A'right, first of all, sorry for my longass hiatus. I can explain it. Basically, just after the whole time travel thing, posts started coming WAY to fast for me to keep up and I got lost. Then, I had a brief stint where I couldn't post and...I am now completely lost. Thing is, even with an update, I doubt I could jump back in.
I was talking with Timber the other day and explained to him some of my concerns about OU. The big thing, is that it really got away from what we started as. The second thing, and I am going to be blunt, so if you are offended, I apologize - the pissing contests between Prime's characters and Timber's were getting on my nerves. I already mentioned this to Timber, but I Apologize again if it stings. And Prime, while not a bad RPer, seems to dislike losing to the point where things start to get ridiculous. Having uber tough villains to face, while a good thing, can be taken to extremes. Prime seemed incapable of permanent defeat, there were androids that could self-repair and stealth and see things, full of more weapons than a freaking battleship...
To me, it was getting annoying. Having a villain you have to work hard to defeat is one thing - it's excellent, allows for hardship and character development. Having a villain that is impossible to beat, that's just obnoxious. And, no offense again, but sticking your soul in a hamster? Come on. Isn't your conciousness linked to your soul? So, wouldn;t Prime be stuck in a hyperactive ADD hampster for the rest of said rodent's life? >.<
At any rate, after 5 years of convolutedness, we weret hinking of doing an OU reset. All of these threads would be placed in a viewable subforum, because we may keep some things. Not sure how we will work this reset. Also, in my personal opinion, the whole Chronicles of Riddick stuff should be left out of our new run. Again, no offense to Prime, I enjoyed the movies and such, but the OP godmodding was getting to ridiculous proportions. And we need to try and keep things from turning into a giant clusterfeck, if possible. Convoluted RPs are one reason a few of us got freaking lost. Or maybe it was just me. >.<
Anyway, comments, questions, concerns, rants, etc.? I'm making a new discussion thread for this, to try and not clog up the main OOC.

Two comments:
convoluted/confusing/unable to get back in RP == yes
pissing contest == uber annoying
Explanation:
I wasn't here from the beginning. I know this. So if I'm off on something, sorry.
Merc said the RP got away from what it started as. I can honestly say that there's been quite a bit of change just from where I sort of got dropped into things. I'm totally lost. Timber tried to catch me up, but I'm still completely confused as to where any of my girls would fit into the current state of the RP. I don't know if I could ever manage to bring myself back in. Hell, just trying to read over what's new I'm not sure if a new person could find a way in. It seems to have sort of closed itself up a bit. Doesn't look like anybody did it on purpose, but it just seems to have happened. A reset would be a great way to let everyone figure out how to keep themselves involved, since it looks like some people are a little lost even if they're active. It would also be a good way to let people coming back from long absences *cough*me*cough* get going again it would let us become active posters again.
As for the thing between Prime's evil dudes and Timber's not so evil dudes. Prime, I like to think I'm your friend, but I'm gonna be honest. It's annoying. Godmodding, unkillables, making stories for other peoples' characters (ex.: the Gin vs. Vega thing or the Jin + Yang thing), etc. It's annoying, and the constant battle between who has the bigger "gun" between Prime (the character) and Ginjo (also character) is just as bad.
So, summary: response to reset == yes please

I'd like to point out that the last time I was in a guild that did a reset.. actually i think there were two.. things just didn't happen. It died down and yeah. I've been in this guild for like since I started on Gaiaonline and put alot of time into this roleplay. Though I do agree that some things have gone a bit loopy and kinda hard to get people back into things. With no hard feelings or not picking it wasn't intentional I believe, some people went poof so others had to work around that. I mean like two or so pages were characters trying to communicate to the characters belonging to those that did go poof. sweatdrop
Eh... I'm not gonna voice my opinion about the "Who has the biggest gun contest" between our Guild Captain and residential bad guy for fear of someone not being able to take criticism that well. sweatdrop
I'm just worried that if we do a reset the guild will die. I'd really hate to see so many years go to waste. However if it lives and becomes much stronger than it has been then I am so for that.. mrgreen

I understand with people coming back and many leaving and never coming back to restart the guild
True the whole manly thing about who has the bigger gun just got out of control.
I do admit then i came to this guild then disappeared then came back then gone again for a little bit and now i'm back again. I figured how to get back both times.
Starting over, alot has happened and it just seems a waste to totally start over.I agree that we need to get back on track and stop saying "My guns bigger then your gun" scenerio
But how about instead of starting over we rewind back to when everyone thats here was roleplaying. Like around the time we just went back into time to get that special plant for Mira's character because she was sick...

I thought the two year skip was just after Ginjo beat the living daylights out of Prime and everyone thought he was dead.
Then there was the thing with the giant cannon ship.
Then there was some stuff near Earth, I think.
And somewhere after that Zeny had to blow up a star to save our rear ends and it sent us back in time.
Beyond that, I got lost. I was off for a week right about then, and when I came back I was lost. I tried to send the girls down the planet with Mira, since they didn't have much else to do, but my post never really got a reply. So I got totally lost. Then I came back after a hiatus, and we were in present time again and Prime was marrying an amnesiac Mira. I mean Blyss. Something like that. >.<

@.@ im so confused i guess i thought i knew what was going on but hearing from everyone else i think im even more lost then those that were lost to begin with @.@ :faints:

Okay couple of things;
1. Hae I value your input and your not going to hurt my feelings with your honesty. (the pissing contests got old for me too, but it seemed like the only way to continue the rp)
2. It seems as though a full reset may not be to some peoples liking, perhaps we could do a reset to two years after prime was defeated? its possible that we could all decide to play different characters in the same setting? characters who will never meet prime or the others and thus a whole new rp built on the old one.
3. I really want to get this guild going and even if we only do a partial reset i am going to archive the old rp so that new people don't think they have 9 million posts to read.

AND I'll probably get shot for this but it bugs me a bit that Merc you posted this discussion but haven't been around since.. just love to know that you are active so I feel that this wasn't for nawt.. sweatdrop I STILL heart YOU!!
I kinda wish that Prime would also post his two cents on this as well..

Merc's computer is currently unplugged as he is switching rooms with the other couple in this house. mrgreen So he won't be on for a while. I'll try and get him to use my compy for a bit tomorrow so he can look at what's going on.

Okay, sorry for lack of posting! sweatdrop As it stands, I've been helping with renovations on the room that was previously mine. The room I am currently in is in disarray, and the comp I was using is currently sort of in limbo - nowhere to put it. whee I'll do my best to purloin other machines to post.As for the starting new characters, I'm with Hae - I put a lot of work into the guys I have and to just dump them to make a new crew would be difficult at best and writer's-block-inducing at worst. I HAD a deent suggestion in mind, but the last couple of days have left me more than a bit tired. I'll gather my thoughts and post the idea ASAP.I'm no' dead yet! sweatdrop
