I am sure there are a lucky few who have witch/wiccan parents, but for those of us who arent?
Have you told you parents? If so, how did they deal? If not, what do you do to "hide" this from your parents, and why?
I am contemplating telling my parents... but I am not sure how, and I am especially not sure how they would react. I sense they might be okay with it, but I also dread that they would be apalled.
Thoughts?

my mom kinda found out at first. I slipped up. And she went on about how wicca had uderlying satanic root etc. And my dad would kill me. So. I'll problably never tell them.

Mary, my mother, actually doesn't seem to mind now. She was interested in spells but she is still christain and believes I should be too. As far as I know I'm going to hell in her eyes, but that's okay with me.

I don't think that my parents are foolish enough to think that witchcraft is satanic... they are very well educted, liberal, etc. However, its still kind of saddening to think that they might, in fact, not like it. Its very difficult to ponder.

Well parent just want what is best for there kids and I would try bring up that you are intrested in it or something like you know some one who is involved with it and see how they feel about it. If you are under the age of 18 and your parents find out about it and say you have to follow there religion I am sorry guys but you have to follow your parents wishes. It is a law. I was lucky and born in to a wiccan family, but in this day and age wicca and witch craft are becoming more main stream and people are learning more about us and myths about us are being distroyed so you have a pretty good chance of your parents being ok with it especiall if you say they are liberal.

Is it really the law? I tried to look it up and I couldn't find it anywhere. Anyways, my parents know. I think my stepmom thinks I'm going to hell, but doesn't say anything. Luckily for me, my dad is very open-minded, or I would be screwed. I think he thinks I'm gonna be Christo-Wiccan, or this is just a phase, but after seven months of study I think not. I hate how parents think everything is an effing phase!

I was uber stupid...but also sorta lucky. xd My mom asked what I bought at the mall and I said books ((we were at the cyropractor)), she of course, asked what kind...this is where I get stupid....I had it all figured out that I'd just say these books that my friend got me interested in ((like it's some fiction serice or something)), but I ((for some stupid reason, I don't know why)) said Wicca books...she flipped, thankfully tho, the cyropractor came in then so i was just able to look out the window. I felt bad for the poor guy tho, 'cause me and mom wouldn't talk, and he was trying to make us laugh and be so not silent, mom was better at putting on a "I'm not going to kill me daughter face." ^^;; Yeah. Obviously, she was pissed and thinks I'm in a cult. My dad wasn't happy when mom told him, but he didn't lecture me or anything. One time ((durning a fight)) I burst out and yelled at her that I've never done any spells and things got better. 3nodding

My parent's are odd. I've been thinking about my religion an other's religions. They sometimes seem like they don't like Wiccas, and sometimes they are incredibly accepting. My parents also go throught mood swings, so if I ever did become Wiccan, by any off chance, I have no clue what they would do. But, it would end up with me mad at my mother, that's a given.

At my house, it seems everything ends with me being mad at my Mom. eek lol, I'm almost glad Dad is always home now, i can ask him for stuff instead. xd ((But then Mom gets mad when she hears about it, but if I ask her stuff, she gets mad because I always ask her, I can never win. >< lol))
