I intially started writing in a journal when I was in grade 4. It was mandatory for every student to have one, I think it was to help us hone in on our handwriting skills. I look back at my old entries and can't help but laugh at myself, I used to love to talk about lunch..a little too much I think, hee hee blaugh
I stopped after grade 4 and didn't start up again until grade 9. I continued to write through highschool and went from paper journals to online journals in my early 20's and have been writing ever since.
So my question is...did you keep a journal/diary when you were little? Do you still have it around? When did you decide to get an online journal? What do you like to write about, just general things or personal things or poetry/rping?
I'm going to hunt down my old journal and post one of the entries, they're funny *feel free to do the same if you want* wink

I've attempted written journals for as long as I can remember. My sister gave me this really cute one for X-Mas, but I'm so afraid of ruining it with petty rantings and whatnot. D: Neh.
I've had an online journal since 2001, I think. From there, I've switched back and forth between services. Now I'm all settled into Gaia. whee

I started writing in a journal when Gaia made them. A few months before Gaia made their journals, I had decided I wanted an online journal, but I didn't know which site to go with, and my life was pretty crappy at that time and I decided I really didn't want to write about it after all, then forgot about the whole journal idea. When Gaia came out with them though, I decided to use it, since I'm on Gaia all the time, and felt it was perfect that they had journals on here, a site I go to all the time anyway, so I wouldn't have to go choose a journal site. I have an entry for everyday since they first made the feature, and I'm really glad they made it, since I can keep up with it here everyday. I probably would have forgotten about it eventually if it was on another site. So I will continue to write an entry each and everyday of my life. I think one time when I was little I had a little paper journal, but I couldn't write for crap when I was that young, and I didn't have the time to sit there and write things, and wasn't really interested in doing so. I don't know where that went, but there was nothing interesting in it anyway.

I've never really had a journal at home.
It all started with the Gaian Journal actually. 3nodding
I didn't keep it up for very long though.. I just recently went back and checked out the things i've written so far. So I just felt like getting back into the game.

I started a real life journal, back in my sophomore year of high school.
I started for no real reason, but I just wanted a written record, of my life.
I now have, a real life journal and my online gaia journal.

I have journals from when I was about 7....they are really funny to read over...the thoughts that went through my mind!.....i have loads of journals and diaries that are imcomplete and have random things throughout them.
but my first ever online journal was on gaia!...and i havent been on gaia forever...so i have only just kinda started..

When I was in 4th grade I still remember an spiral hardcore notebook od the 101 Dalmatians. I write in half of the page and the other half I make a drawing of waht I talk about with colors and everything,...those days
