Appearance: Talia is short for her age, only 5'2" and long dark brown hair, usually tied back with a cloth of some kind. She's average weight and slightly curvy with an easy smile and bright brown eyes.
She prefers to wear loose, light clothes, especially skirts. Usually, she'll wear simply colors like brown, tan or just white. She likes to wear jewelry of all kinds, rings, necklaces, bracelets and people can usually hear her coming before they see her because of the sound of the jewelry clinking together.
Her skin is usually tanned from being outside, searching for herbs and other things useful to healing. While not muscled, she's in shape. Sometimes, she can be seen without shoes because she prefers to go barefoot when she can.
Personality: Open, warm and friendly, Talia loves meeting new people and taking care of others. She is easily affectionate and friendly to strangers and anyone else who comes her way. The friends she has, she's loyal too but willing to scold them if she thinks they stepped out of line. She's very mothering.
However, she can be quite stubborn when it comes to what she believes is right or wrong and will stand up for herself in a debate. Often, she can be too stubborn, refusing to see she's wrong until the last possible moment when she has no other argument at hand. She likes to be in charge, but can curb the desire when someone who outranks her is giving the orders.
She listens well and thinks before speaking. She tries to solve arguments but can get dragged into them too. She's respectful of her elders and caring towards those who are younger than her.
History: Talia was born at Telgar Hold to her parents who were both Healers. She had an uneventful and happy childhood, growing up with a sense of security and happiness. Though her parents could often be busy with their duties as Healers, she rarely felt ignored and when she did, she was happy to go off on her own and explore the Hold and outside it.
When she was 13 she started training with her parents to be a Healer. Around this time, a Gather came to the Hold and her parents bought two firelizard eggs. Talia ended up Bonding with both as her parents were called away when the eggs hatched. Because the bronze was so protective of her he was named Shield and the brown was so curious he was named Spyglass. The two go everywhere with Talia.
She loved the Healing craft and taking care of people so learned quickly and studied hard. Her goal was to become a Masterhealer but one day at the Hold a Search rider came and picked Talia to stand for a hatching. After talking it over with her parents, she decided that this was a good thing for her and went to the Weyr.
Now at the Weyr, she hopes to Impress and is very excited to have been chosen. If she doesn't, she plans to stay and learn more about the art of dragonhealing.
