Personality: Achava is loyal to those she sees as her responsibility - that is to say, those who have joined R.E.F.U.G.E. She generally does not show emotion around strangers or in public, but in private with people she finds trustworthy, she can sometimes be very emotional.
History: Achava's parents are very wealthy and did spoil her slightly when she was a child. However, they refused to send her to private school, insisting that they wanted to support the local school system and, besides, they did not want to waste money on taxes that their daughter would not even benefit from.
Achava had planned to be a journalist from the moment she began to seriously consider her future career. She wrote for her school newspaper both in middle school and high school and even became an editor of her high school paper.
She was a very intelligents student - passing through high school with high grades and a good chance at getting into an excellent college. Despite her potential, she decided that her time was best spent in other endeavors besides university.
Having read in the news of everything that was happening in this war over Virtuosos, she decided to take a few years off of school and aid in the war efforts. She believes that Virtuosos have been grossly mistreated. Achava herself experienced much prejudice at school for being one. For this reason, she formed a small group of Virtuoso rebels who sought to fight back. They call themselves "The True Warriors," and collaborate to write a weekly anti-Agency paper. They have slowly gained traction - enough to take over their own town, from which they print the paper.
