder? How am I supposed to know what to list you as?
So I'd just like your input on this; what do you think the best way to list these types of people as is?

That really is a hard one... I think maybe it'd be best to put them as what they identify as on their OOC section. If they feel strongly about it, they can change it to something more gender neutral..

I think some people really just do it for the lulz, or basically because they can.. For whatever reason, people seem to think "yaoi" and "yuri" are hot. Which is pretty ridiculous; it's not any more or less hot than heterosexual relations. But that's a rant for another day. As I said, a lot of the time I don't think the character represents much about the player.

I just put them by their OOC gender..
I wouldn't say that they do it for the lulz, or just because it gets their rocks off.
I just think they do it because they want to. In my opinion, I think listing them as their out of character gender is more important than their in character gender.

I think you should list them as their OOC gender and they can clarify what they roleplay as when they roleplay and/or post a profile for their characters. *nodnod*

I agree with listing them as what they are OOC. If they have any real problem,s then can always message you and offer some other suggestion.

Mm, even though I've only had a few responses, I think you guys have raised some valid points; plus not everyone is here for RP, so listing by IC age wouldn't exactly work. I'll lock the thread now.
