I'm going to be living in a very small, shared space in the fall. I will not be allowed to use candles or incense.. ahh I <3 my candles and incense. Is anyone experiencing this? Anyone have any tips?

No, I'm sorry to say I can't empathize with that. I do sympathize though. That must make it rough. Might I suggest learning crystals? They are easier to hide as a hobbie to anyone that might ask questions (if you planing on hiding it). I would take this oppertunity to learn something new. It is said that the universe provides. Maybe it's providing you a chance to expand your horizons. Take it. I would.

You could also try using essential oils or an electric oil warmer if it's the scents you need, and not so much the flames. The oils can be worn, dabbed onto cloth, added to the warmer, etc. smile

Or you can start experimenting with herb magic and food offerings. Kitchen magic works nicely and you can eat or drink your magic! ^^ Of course, you may not have access to a kitchen, huh?

That way she isn't in trouble for having the actual candle. If you use soy candles then they wont stain the walls and you can actually use the wax to soften your hands. Rub it on like a lotion."

What about creative magic? Do they allow sewing matterials? There is this lady that lives in my apt complex, she does that. Something about meditating while creating... Not really sure, but I can ask her more questions if you want.

I know quite a bit about crystals... I'll just have to go about purchasing them.. And I use candles for magick as well as just to enjoy them... And kitchen magick is a good idea, but, i will not have access to a kitchen... I was thinking about learning knot magick? And i'm definitely bringing my tarot cards!!!
I'm skeptical about bringing my herbs... wouldn't want them to be mistaken for anything else by your common nimrod... What do you guys think?

Unless it's Oregano, I don't think you'll have much of a problem. ^^ You could always tell her it's for the smell. Or if you bring live plants, just tell her it relaxes you to take care of them.
