Ianto's dead.
And he's not going to come back this series, if ever.
He died in Jack's arms. He told him that he loved him.
But I still can't stop crying. A day after his death, I still can't believe that it happened.
RIP, Ianto Jones, aged 21, who left us 09/07/2009. x

SPOILER POST
Wasn't that ending /so awful/? Ianto's death was insignificant and for all the grieving that took place it could easily have just not happened and it be written that he went with Gwen to Rhiannon's, you know? The series was dark enough without that. Jack and Gwen's goodbye was ridiculous, why call a six month pregnant woman out for that? Janto never had closure, in fact they were just starting to be opened up to us, with us finally hearing Janto talk to each other not about sex. And wasn't it like salt rubbed into the wound when Rhiannon told Gwen she didn't know Ianto at all? That means we don't either.
I'm crying too, honeypie, and I'm so bloody angry and annoyed. They are obviously trying for a new audience and not giving a s**t about anyone that gives a s**t about the characters.

There's a facebook community (heck, I joined all of them as soon as Ianto died) about Ianto's death, and they're getting as many people as possible to write to them about how they would bring him back so that they can forward it to RTD.
But, there may still be hope for Ianto Jones;
On GDL's website, it lists everything he's been in, with the years he's been in them for.
And for Ianto, it says:
"Torchwood... Ianto Jones (2006-)"
A sign that he'll be back for another series?
Or a sign that he just hasn't updated?

Just so you know, Gareth posted this on his website:
A thank you to you all
I want to say thank you to everyone who's supported me throughout my time on Torchwood, and especially to everyone who's sent encouraging messages to me here in the last few days.
Torchwood: Children Of Earth was an amazing piece of TV. I got an exit I can be proud of, a job I really enjoyed over the past few years and I'd be honoured to work with anyone from the cast and the production side again on other projects in the future.
Ianto changed and grew a lot over the three seasons and your support was part of what made that possible. I'm looking forward to new projects and to meeting many of you at gigs and other events in the future. Keep watching!

I know, I read it the other day.
It was such a loss, but I'm sure he'll move on to do bigger, better things. ^^ He's already in a new film, so we'll see. : )

I've disappeared a lot from the guild (real life can be a b***h) but I decided to catch up on my Torchwood and all I've gots to say is "what the ********?!" Firstly, it was a good mini series...I mean it was--it was just so dark. The sacrificed grandson...then Ianto dies...and the goodbye there at the end...just no. Owens and Tosh's goodbye were better than Jack's and Ianto's. He didn't have to die...perhaps they were trying to make a point. Still, like seriously. They better fix this by the time the fourth season rolls around...like Ianto coming back from the dead....cuz yeah. Like they find all the dead people from that building in another planet....? HaHa.

His death was the saddest thing in the show since tosh and owens death. But then again jack also killed his own grandson to save the world. That was pretty sad too. I just cant believe he died. He was my favorite character and now hes gone.

Funny how everyone dies except the person that most annoys me....Gwen evil hahahaha, really she pissed me off before but I've warmed up to her. All I have to say about Ianto's death is 'saw it coming' I hate to say it but anyone in Jack's bed ends up dead. So that would be a pleasureable way of suicide? Anyway, I'm upset they felt the need to kill Ianto. I feel like we needed to know more bout him.

Ianto dying was sad yes, but not as sad as the other two. Owen and Tosh, to me, made my inner emotions roll around a lot more than Ianto's passing. Don't get me wrong, I loved his character. He was awesome. The relationship he and Jack had, that was cool too. But still, I guess it wasn't nearly what I was expecting. Nonetheless, it was sad, true indeed.
