Cassie giggled as she ran through the forest away from the cave her family lived in. She had never gone anywhere before without her family or at least her brother. They were always doing things together. But this time she figured she would go out on her own and see how it went. How else was she going to be a big girl if her brother was always with her? Besides, she was going to show him that she wasn't a baby like he had said she was that morning when they were fighting. Sure, she was younger but a baby she was not.
Soon the golden eyed filly slowed down a bit and took a look around. She had no idea where she was or how far away from her home she was. She wasn't even sure she knew how to get back. It wasn't long before she began to get scared and worried and tears were threatening to find their way down her cheeks.

 Delphina waved her way through the trees, staring up at the sky through the canopy. She'd slipped off without her daddy knowing, and was now being an explorer of the world. She loved to wander, going off on her own was the best part! Her daddy could be so over-bearing though, so getting away from him was pretty cool too.
Delphy popped around a tree, spotting another filly. She looked scared and lost...Delphy smiled, and bounced over to the female. "Hi! Are you ok? Are you lost?"

Cassie jumped as the other foal seemed to pop out of no where. She had never met another her own age before, other than her brother, and so she quickly forgot that she was upset about being lost. "Yeah, I am ok. I just got a bit confused for a second but I am good now!" she said cheerfully and not wanting to seem like a baby.
She smiled and then looked the other foal over while trying not to stare at the strange things on her back. "My name is Cassie! Let's be friends!" she announced excitedly, beginning to bounce around a bit.

Delphy smiled, shuffling her wings before nodding. "Sure! Hi I'm Delphina! But you can call me Delphy, everybody does! Its nice to meet you Cassie!" She smiled brightly, watching the other female bounce around happily. "Do you live around here?" She gave her tail a flick, watching Cassie with her grey eyes. She was such a nice girl! She knew this adventure was gunna be awesome!

Cassie continued to bounce about and was completely in awe by the things on Delphy's back. They even moved! "It's nice to meet you too, Delphy. I live around here somewhere. At the moment I don't remember where exactly. I kinda just ran away from my mama and lost track of where I was going. She's gonna be so mad when she catches up with me though." she said and stopped bouncing at the thought of getting in trouble. It wasn't going to be very pleasant...maybe her dad would soften her mom up a bit if she found him first when she returned home. "Do you live around here too? And what are those things on your back? Do they move on their own or can you move them if you want too?" she asked eagerly.

Delphina nodded, pointing a wing in the direction of her home. "I live that way with my daddy." Come to think of it...HER daddy was gunna be pretty mad when he caught up with her. "My Daddy's gunna be mad too. "
She laughed at the mention of her wings. Giving them a wiggle, she grinned. "There wings, like on birds? I can fly with them. And I can move them." She spread them for good measure. "See? My Daddy has them. So does my Grandmama, and uncles."

The little grounded filly watched the other as she moved her wings and was still in awe. She wished she had wings but no one in her family had them. "Wow! They are so pretty. Your lucky to have them. No one in my family has wings. Least not that I know of anyway." she said thoughtfully. She would have to ask her parents if they knew anyone with wings when she got back home.
"We should try to have a whole bunch of fun before we get caught and in trouble. So what would you like to do?" she asked the other foal. She had no idea what to do now that she was away from her home. It was all so new to her.

Delphy nodded, bouncing up and down. "Yea!" The winged filly looked around the trees, trying to think of something to do with her new friend.
"I dunno...I've never really played with another foal before..." She shuffed her hoof, blushing slightly.

Cassie smiled at her new friend brightly. "I haven't really either...well...other than with my brother but I don't think he really counts." she said with a giggle and looked around the trees as well.
"We could try and find some flowers or find a river or creek and go swimming." she said trying to think of suggestions and things that sounded fun.
