"Kaaaede look!" Ayoshi said with glee, tugging at the older man's hand as he led him through the streets, pointing to stalls he found interesting, people he found unusual and simply just having a good time. Kaede was happy to oblige the young boy, having been cooped up in the house for a couple of days now.
"Yes, it's very interesting, Ayoshi." He commented, chuckling when Ayoshi broke away to go look at a toy stall. He slowly walked over and purchased a white ball with blue stars. He tucked his wallet back in his obi and stood back, watching Ayoshi run down the now semi-deserted streets, bouncing the ball in glee. It was easy to be fond of him, he was easily starting to be like Kaede's younger brother already.
"Ayoshi, don't go too far.." Kaede called, jogging off after the child, trying to keep up with him and make sure he didn't lose sight of him. It was nice just to have a stress free day.

She counted the money in her pouch again. Dammit. She knew she should have gone and bothered Makoto instead of buying food for herself. Nami looked up at the stand - particularly at the kite. She wanted to play with it, darn it! Badly, at that. Well, she'd never admit to that, in fear of being called childish - not that she isn't, really.
And that was when she felt something hit her foot. Blinking, she looked down, spotting a white ball with blue stars stopping right next to her. Picking it up, she mumbled something about wondering whose it was, before raising it to her eyes. "Ahh this looks cute~" She didn't even wonder whose it was - that is, until a boy ran towards her.
It wasn't, however, the boy who claimed it was his that caught her attention. It was who was following him.
Pointing at him, she said, surprise clear in her voice, "Ahh it's you, it's you!" She paused, trying to remember his name. She was sure it started with a K. "Oh, right, Kaede!" she spoke, eyes practically twinkling. She knew how to get that kite now.

"Aaah...!" Ayoshi cried when the ball rolled ahead of him and hit a blonde girl's foot. Oh no! He rushed over, not even making sure he was close to Kaede anymore. "I'm sorry..! that's mine." He explained, he held his hands out for her to give his ball back, looking pleading, just in case she would keep it. He didn't know what she would do, she was a stranger. That was, until she said Kaede's name.
"N--Nami, hello." Kaede greeted as he walked over to the two, looking genuinely surprised at seeing her there. But oh jeeze, she had her eyes on his wallet already. Her parents or boyfriend or whoever looked after her must have had a huge wallet. At least she wasn't calling him 'bank' anymore. "What are you doing here, Nami? Shopping?" He asked, arching an eyebrow.
Ayoshi spun around and faced Kaede with an impish grin, which meant trouble for Kaede. The cogs in his head were turning in the completely wrong direction "Kaede! Is this your girlfriend?" He asked with a laugh. Poking at Kaede's arm.
"No she isn't, Ayoshi!"

She heard a cry not far from her, looking up to see a young boy. She blinked before looking down at his outstretched hand. Oh. It was his. Darn it. She should have just ran off and give it to Akemi or something. Walking over towards him, she looked the younger boy up and down before dropping the ball she was holding into his hands. "So, are you Kaede's kid or something?" she asked, looking up behind him upon hearing the older man's voice.
"Oiii, Kaede-banku!" she said, waving at him. Oh, she was so doing that to piss him off. After all, she felt it weird to not have an honorific after his name ... even though technically, '-banku' wasn't an honorific. At all. Not even close to it. She crossed her arms and, with a smug smile, said, "I actually have money now." She said that as if it was the most important thing in the world. In her eyes it was. She looked back up at him, scowl on her face. "Don't have enough money for a kite though ..." she started, her eyes trailing from her wallet and up at his face and ... back to the wallet and back to his face, hope clearly drawn on her face. She didn't bother to hide it. Shameless, she definitely was.
At the child's question, her eyes widened. "Ehhhh?! There's no way I'll be with that guy!" she shouted just after Kaede retorted. Nami's voice was practically littered with disgust at the question, as if it were the most horrible thing in the world. In her eyes, it was one of the most horrible things in the world.
Looking back at the kid, she walked over to him, hands on her hips. "Ahh so your name's Ayoshi?" she started, before a smirk crossed her lips, taking the boy by the hand and pulling him towards the stall she was just in front of not too long ago. "See those? Kites! Really nice kites! Don't you want to let Kaede-banku buy some?~" It was at times like those that Nami used her honeysweet voice.

Ayoshi grinned when he had his ball back, holding it above his head in triumph. Yes! His ball! he lowered it and gripped it to his chest, blinking at Nami's question. "Eh? No! Kaede is like a brother!" He explained, looking utterly surprised at that question. He'd never been asked that, but then he and Kaede generally didn't wander far from home, so most people knew who they were. Kaede had just drawn up to them when Nami called him something utterly amusing. Why was it amusing? Because Kaede now looked slightly annoyed.
"Kaede-banku!" He called cheerfully, laughing when the elder male ruffled his blonde hair in retaliation. "Don't you start this bank business either, Ayo." He murmured, rolling his eyes at Nami."Nami-baka, I'm surprised you have your own money." He murmured. She seemed to being buying things as well, with her own money! He was completely intrigued. Though that last sentence...ugh...she wasn't was she?
"But, Nami-baka and Kaede-banku sound perfect next to each other!" Ayoshi said cheekily, grinning at Nami. Ooooh, she didn't like Kaede much or...it was just a need to not get on between them. Ayoshi found it amusing. He cocked his head to the side when she went all nicey-nice and led him over to the stall. Oh, a kite?
"Kaede-banku. I want a kite." It was as simple as that.
"I just got you a ball, Ayoshi. Why are you letting Nami-baka manipulate you?" Kaede asked irritably, hands on hips as he walked over to stand next to them, looking displeased.

Nami-b-baka? That b*****d! If he was going to add something to her name it should have been '-sama' or '-dono' or '-danna'! She would have been so happy; well her ego would have.
"Of course I have money now!" shouted Nami, flailing her arms in the air before proceeding to cross her arms in front of her and looking up at him with a pout on her face. "Shuudou-jiisan gives me some. And if you're going to call me something, it should be uh ..." What was she thinking again? Oh well. Uncrossing her arms, she pointed to him accusingly, shouting, "Bocchama! I order you to call me bocchama!" Her ego seriously needs to be toned down - like her voice.
After showing him the stall, Ayoshi immediately turned to Kaede, saying he wanted a kite. Nami: 1, Kaede: 0.
Smirk on her face, she turned to Kaede once again and said, "See that? He said to buy him a kite! You're not going to disregard what he wants, ne, Kaede-banku?~"
Dammit, buy that kite, Kaede-banku!

Kaede smiled a little at her shouting at him. She was so annoying, but was so amusing all in one. It was like nails down a chalkboard crossed with being able to not do work in class. Or something. Ayoshi had moved to cling to one of his kimono sleeves, tipping his weight to the heel of his foot and back to his toes, rocking a little in his slight boredom over the adults talking. "Bocchama?" Kaede repeated, looking surprised, then thought. Then, he grinned. "When pigs fly." Was his reply, by means of going 'hell no, Nami-baka'. She'd always be a '-baka' now, it had stuck. Kaede: 1, Nami: 1.
Dammit! Ayoshi wasn't on his side at all, was he? He stared down at the other, who was pointing to a red kite with a simplistic sail boat painted on it as the design. "That one, Kaede-banku! Go, go!" He said, staring at the other, still pointing stubbornly at the kite. HPeering at the kite with pursed lips, trying to decide on what was better. Nami getting her own way or the probability of Ayoshi throwing a tantrum. The other was prone to them at points.
"...Fine." Kaede wandered over to the stall and purchased the kite, walking back a few minutes later holding it. "But...Nami-baka must prove she is worthy of having a turn before we let her play with it as well." He grinned at her again, since Ayoshi was nodding in agreement, amused by this sudden change in temperment for Kaede. He was...being playful.

Nami brows furrowed in annoyance. He wasn't following what she ordered him to do! The b*****d! And pigs don't fly! They never do! That was so unfair ... maybe she should find some pigs and make them fly. Then she'll have her 'bocchama' treatment! Ahhh, just imagining it made her feel so awesome. Nami was so narcissistic.
"Yeah, Kaede-banku! Go!" she chanted along with Ayoshi, raising her arms up and practically on her toes. When Kaede gave in, she stood up properly with her arm close to her, bouncing up and down in excitement, eyes wide and practically sparkling. She was getting a kite! Well, actually, Ayoshi was but she was going to get that from him later. Really, she was so inconsiderate, especially considering the person she's planning to get something from was a child. How low can one get?
When Kaede mentioned she must prove to be worthy, her jaw dropped, stopping her bouncing altogether. What was he thinking? She was perfectly worthy! "What do you mean worthy?! Of course I'm worthy!" she shouted, practically ready to throw something at him. After a while, she calmed down, though - or at least, as calm as she can be. "What do I have to do then?" she muttered, brows still furrowed, annoyance still in her tone.

Ayoshi was still looking decidedly amused as he stood between Kaede and Nami, swivelling his head left to right slowly as he listened to their exchange. They were like that old couple that lived next door! They always argued as well. He held the star-spangled ball still, though it was all but forgotten as a sudden thought struck him, something the couple down the road were always on about. "Happy Wedding, Banku and Baka~" He chimed in a singsong, looking decidedly amused at this new thing he could fluster them with. It made them ten times more argumentative and silly!
Kaede ignored Ayoshi for the most part, though his eyebrow twitched and his hand tightened around the thin sticks of wood acting as the kite frame, dangerous close to snapping them. "Ayoshi, please." He murmured, thinking.
It would have to be something Nami would find positively dastardly. Hmm. He looked thoughtful, before an idea hit him. "You have to give the money you have on you to someone less fortunate then yourself. Right now. Where I can see." That was her quest, so she could become worthy. It was a brilliant idea. It really was.

"Happy Wedding, Banku and Baka~"
She snapped her head to look at the kid. That - that ... That idea was beyond stupid! Her eye twitched, her face red before she said, "OI! There's absolutely no way I'm marrying him!" At the word 'him', she quickly pointed to Kaede. She turned her head at him, only for her annoyance to quickly revert to worry, seeing his grip tightening around the kite's wooden frame. He was going to break it!
"Oi, Kaede-banku!" she shouted, stomping her feet towards his direction and snatching the kite from his hands. "What are you thinking?! It's not like it's yours!" It wasn't his, it was hers! Hers, for crying out loud! He had absolutely no right to break it ... despite his money being used and all.
At his condition, however, her jaw dropped. She took out her pouch of money and looked up at him ... then back to her pouch. He was setting an incredibly horrible condition for her. Parting with her money? No way! There was no way!
"No way! I'm less fortunate! I really am! I live in a house with an idiot!" she shouted, clutching her pouch to her chest and shaking her head from side to side in refusal. There was no way she was parting with her money.

Oooh! They were getting annoyed! Fits of giggles escaped his mouth so he pressed both hands over it, eyes still shining with mirth as he flicked his gaze from Kaede to Nami, who had just had her outburst over his choice of words. "But Kaede would make a good dannasama for you!" Ayoshi chimed, having removed his hands from his mouth to grin widely at Nami. She was so fun and Kaede was looking like he was going to take Nami's side. "You argue! Like an old couple!" Which they did in Ayoshi's view. They really did.
Nami storming over to him was what caused Kaede to stop tensing his hand and he lifted the kite out of her reach, though before he could do that fully she had snatched it away, so he quickly snatched it back with a decidedly unimpressed look. "Fine. Give a little of your money away. Not all of it." He peered around, then pointed to a man sat in a nearby alleyway. "To him." He said, pointing to the man in the alleyway.
He was right, she did find it utterly dastardly, nigh on impossible in fact. "You should get on well then." He muttered quietly with a roll of his eyes, an amused smile lifting across his lips. She had to do it or no kite flying for her. "You need to do it Obaa-baka or you can't have a go on my kite."

"Shut up!" she shouted at Ayoshi, flailing her arms in the air. "Kaede-banku will make a horrible danna-sama! And I'm not old!" That was an insult! She didn't even look the least bit old and Nami definitely prided herself on that. She was a child - no, a teenager! Yes, that's right. She would be around fourteen-years-old, after all.
"Fine. Give a little of your money away. Not all of it."
The thought of giving away money still, however small, did not please Nami. Oh, not at all, it didn't. She looked at the man Kaede pointed at, a man sitting in an alleyway. Well, it wasn't like he needed to eat! He'd probably just use her money to buy alcohol or something. Her eyes moved to the kite Kaede held. She wanted to play with the kite! Badly, at that. Sucking in her courage - and her pride - she left with a glare directed at Kaede, pouch clutched close to her chest as she neared the man. She only needed one step to be noticed before ...
"I can't do it! It's my money!" she shouted, rushing back to Kaede and clutching at his kimono, her face red, "It's my kite! Give me my kite, Kaede-banku!"

Ayoshi looked a little startled when Nami shouted, though it quickly melted into an amused look when she flailed her arms. "You're an old and wrinkled obaa-bakasan!" He commented, poking his tongue out and pulling his eyelids down for a more stupid facial expression. He was just having fun teasing, he didn't mean to be intentionally insulting.
Kaede was keeping an eye on Ayoshi, the kite still held in one hand as he observed Nami's reaction to his request. He looked completely startled when she moved, though he smiled a little at the glare. Aaaah, there was the Nami he knew and yep...there she was again, rushing back still with all her money on her. He held the kite back and stared down at her when she gripped his kimono.
"It's not your kite, Nami-baka." Kaede commented quietly, though she did look rathe endearing all annoyed over not getting her way. He handed the kite to Ayoshi and sighed. "A leopard can't change it's spots after all...go with Ayoshi to play with the kite, I'll get us some food." He murmured, carefully disentangling her hands from his kimono.
