B'ron
Name: B'ron (Buron)
Gender: male
Age: 24
Sexual Orientation: heterosexual, except in mating flights
Rank: Wingrider/Searchrider
Appearance: B'ron is a stocky young man. Much like his dragon, he was built for strength and endurance rather than speed. His chest is wide, with a thick middle and sturdy thighs. His arms, suitably muscled for a dragonman, are laced with visible veins that end at his wide, calloused hands. His entire body is well tanned. He stands about 6'3" erect.
His hair is the color of dishwater, which can sometimes turn a dark blond if he stays out in the sunlight. It is kept long enough to run fingers through, yet short enough to keep his riding helmet comfortable. His eyebrows, wild and bushy, overshadow keen hazel eyes. His lips and nose are thick, with a strong jawline to underscore them. Always cleanshaven, B'ron has no blemishes or indetifying marks on his face save for one scar about two inches long on his left cheek.
Personality: B'ron can be described with one word: warm. Unlike his foster sister, this dragonrider is extremely outgoing and jovial, striving to make everyone around him feel his genuine interest in their wellbeing. He loves to chat with others and rather enjoys communal mealtimes. Being a dragonrider has only increased his social craving, and he is often visiting other Weyrs or holds.
Sometimes described as nosy, B'ron likes to investigate rumors and learn as much as he can about individuals. His curiousity about the lives of others knows no bounds. Though he tries not to pry he often does unintentionally in his quest to get to know everyone. However, his prying and nosiness are tinged with a winning kindness and curiousity.
As a people person, he has a normal temper, and is quick to forgive if asked. He also exaggerates a bit and may be caught telling several different stories about how he received the scar on his cheek. This brownrider also has little thought for the future when taking action, as he lives mainly for the present. Thus, he may say or do something to someone without recognizing the impact of his actions.
B'ron may bring to mind the knights of old. He has a strong moral code, believing that only by doing the right thing can one achieve honor. He holds everyone to his standards of nobility, but expects more from himself than from others. He is chivalrous with women, treating them all with utmost courtesy and flattering them shamelessly. With men he is polite, though he restrains his quick to please tongue.
History: Buron is the son of a greenrider, conceived during a mating flight. He was fostered as a babe to a couple (Werek and Malana) who thought they couldn't have children. Six years later, however, his foster parents had a daughter. He and their daughter, whom they called Onie, became extremely close. Enjoying a bond much like that of blood brother and sister the two were often caught shirking chores together or having their own adventures.
He worked hard as a boy and young man, but at the age of eighteen was Searched for Telgar Weyr. Though Telgar wasn't the Weyr B'ron was bound to, he gladly accepted and returned with the searchrider to the Weyr. He Impressed brown Hath. A turn after his Impression Werek died, but B'ron was unable to visit his foster family. When he did return on a visit, his Hath declared Onie a potential rider and at his dragon's request B'ron brought Onie to Telgar.
Pet(s): blue firelizard called Gar
Other: B'ron is the fosterling of Onie's parents, and the two have a close bond.
Hath
Dragon: Hath
Age: 6 turns
Color:
Appearance: Hath is your average brown dragon -- not too big, nor too small. His frame is like that of his rider's: built for strength and endurance. While he may seem stockier than other dragons of his color he is proportioned nicely, with a wide wingspan to compliment his thick neck and torso. His coloring is very subtle. The main color of his hide on a neutral brown shade, slightly lighter than normal, which darkens at his wingtips and the tip of his powerful tail. His eyeridges are also darker than the rest of his hide, giving him the illusion of humanish eyebrows.
Personality: If B'ron is the knight, Hath is certainly the loyal steed. Hath is a rather insistent dragon. Usually in a war of wills between Hath and B'ron the dragon will win, and B'ron rarely regrets following his dragon's advice. The brown is as strong willed as his rider is friendly, and keeps B'ron out of any trouble that his talking may get him into. He is stern with his rider when it is necessary, and so the typical dynamics of a human-dragon bonding are reversed, with the dragon in this case being the responsible mentor and caretaker of the human. Hath also has a humanish ability to think of the future and remember the past, something not common in his peers who live only for the present.
Hath is also a hard worker. He does not mind lending a hand -- or a foreleg, rather -- where he can be of service. He often comes up with ingenious ideas designed to put himself in the conversation or current situation, carefully inserting he and his rider seamlessly into all of the action. While not exactly cunning, Hath is smart and takes pride in being so. He is quite talkative as well, extending his friendliness to dragon and human alike. He does not discriminate and will make friends with anyone who has the strength of mind to listen to his chatter. He can be stubbornly loyal to anyone he likes. He's mischevious, as well. Hath will play with nearly anyone or anything, and is particularly fond of splashing unsuspecting people as he dives into the lake.
Hath throws his all into the two biggest aspects of a male dragon's life: threadfall and mating flights. When thread comes the brown will be eager to fight it, and take instruction from his wingleader well as long as it's for the best. He will work at fighting thread, and never complain about being scored or tired. Mating flights are something he loves, as well. He will chase greens and golds both, though he isn't big enough to catch a gold.
Hath's most beloved hobby is simply described: sleeping. When he isn't chatting up members of the Weyr or ferrying his rider about, he is sleeping. He loves to sunbathe as well, and can often be found dozing by the lake.
