When she was young she had dark red curly hair that was her pride and joy. At 14 years old, Muriel went to the local market to pick up a few items for her mother. When she came back every inch of the house was saturated in blood and her mother stood before her with a fake smile attempting to hide the bodies of Muriel's three sisters and father. Muriel attempted to cry out but her mother jumped at her. Muriel closed her eyes and when she opened them there stood a silver eyed witch, what her family called them, and on the other side of the room was a yoma that had taken on the form of her mother. Without a family or relative who would take her in Muriel joined the orginisation in which the silver eyed witch came from only to find out the women had died a day afterwards. Now Muriel's thick red hair is replaced by flat blonde and the only attributed that remain from before are her mother's high cheeck bones.

Ellen doesn't know much about her past since she doesn't care enough about it to try to remember it. She isn't the most popular Claymore since she doesn't have the nicest attitude nor does she care to get along with any of the other Claymores.

From killing political figures, humans, and even other Claymores. Marley has done it all. When Marley was nine years old her village was burnt to the ground for houseing a Claymore on the run from the organization. Marley and a little boy were the only survivors untill the former number three came back. She killed the boy and told Marley: "The worlds tough. Stop sobbing! The world is dark, evil, full of treason and muntiny. Get use to it!" Marley later joined the organization and got her title as number three by killing the women who burnt down her village.
