Basic Rules 1. Please do not copy or redistribute without permission. The Puri Project is copyrighted to Haradaya. And the art is copyrighted to Haradaya, Kenshin Kitty and Saitou Puppy. This includes taking and altering the images. That is ART THEFT and will not be tolerated. 2. No flaming, trying to start trouble, or picking on the stupid. That right is reserved for staff only. We want to keep the Puri image a good one, so if you can't answer a person's questions nicely, let someone else do it, please. 3. Roleplaying isn't mandatory, but it is encouragedWe'd like it if you drop by the thread once in a while to let us know your puri is still alive. While roleplaying isn't necessary for your puri to grow, it will take longer (we tend to grow ones we see are active on the thread first). 4. Please do not beg, whine, bribe or otherwise make a nuinsence of yourself to current owners or the staff for a puri or puri egg. I cannot stress this enough. If there are eggs available or sales/auctions going on, I will put it in the thread title! If you don't see any mention of eggs or puries for sale/auction/whatever... that means there's none available ^_^ IF I FIND OUT YOU ARE BOTHERING AN OWNER OR STAFF WITH PMs ASKING FOR A PURI, YOU WILL BE PUT ON THE BLACKLIST AND *NEVER* GET ONE! I will NOT put up with harassment, got it?Guide to Breeds Normal Puries: These are what you see most of. They are the main inhabitants of Puri Island, cute little fluffballs with feathery antennaes that grow up to be cute large fluffballs. Demon Puries: This breed is very rare. For years, they remained a myth until recent explorations turned up three demon eggs. Aloof and prone to mischief, the demons are a handful to deal with and should only be given to owners with *plenty* of patience. Demons are known to possess certain psychic powers, but most usually don't fully develop them until they are mature. Angel Puries: It was rumored that "normal" puries were the angelic breed, but some argue that they are merely a cross-breed of the angels... and that a purebred angel has yet to be found *cough* Balmung*cough*. Angels are said to be strong and brave, loving and loyal... but aren't all puries? ^_^ Water Puries: Said to exist in the mythical waters of Angel Lake beneath Purmaid Falls. An old legend tells of a pregnant young angel puri who became lost in the swamps deep in the forest. For days she travelled, tired and hungry, the dark swamp seeming to pull her deeper and deeper into it. Finally feeling she could wander no further, the dying mother-to-be collapsed by the dryest place she could find to give birth. With her final breath, she wished for her pups to grow up healthy and strong. As she died, a tear fell from her eye and transformed the whole area into a beautiful sparkling lake, where her babies are said to still live and play to this very day. Of course, no one has ever seen Angel Lake or Purmaid Falls... Mini Puries: The results of a failed experiment. These are test tube puries, created by trying to multiply a puri's cute factor times 100. This resulted in a miniature version of the puri, which is stuck being forever young and inable to breed. There are many legends in puri history. Some may be factual, some may be false. As I comb through the stories, I'll post some of them up here. Perhaps they'll give us clues to new puri breeds yet to be discovered! Facts and Answers 1. Breeding costs 5000 gold or 5k how ever you'd like to write it 2. Each Puri can only breed 3 times ( so pick wisely) 3. There are only 2-4 eggs per litter, number depends on a randomizer 4. Puries can only breed as adults, meaning if you berried your puri, it can't breed. 5. Feeding berries to your Puries will keep them small forever, also they can not breed. 6. Flat sale rates may vary depending on time spent coloring or Gaia's gold rate at that time. 7. Normal Puri eggs can only be sold for 10k. 8. You may sell your puri at anytime after it is hatched, for any price you see fit, but *you must tell a staff member for our records*

Midnight Yume IntroductionI've seen people who've asked how they're supposed to get a Puri, how much they cost, etc. And just to save the people who wonders and the people who answer some time, I decided to start a thread about it. And before you flame me for not being a staff member and giving incorrect information, PLEASE READ THROUGH THE POSTS PROPERLY. Staff? What staff?Well, Puri Pets have its very own staff, and I hope you don't stress them. <.> I've never owned a shop, but I guess I know how it's like. Staff members at different breedable shops are often stressed because their customers keep getting all impatient. I hope this will not happen the Puri staff members, since, I guess they're already busy with their real lives. I'm not anything else but a normal person and I'm already getting kind of stressed because I can't get online to RP on Puri Pets or Talaye Meadow just because I've got my real life, and I don't even OWN the shops. The Puri staff members are: Saitou Puppy (owner) Kenshin Kitty (co -owner and breeder) Purrasha ( shop manger and Head RP manager) Caneton ( shop manager and RP manager) Zymbu ( RP manager) Almighty Ace ( RP manager ) Haradaya ( not staff any more, but she IS the one who gave "birth" to the ideas and art of Puri Pets.) (Please tell if I've forgotten someone! x__x; wink

Midnight Yume The Puri Do's and Don'tsThere're probably more positive and negative things to do/not to do that exist, and if you can think of more, please tell in the thread (once I'm done with posting <.<). These are just the basics. I hope you've learned something by reading this. What I Recommend You To Do*Chat and RP with us (even if you're not an owner of a Puri), and stalk the guild and main thread a lot so we get to know you (isn't necessary, but always nice) *To help the ones who does not understand the information correctly instead of snorting at their stupidness (you know, sometimes I don't understand stuff, or happen to miss/forget something from the information, and it makes me feel uncomfortable if I know people will flame me just because of that) *Try to cheer up people who're feeling down at the thread *Once again; RP isn't necessary but it is encouraged; if you get a Puri, I recommend you RP:ing her/him What I Hope You Won't Do*Beg and whine for a Puri before you even know what it is *Step right into the thread and ask what a Puri is, how to get one, how much they cost before you even read the front page (that's something else than miss/forget something when reading the front page properly) *keep PM:ing to the Puri owners, asking them if they want to give/sell their Puries to you *Flame the staff members and the Puri owners when they refuse to give you one *Flame newbs and other people without reason *Art theft - do I've to say more? *Start a fight in the thread/guild *Claim to own a Puri when it's owned by someone else or re-coloring a Puri and claiming it's yours (but that's kind of art theft) *Common happenings in Breedables threads: getting impatient because the owners won't update your Puri at once. They've got real lives, and they're very busy. *Common sense, still quite useful: don't start whining and complaining if people doesn't reply to you at once. Everyone live in different timezones and have their real lives. For example, I can't get impatient because other people don't reply to my posts at once, because we live in different timezones. When it's about noon for me, it's in the middle of the night for those who live in the timezones EST and PST. You don't believe they'll get up that late just to see if I've posted anything, do you? *Get your Puri and never come back again even though you've got the time to visit the thread.

quote="Midnight Yume"]The Easiest The easiest ways to get a Puri are listed below: *If you're stalking the thread a lot and are very lucky, an owner might give one to you when breeding his/her Puri. Knowing that you're able to trust and quite active always increases the chances to get a Puri. I recommend you not to PM the owners of the two breeding Puries all the time, begging for one - that will decrease the chances. *If you're stalking the thread a lot and are quite active, you'll stay assured that you'll get to know everything about the Puri events that might occur. That's definitely good, because it's not nice if you want a Puri very much, and then you miss an event! <.< It's always a good idea to be active so you know what's going on. These are the easiest at the moment. I can't think of easier ways. <.>
The Hardest Listed below are the hardest ways to get a Puri: *Doing something that you're not supposed to do, but won't blacklist you - that's just not very good, because it will definitely NOT get you a Puri, though it will not blacklist you... all it does will probably make a few dislike you, but they'll probably forgive you if you apologise and are nicer in the future. *Unactive in the Puri thread. You'll probably miss most of the Puri events that are going on, and that will definitely decrease your chances in getting a Puri. *Being totally blacklisted - that will not get you a Puri at all, and that's the hardest. If you're blacklisted, you'll never ever get a Puri, and it's not only the hardest - it's impossible.

Midnight Yume RP? Stay active? What are you talking about?!OK, so this little part of the large front page is about getting known among us. It's really nice if people know you before you get a Puri, that you stalk the thread a lot, and such. And when I mean "stalk", I don't mean, "appear once a month and just post 'Hi ninja '", I mean, TALK. RP. HAVE FUN. If you stay active in the thread (aka RP, talk with us, etc), you'll also get easily informed about what's going on (I don't mean that the staff members personally send PMs to you, I mean, you'll definitely notice that people are talking about something else or that the staff members are announcing something special). Roleplaying? OK, let's have fun!You don't need to roleplay seriously, though it's also nice and not discouraged; but I prefer RP:ing with the *-symbols. Please do not roleplay a Puri who's owned by someone else or a Puri which does not exist yet. That's just not... fun, I don't know other ways to say it. But RP:ing with us is definitely encouraged. We'll get to know you, and you'll get to know us. That's always a good start in getting a Puri. It's not necessary, but always nicer, both for us and for you. Talk and StalkIf you're not the RP type, it's always nice to talk with us. As long as you don't talk behind anyone's back or about non-PG-13 stuff, you can always talk with us. That's also counted as stalking the thread, and that's a good thing to do. So talk, talk, talk until you... er... do not want to stalk (anymore ninja )!

Midnight Yume The Ways of Getting a Puri: One, FlatsalesI'm not exactly sure, but I think flatsales normally occur when it's a new generation. As I was digging in the old posts of the Puri main thread, I found a girl asking when the next flatsale would occur and Saipup answered that the next flatsale would be the Gen 4 flatsale. But I've also got to know that just because it's a new gen, it's not necessary to have a flatsale. Flatsales don't occur as often as the other events, but it's worth waiting for one if you're not very rich. In flatsales, the staff members choose a decent price, and once the flatsale starts, you're supposed to buy them. Or so normal flatsales work. I guess that in the last flatsale you had to answer questions (once again, while I was digging in the old posts), and it went rather quickly; so I guess that if you want to get a Puri in a flatsale, you must be very quick before all of them are sold out. If you're not able to be at the flatsale yourself, you can always have a friend or someone else buy one for you. The Ways of Getting a Puri: Two, AuctionsAuctions - that's easy to understand, I can guess. Auctions occur more often that flatsales does, and the bids gets very high. I don't know if there're autobuys at the coming Puri auctions, because I can't remember if there was any autobuy at Estrella's (Solstice's) auction, and therefore I can't say if there is or isn't. But since Puries are very popular, the auctions' bids get very high. It's extremely hard to get one at an auction if you hardly have any gold at all. The Ways of Getting a Puri: Three, RafflesOh, yes, raffles! For those who aren't fast enough at flatsales and for those who doesn't have enough gold at the auctions. At the most recent raffle that has occured (Sachiko's, which I won), you could buy ten tickets, for 10 gold each (I think - didn't I pay 100g for all the tickets? o.O). But I don't think every raffle will be the same. ^^; The Ways of Getting a Puri: Four, Special EventsSo far I've never exactly been to a special event, except for Seavana's, which Dasumi Maxwell won, and you were supposed to write what you would do for Seavana, and I think that was for free. o.O Other special events can be colorist contests or fanart contests, but just because it's a special event, doesn't mean the price must necessarily be a Puri. At the first Puri fanart contest, the prize was a Mini Puri. The Ways of Getting a Puri: Five, BreedingIf two owners' Puries breed, they can get up to four eggs. The amount of the eggs are divided between the two owners (so they get two each, if they get four eggs). The owners can either keep, sell or give away their eggs. But I warn you: don't BEG for one of their eggs. I doubt any of the owners will give them to you just because you beg for one of their eggs. They might, if they pity you, but that's not a good way getting a Puri. The Ways of Getting a Puri: Six, Special OccasionsWell, for example, like Saipup's Grizzly Hat-thing*. That can't count as a special event, at least I don't count it as a special event. Special ocassions are very rare, or at least I think so. It isn't very much known about these. ^^; *= If you haven't read through the whole front page of this thread, you don't know; so here I'll explain it for you - earlier Saipup announced on the main Puri thread's front post that he'd trade a Custom Puri for a Grizzly Hat. Ways of Getting a Puri: Seven, Gifts [Added by Lythiaren. Thanks! xp ] Because we only give Puries to very good friends, and we go to great lengths to manipulate fate so people who annoy us needlessly never get one. Why? Because beggars, suckups, and annoying people SUCK. And they deserve a beating from me. Which would hurt. xd

In the event that an owner no longer wants/can no longer take care of a Puri, Kirin, or Woofi in his charge, the owner can sell it back to KWPP for a flat fee of 10k, no questions asked. KWPP then has the right to do with it as they will, including giveaway, flat sale, auction, raffle, freedom or retirement.
