Has eanyone ever battled a dark eldar force i have one myself and was thinking that its kind of rare that people collect this army so if anyone had battled them tell me how it went and what weekneses you have found (not so i can make my army invincible muahaha)

Well, I never fought one yet. I hope to, it will just be really annoying with their many 2ap weapons.(Also this belongs in the Dark Eldar tactica forum sweatdrop )
The Eldar Army section is like painting, fluff, stories, ect.

My plays dark Eldar, and I have an extreme hatred from them, although I can play and discuss without this bais effecting my discussion. [/end offtopicness]
I hope to face one army in the future but from what I hear they are a very agile and swift race, so try to use obtacles and keep your distance from them. domokun

Sounds like a plan, so anyone got any good battle stories against the Dark Eldar?
That seems to be on topic. I love to here funny stories about games you played and usually Eldar and Dark Eldar are the best.

I have faced a Dark Eldar force...Lelith Hesperax was not a fun Character to face...That was one army I fought and won. Horrible end for both of us...the casualty count was horrific...Vehicle debries was every where...It was such a sick battle...ugh...It hurts to think about. With the number of Incubu with Assault Weapon and Grotesque guys I fought I was preety upset. Mind you I did win...Barely...If I had lost just another 250 points or so it would have been declared a tie and I would have placed a little lower in that tournament. (Personally I was upset that they let him use a Character in his army! I asked If I could use Typhus and they said use a regular HQ if you have it...grr...)
Another account that I've had with these tortures demons was a little quick game I had (1000 points). This guy mainly used Jetbikes and Hellions. It was fun to blow those up...he was a fool...easy game...

i have a story playing with dark eldar against tyranids my 2 raider squads where doing drive byes on the genestealers wipeing most of them out then my lord and his incubi came along on there raider disembarked layed down the webway portal and buy the next turn witches and my lord where ripping apart all the little units by that time my mandrakes where in combat with a carnifex whilst the hellions where fliying in and my ravager and talos had alreadydelt with the hive tyrant, the only problm i had was with those warriors and zonathropes(dont know if i have spelled that correct)
tho in the end i won i lost all but my lord 2 incubi the ravager and 1 raider squad

I wish to play either and Eldar, or a Dark Eldar force. Both of them, and the witch hunters, are the only armies that I haven't played against or gotten a grasp on thier fighting styles and strategies to beat them.
Luckily, DarkEldar seem to have slightly less AP weapons compared to the Eldar, but still enough to possibly be of annoyance. stare

Im not surew iff this is right, but i heard that thier weapons have a slightly lless rang then thier eldar conterpart. is this true?

I know that they have alot less weapons than the Eldar, The Dark Eldar don't seem to be as shooty, non-shooty is good, but I'm not sure about the actual range of the weapons. I know that the Eldar weapons range quite far, and have great AP scores, but the Dark Eldar don't seem to have anything really going for them?
I don't know.

I'm not so sure about that...
They seem to have less vehicles than the Eldar, just more vehicle upgrades. Although must of thier upgrades are pretty stupid...like the screamer box, the dead trophy one, and the chains one, all shouldn't have any effect on Space Marines what-so-ever. stare

I like how the Dark Eldar are twisted beings wrapped around torture and murdering people for pleasure...If I could make them an ally for Chaos and use them in the same force, I would in a second! They are a fun army, like all other, but I just love their history.

They are a fun army, like all other, but I just love their history. It's not that I don't like them being twisted, all the more for me to make fun of them for...thier religion is based on fear! I'm just saying, dead bodies on a vehicle is not going to scare a space marine running him home, but for them it does. stare (they would go good with chaos though, why can't they ally?)

To be honest, you wanna shoot up the mandrakes, Incubi, and Grotesques, and the witches i guess, then charge into comat with the rest. That is the key. If you stay far away, they will rip you apart with their weapons, most of the marines killing weapons can be moved and shot with, the rest of the heavy weapons are usually on a raider or ravager. Then again, if you assault, you will end up with Incubi, a DE lord, witches, and or grotuesqes ripping you apart.
