All new for Summer!! Sakura (Cherry blossom tree) viewing...!!
You don't need a Sakura for this, and it's on a no-profiles-needed basis, so here it is in the Crosswalk!!
Allyou have to do is go put on something picknicky and stop by for a few to rp with us.
You don't need the tree, bring your squirt guns and yakitori sticks!!
Happy Sakura Day!!

You may use yourself as a character, you may make one up, you may just stop in and leave, you may do whatever you like!!
The theme is roughly in a state park filled to the brim with Sakura trees and natural scenery. Imagine if you will jutting mountains in the distance and felids of green at your feet, being showered upon by pink and white petals.
There is a hedge maze framed entirely with sakura trees, vendors lining the walking path with tons of free samples, and everyone brought some kind of tea (barley, orange honey, good ol' Nestea, even). Rivers run throughout, bridged by cherry wood and oak. A few are wide enough for a few drifting boats and lanterns are launched into the water.
When the sun sets the scene becomes more tropical; paper lanterns line the larger pathways, and people begin to walk in pairs...

((Hurr hurrr xD Look at those spelling mistakes Froggie mrgreen Also i hope my current avi is enough ^^ i stopped changing it a long time ago xp I'll just be myself)) Putting his stuff down beside the nearest tree Hokaru began to unpack his blanket to sit on and wooden flask of Yogi Yogi tea. With everything finally unpacked he sat down with his back against the tree, the sun in his lap and a small wooden Go board in front of him. "I guess it is nicer outdoors today" he thought to himself with a faint smile. He stuck his hand into the bowl with the black stones in it and began placing them on the board setting up some small problems, while pouting some tea into a cup.

Lisa smiled as she lay out under a wide-branched tree that peppered her hair with sunlight. She lay on her stomach and had kicked her shoes off an hour ago to feel the grass on her curled toes.
She looked up as a family ran by with a trailing goldfish kite. They must be on their way to the pig roast down by the lake. She sighed a happy sigh and sat up, folding her book "The Importance of Being Ernest" to the side.
(I don;t see no spelling errors, nubb >:})

She pulled a blue ramune drink out of a small red cooler and watched the other visitors- all the good petal viewing plots were full of people already. There were just a few secluded ones left.
She saw a guy a few yards away set up a tiny i-go board. "He must be waiting for a few people too..."

(( Too bad you can't change the one you made in the poll xp And whats with the weird imageshack thing?)) Hokaru slowly finished one of his biscuits that he had down beside him while he pondered at the odd problems laid out in front of him on the board. He liked the way that the stones gleamed in the strong sunlight, illuminating the white stones and making them shine a pure and dazzling untainted white. He licked his lips catching the last few crumbs as he raised his head and felt for his cup. When just across from himself he noticed a girl looking in his direction with her own drink in hand. He raised his cup towards her in substitute for a wave and took a sip of his tea.

Lady Camella blushed as the young man raised his cup. She had been watching him settle in and noticed the Go board. She'd always wanted to play but was always terribly shy.
She picked up her cup and with lowered eyes raised her cup just a bit. Not enough to be obvious, but so that if he were really paying attention, he might notice.
A few blossoms drifted past her face and she smiled happily. Sakura time was always the best time of the year ......

*Lady Camella took a deep breath*
Mmmmmmmmm ...... I love the smell of the blossoms!!
*She watched as little children ran giggling past and young lovers walked hand in hand. She closed her eyes, just enjoying the sounds of the festival and the lovely smell in the air*

Carey was mesmerized by the beauty surrounding her. She had only seen sakura trees in post cards of Washington DC. She carried a picnic basket in one hand, a cooler in the other, and a backpack (that sort of clashed with her dress) which held her blanket, the green fan and the umbrella she bought to match her new dress. She slaved away for weeks, and her fingers were sore from stabbing herself with pins. Her mom had helped her with the sewing machine part because she was afraid she would sew her fingers or something.
She looked around and spotted Lisa. She considered calling out but she decided to walk up behind her and hug her. "Hiya!" she said excitedly.

Hokaru responded to the girl's actions with a nod and drained the rest of his cup and laughed as the girl he was looking at was assaulted by someone obviously attempting a hug. It really was getting crowded now, people's shadows were being cast all over the place, making the ground look as if it was moving. 'Yeah, much better outdoors'

Eventually she stretched and began to get up- an arduous process when one is wearing the traditional oriental kimono. A splash of blue ran over hers among a river of red flowers and white cranes. It wasn't silk, but a comfy thin material that felt wonderful on a hot day like this.
At the end of her ramune she squinted into the distance, looking for her friends. Nobody seemed to be-
And the sun was suddenly covered with a huggy shadow.
"Ca-carey-chan?! You made it!!"
She stepped back a few paces to notice her friend had finally finished over a month's long labor of love, her kimono...
"Nice color." She nodded sagely, as if things of color were entirely her forte.
"I was Juuust thinking I needed a shaved ice, would you like to go with me?" She asked, all smiles.
((I'll have you know Mister Winkles, that ONLY the best Mochi is made of official Japanese Rtice. 'Rice' is the generic term for any starch-based paddy-grown stalk-forming food.))

"Hmmm... but there're so many other people here too- we should see if anybody wants anything."
She glanced around to a demure-looking girl in a floppy hat worthy of the Kentucky Derby. She seemed to be sitting alone, making doe-eyes at the silent go-player. She looked closer-- was he playing his own game, or learning from a book--?
Distracted, she wasn't sure who to go see now. "Well, both of these people are here alone," She made a sweeping gesture, "We could bring back something cold for them. It sucks to have to sit and watch your spot all day."
