1.
Information on Escape

Escape: A World at Your Fingertips is a virtual reality system built to make any videogame experience a hands-on one. Using a full-body suit, small fibres and charges run along delicate wires, allowing the player to feel anything and everything that happens in game.

**Please note: any pain felt should be nothing more than a small zap - if anything larger occurs, please contact the customer service line right away.

A helmet allows the player to see everything around them in a completely realistic environment, as well as allowing them to play with fellow players, and have coherent and full conversations with both players and NPCs alike. No more will characters stick to storyline scripts - what you do affects the game entirely; you become the main character.

As well, there is a free range sandbox mode available to play, where the player can choose to have the environment and NPCs untouched by storyline settings, and can run free amongst the area of the game, allowing for private storylines to be played out.

All games, movies, TV. shows and books should be easily accesable from our server list to play out as you will. Cross-storylines are not available at this time.

Once you have entered the game lobby (Currently white rooms with simply furnishing, however, upgrades and customization will be available with future updates), go to the large screen on the wall and choose your game from the list. If you need any help, please feel free to contact Support, who will join your lobby immediately to help you with your problem.

To join someone else's game, find them on your friendslist, or recieve a user invitation, and accept or tap 'join.' Please note that the lobby leader is the only one that can alter the game settings, until the game is ended, or until everyone returns to the lobby.

{If there is a storyline / game occuring that you would like to join, feel free, however, you cannot decide that you don't like it any more and change the game on everyone. You are welcome to set up your own game, however. Only the person who chose the current game is able to end the game, or change the settings. Anyone is free to join or drop out of a game at any given time}

{Please note that not everyone will know the games occuring, but anyone is welcome to join and learn. Try not to have more than 2 or 3 games happening at once though, please. Start all posts labelling where you are, and if in a game, which one you are participating in. These are meant to be short roleplays, and although further down the line, we may have a large plot together, please refrain from creating any huge, plot-based epic journeys.}

[Chelsea : Game Lobby]

As soon as she lowered the visor over her eyes, the game was in motion. Blinking a few times, Chelsea allowed her eyes to adjust to her new surroundings, flexing her fingers at her sides. Her body was at home, laying on her bed, relaxing. However, a white helmet covered her head, and from that stemmed wires that travelled across her body, not like a suit, but like a skeleton against her skin.

Her mind was elsewhere - according to all of her senses, she now was completely immersed in a virtual world. She couldn't feel the bed beneath her, or the slight breeze from her window. She felt fine, and as she took a step forward, felt no pull from the wires or shift against her body.

"...Wow, I'm impressed," she said aloud, to no one in particular. Resting one hand on her hip, she took a glance about the room. The walls were white, the couches... white. No windows. White tables. White flowers in a little white vase. The only splash of anything in the room was the giant 12 foot screen on one wall, and her own clothes, which she had chosen in the start-up menu of the game - dark blue flared jeans, and a black shirt with the autobots symbol on the front.

She smiled as she looked down, surpressing the urge to yell 'Autobots, roll out!'. Instead, she crossed the room to the T.V., touching the front of it gently. Immediately the screen sprang to life, and a woman's voice rang through the room.

"Welcome to Escape: A World at Your Fingertips. How may I help you today?"

Chelsea looked up at the giant screen, but saw no face to match the voice, just the Escape logo twirling in circles. "Ummm..." she said slowly. "Who... Who is online that I know?"

"Just one moment, please," the T.V. responded, as her AIM buddy list popped up. "Scanning to see if any of your A.I.M. buddies have signed on to Escape..."

[Nick::Game Lobby]

With visor and 'skeletal sensors' in place, Nick took a deep breath and entered the start-up screen. He was surprised at the realism of the game. The brown haired boy couldn't even feel his fat cat lying atop of his chest as he lie within his bed. His deep blue eyes looked around curiously, as he cycled through what seemed like a limitless supply of clothing that he could wear. He finally chose something common for him: A black shirt from his favorite designer [x] and a pair of blue jeans, as well as black and white sneakers. "...Perfect."

He then appeared within the game lobby, feet tapping against the white tile. "Nice digs, I guess. A little too plain, if you ask me, but meh." Nick shrugged, adjusting his ingame black spectacles that always adorned his face out in the real world. "...What games to play...So many choices, never enough time."

[Jon :: Game Lobby]

Jon, also laying on his bed, with the skeletal frame in place. "God my bed is waaaaaaaay too comfortable, if it weren't for this thing blocking that feeling...man I'd never be able to play a game without falling asleep halfway through." As he saw, he was standing in the white room. He went through the clothes, and eventually decided upon some camo cargo pants, an eathy green shirt, a tan vest with LOTS of pockets, and brown slip on shoes. "Hmmm...still missing something....I need...AH! A good accessory!" He browsed, and picked a cool pair of purple lensed goggles, with a black frame. "Screw fashion sense, these are AWESOME."

Finally done with his outfit, he wandered over to the screen, and tapped it once.
"Welcome, How may I help you today?"

"Who's online?"

"Scanning..."

He waited for the box to pop up with the list of all his friends who were online.

[Nick::Game Lobby]

Nick cycled through a few games, frowning the longer he cycled through the gigantic list of games, the less satisified he seemed. "Why is there not a single interesting game today...Huh." He let out a sigh, then backed out of the games menu and went to the main.

"...Um...What do I call you...Computer?"

"Welcome, how may I help you today?"

"...Okay...Who's online currently?"

"Scanning, sir."

Nick watched curiously, seeing one name pop up first. "...Jon is on, apparantly. Hmm, now how the heck do I message people on this thing?!"

[Chelsea : Lobby]
Her smile faded a little as her AIM list came up blank.

"Would you like to connect to any other sources?" The computer asked cheerfully. Chelsea considered her options carefully. Her MSN list maybe wasn't the best place - it was mostly people from school, and, she admitted to herself, they weren't exactly the gaming type. Her Skype contained the same people as were on her AIM, so another no go. And she didn't use Yahoo or any other type of service.

She tapped her foot as she tried to figure out how she could find someone - anyone - to play with. The thought of playing with strangers was okay, but if she had learned anything from Xbox Live, it was that gamers aren't always the most polite people to play with.

"Computer," she said, trying hard not to chuckle at the Star Trek reference, "can you connect me to Xbox live?"

"Username?"

"Xesae."

"Scanning.... .... .... No users online."

"Dammit," she said under her breath. "Well... can you connect to sites?"

"Certainly."

"Can you check... Hmm. How about Gaiaonline?"

"Username?"

"Daisuk."

"Scanning.... .... .... No users found in friendslist, 2 users found in guilds."

"Two users found in guilds?" she asked curiously. "Like, people from the guilds I'm in? You can DO that?"

"Certainly. Users Fates Eternal Eclipse and Kichi Kuronagi are online. Would you like to send an invite to join your lobby?"

Chelsea glanced at the screen as their two profiles popped up, showing that, indeed, they were from the guild that Kyle had invited her to. "Um... I guess so..." she said awkwardly, although she didn't know exactly who they were, or if they would accept. But an invite was better than being rude.

[Nick::Lobby]

Nick opened his mouth, getting out "Computer, how-" before a pinging sound and a small pop-up appearing on his screen. The brunette boy read silently to himself as the monotonous computer voice read it aloud.
"You have been invited to join Chelsea aka Daisuk@gaiaonline within her lobby. Do you accept or decline?"

"...Computer, can you run a cross reference between Daisuk and myself on Gaia?" Wow, I sound like a giant nerd... Nick thought, drawing his hand down his face while shaking his head.

"Yes. Username?"

"Fates Eternal Eclipse."

"...One guild. Kingdom Hearts: What Lies Beyond the Door (First KH GGN)."

"Ah." Nick bit his lip, staring up at the screen with an odd gaze. "...I see. Well, I accept her invite. Now wha-" Before Nick could finish his sentence, he felt a tug against his chest. In the blink of an eye, he was gone from his lobby, slowly rematerializing within Chelsea's. After an awkward moment of looking around the new room, he brushed himself off with a few quick swipes. "Well, I'll say this much: That was an interesting ride." he said with a small smile, looking rather flustered.

...How embarassing. I can never handle introductions well.

[Chelsea : Lobby]

Chelsea let out a small scream as a boy appeared next to her, before quickly covering her face in embarrassment, a deep red flush growing across her cheeks.

"Sorry," she said awkwardly, letting her hands drop as she laughed off the embarrassment. "I didn't expect you to appear that fast, or how, or...well.. really anything, since I'm new to Escape. Well, I guess everyone is new to Escape, since it just came out and all, and it's advertised everywhere, and I saw it at my work, which I thought was pretty cool so I picked it up and oh dear, I'm rambling. Sorry," she said with a smile and a small sigh, "I do that when I'm nervous."

She laughed again, before extending a hand to shake. "I'm Chelsea. Or Daisuk. Really, I get called both. Thanks for accepting the invite - I really don't know many as people online as I'd like to think."

[Jon :: Own lobby -> Chelsea's lobby]

"One online, Nick."

"Hmmm.... I was really hoping to try Armored Core...but I guess we can chat until Kyle get's on to help me out. Send him a-" He was cut off by a 'Bing!' and a little box popping up.

"Chelsea, from Gaiaonline has found you through a mutual Guild membership, to Kingdom Hearts: What Lies Beyond the Door. She has invited you to her lobby, would you like to join?"

"Hmmm, if she found me like that...then she prolly found Nick too. Sure."

All of a sudden the scenery flashed, and he was standing in a room with the two of them. "Well...there we go. That works. Hey guys!" he said, attempting to start conversation.

[Nick::Chelsea's Lobby]

Nick reached out, shaking Chelsea's hand with a gentle grip, something uncommon for a bigger guy. "A pleasure to meet you, Chelsea. And don't feel bad. I barely know what I'm doing as well." he said, chuckling slightly before someone else appeared and began speaking.

"GAH!!!" Nick yelped, jumping at least a foot before turning, hand to his chest. "Jeebus! Don't scare me like that...Kichi?" the brunette paused, staring at the newcomer curiously. "What is up, Kichi? Or is Jon?"

[Chelsea : Lobby]

Chelsea shook hands with the nice boy - whose name she hadn't caught yet - just before a second boy appeared. This time, she didn't scream, but she did jump, dropping the boy's hand. This is going to take some getting used to.

It seemed, however, she wasn't the only one spooked though, as the boy she'd just met jumped just as high as she had, clutching his chest as he addressed the newcomer.

She listened to the two talk to each other, before piping in. "So, you," she said, pointing to the boy with the goggles, "are Kichi, and you," she said, pointing to the boy she'd already introduced herself to, "are Fate? Yes? Or..." Her brows furrowed slightly, "You are Jon, and you are... um... still Fate?"

She laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, I'm not as active in the guild as I wish I was. I'm afraid I don't know your actual names..." Awkwaaaaard.

[Jon :: Chelsea's Lobby]

Jon laughed as they jumped. "Sorry sorry!" He chuckled at the naming question. "Jon or Kichi, either way works fine by me, Nick." He offered his hand for Chelsea to Shake. "I think I remember you...Pretty sure we RPed together at some point. But yeah, I'm Kichi or Jon, whichever you prefer to use. If you have trouble remembering the Kichi one, jus remember it by 'Kichi is peachy'. It seems to work." He let out another laugh.

[Chelsea : Lobby]

She took the offered hand in her own, shaking it with a smile. "Kichi is peachy... I like it!" she laughed, releasing him and crossing her arms under her chest. "I'm Chelsea. There's a possibility you know that - I roleplayed in Heartfelt Adventure for a while."

She laughed again, a slight flush re-entering her face. "Except I got kinda A.D.D. and things happened and I didn't last very long in it..."

Looking around the room, she motioned to the couches. "Want to sit down? I was going to wait for a few friends before I entered a game. Unless you had one in mind?" she offered to both Jon and Nick.
