I finally caved and bought some gaia cash.
I've never spent money on internet stuff before, but I saw the thing with the paying by phone, and I couldn't resist. I don't even have anything I want badly right now. I'm just sick of scrounging and questing and... I was weak gonk
Make me feel better by telling me you spend money on this site too?
PLOZ!?

I'll admit my weakness to make you feel better. I used to buy the sealeds every month 10 at a time (hooray for the awesome exchange rate back then) If you think of it as paying for a service youve used for the past however many years you've been here and divide what youve spent by that it might make you feel better? blaugh

What I feel probably won't make you feel better. I used to donate every once in a while when I liked the item (Coco kitty was awesome cause that month glitched and sent you twice as many). But then Gaia became a money hungary whore and I refuse to buy with real money now. I don't have much savings anymore so I can't buy expensive stuff, but the marketplace yoyos so much stuff usually goes down after a few weeks.

I was like you at first too, was not going to spend real money, but after awhile and the want of some items on the MP, i went and got some CASH to buy stuff to sell and make gold. I was weak, but i feel a little better knowing that i have done my part to help Gaia run, but when the cash i have runs out that's it no more.

I was weak too. There were soooo many things I wanted & couldn't afford so I bought some Cash, bought expensive things, sold them and made lots of gold. Now I've found a much better way to make gold though. Booty Grab. Find the right thread & you can make a fortune. Then you can buy whatever you want without using real money whee

I think I did when cash was initially introduced. But only like...$10.00 then. My budget has enough random unnecessary spending in it without paying for pixels (I'm looking at you, iTunes).
I've just gotten pretty lucky that when I want something, I have enough gold stored up in item form that I can sell stuff off for it. Plus, I can usually swing for first generation EIs, then sell them off right when they finish evolving when prices are still high.

Eh, I've done it. I think the most I've ever spent on one month is $40, and there was a time when I'd regularly spend $20 a month.
Now I have to be more frugal. If I find something I like, I'll Booty Grab.
