Appearance: Rather unobtrusive. She is pretty enough but not particularly glamorous. Her hair is a medium-toned brown shade, somewhat curly, and her eyes are also brown - but dark enough that they look black. She usually keeps her hair tied back in a ponytail.
She is five feet, four inches tall and weighs around 120 lbs.
Personality: She will pitch in gladly with any and all work that needs doing, but she makes no effort to seek out extra work to do. She is not athletic; she's too mellow to really care about being competitive. Ixiara does her best to be friendly and it is difficult to make her angry, but when she's pushed far enough she will lash out with somewhat startling vehemence. Above all other things she enjoys peace and quiet, and places to be alone with her thoughts. She likes things to be orderly and to run smoothly. If things do not run as they should she becomes very irritated, and if someone disturbs her while she's musing she can be quite nasty about it.
She feels completely at home around animals and wouldn't consider a trade that didn't involve them, but Ixiara never felt that she was able to take on the responsibility of owning one. Secretly, however, she wanted a pet very much; especially a fire lizard. Of course, once she impressed any thoughts of other pets disappeared.
Since Ghinath came into her life Ixiara has become slightly more social. Her dragon likes to have people around to admire her, so Ixiara relaxes a little more around others. Ixiara adores her dragon with every fiber of her being, and still prefers her company over most humans. She refuses to hear anything from anyone else against Ghinath, no matter how her dragon behaves, but if she feels her dragon is out of line she will privately and quietly chastise her. The only ones she will allow to pull her away from her dragon are family members and close friends. She still works hard, but mostly her attitude now is "Get it done so that I can run off with Ghinath!"
History: Ixiara grew up in Telgar Hold working with her father watching the hold's herdbeasts. Her mother was never comfortable with her only child doing such work but took it in stride, as her father had no son to teach he was perfectly happy to pass what he knew to Ixiara instead. She knows quite a lot about animals as a result. When dragonmen rode on search she had the good fortune to be in the hold at the right time and place.
Shortly after arriving in the weyr she met a brownrider named B'ron who quickly became a close friend of hers. He was dependable and cheerful, something Ixiara needed very badly after being uprooted and brought to an unfamiliar place. Their relationship evolved into something more after Ixiara impressed Ghinath, much to the green dragon's disapproval.
Ixiara's nature is to be extremely loyal, so her devotion to B'ron is second only to her dragon and her duty as a rider. That having been said, Ixiara is not overly demonstrative of her feelings. A discrete brush of her hand on B'ron's arm, a light touch on the shoulder, a brief hug or, if she's feeling particularly affectionate, perhaps a kiss on the cheek are the things to be expected of her. Ixiara prefers to let her actions show how she feels, not her flirting. However reserved she may appear she doesn't impose the same limitations on B'ron. Whatever he is willing to give she will accept. She does her best to anticipate his needs, and wears a hole in the floor with worry if she has nothing to distract herself during threadfall. When it comes to her dragon Ixiara makes sure that her relationship doesn't lead to neglect of her lifemate. For all her devotion to B'ron, Ghinath is still Ixiara's first priority, but it bothers Ixiara deeply that Ghinath and Hath are unlikely to ever mate. To make up for this Ixiara is slightly cold towards other males. She never compromises her manners, but she makes it plain that she is not open for attention from other male riders at all. If in the future any of her flight partners become too clingy her temper will snap completly and the results will not be pretty. She absolutely refuses to cheapen her loyalty or her love. This tendancy is further helped along by Ghinath. While the dragon is flirty enough with her own kind she is very firm about not sharing Ixiara with any more people than she has to.
Ghinath will never truly accept B'ron or feel affection for him. Then again that would be true for anyone Ixiara decided to choose. As she grows and sees his effect on Ixiara she begins to become willing to tolerate him: much like someone who is alergic tolerates their spouse's pet. Being unwilling to hurt Ixiara she will not actively antagonize B'ron, though she isn't above giving him an occasional difficulty or two. Now and then she enjoys trying to manipulate him into doing something or other that he wouldn't normally. Hath she considers fairly good company, even if he sleeps too much, but he's definately not mate material.

Appearance: Ghinath is a deep, earthy green. She is mainly a dark emerald but various other shades of green color her belly and head. Green dragons are never quite as beautiful as queens, but Ghinath is almost as close as you can get. While she might be thin it gives her an appealing, lithe look and there isn't a flaw or blemish on her.
Personality: Ghinath knows perfectly well how she looks and loves to remind people about it: even herself. Reflective surfaces are her addiction. She is quite clever and friendly despite her haughtiness. She has a possessive streak, however, and is very jealous of her rider's affections. Ixiara realized early on about Ghinath's reflection obsession, and jokes about "shinies" are one of her favorite ways to tease Ghinath. ie: "Look, Ghinath! Something shiney!!" "Where?!"
