This is where it all began. When the Academy was still young and hopeful of a brighter future. Where many races of children could come together and coexist when many of the nations of the continent were on the brink of war. One of the founders that has been recognized publicly as such, Arakus Ulmaine Kruschev, remains at the school as its first headmaster so that he can watch if his dream becomes a reality.
Students, this is a great chance for you. There are so many options for you in terms of fields of study and extracurricular activities that indeed the skies are the limit. Your only duties are to work hard, be inspiring, and have fun. These are some of the best years of your life, so live them well and live them not knowing what the future may hold...

~Rules~
Pretty much, the rules for this particular rp are the same as the others, but just for the sake of posting something here, here are the rules:
I. First, and foremost...enjoy yourself and have fun. I mean, that is what we're here for, correct?
II. Godmoding is only allowed to the moderators (if the occasion calls for it)
III. Remember: Literate writing and enough of it to get the point across...no need to overdo it, but creativity is always welcome.
IV. When you fill out a character sheet, please PM it to me so that it can be approved before I add it and you can post.
V. If you have any big events that you would like to see happen (in other words if you want something major to happen in the plot) send me ideas and I will see what I can do
VI. No killing off another person's character unless it has been approved by a moderator AND if we have been messaged by the other person stating that it is alright.
More can and will be added if the need arises

~Areas of the School Grounds~Main Entrance-approached by a long paved path that leads down to the entrance gates of the entire grounds, this is what the students first see when first entering the school. Beyond is a large entrance hall which breaks off into four hallways-one to the left, one to the right, and one on either side of the main staircase that takes up most of the side opposite the door. Classrooms- each classroom is designed similarly, though each is unique to the certain class. The students typically sit on raised platforms to either side of the classroom, facing the center where the teacher has free range to speak to everyone. Most are located on the first and second floor, though some are held outside or in the underground area, which resembles the architecture of the upper levels and also contains the library and the kitchens. Library- a large room, with ceilings that reach over 200 feet and books from floor to ceiling. The librarians and students can access the books via tall ladders that run along a track that reaches all around the library's perimeter. Kitchens-Food from the kitchens is sent upstairs through an elevator system, brought directly into the dining hall that is able to fit 500 students at any given time, seated at long bench style tables. Dining Hall-where students and teachers come to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are 10 long tables in the hall with an additional table at the head of the hall for the teachers, that can seat 50 students per table. Gardens-Flowers from every nation on Naroahan reside in the 2.5 acre gardens a short distance from the main building. Lake-Beyond the garden and the forest that surrounds the school is a large lake, perfect for swimming and boating in the warmer months, and skating in the winter. Student Quarters- on the upper floors of the Academy are the sleeping quarters of both teachers and students, with teachers in the west wing and students in the east wing. Each student has their own room, completely furnished, with separate sections for boys and girls. In every hallway there are 10 rooms and there is one bathroom, with a separate side for bathing, with room for every student in that hallway to be in there at the same time if need be. Teacher Quarters-a bit more spacious than the student rooms, each teacher has a small suite to themselves including a study and bathroom, furnished to meet the teacher's specific needs. Assembly Hall-All important announcements not said over the intercom system are said in the assembly hall. The chairs form a half circle and slope down to the stage so that every student has a good view of the stage. More may be added...

~Character Form~ I've decided that instead of a formal character form, I want you to put down some information about your character in your first post. I would like you to at least include: -Character's name -Character's age -Character's race -Why they or their family decided on the Academy -Appearance: I would prefer if you could put your picture in your post every time you post (refer to my first post, and if you do not know how to code it properly let me know), but a brief description will work as well Anything else is up to you. However, I do still need you to send a little information to me before you post. I need to know the Class Level: i.e. Junior B (there are Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, and Senior levels, that are based on ability not necessarily age. Within each level there are class levels A for advanced students, B for honors students, and C for normal students), Weapon(s): (if this applies), Magic: (if this applies), and Classes: (For the time being, please pic at most 3 from the list above as a "class schedule" so that you can have something to do throughout the day)

It was a wonderful late summer day. The sun had finally reached up over the treeline of the forest, brightening the school grounds and letting light stream in through the windows. Arakus smiled, looking out of the large window of his office which sat directly above the main entrance. Several students had already entered the halls of the Academy and were on their way to find their rooms, while others were still in the courtyard saying their goodbyes to their parents. It was sad, he knew, for a parent to say goodbye to their child, but their children would be safe, and this was an opportunity for them that shouldn't be passed up.
350 students had registered for the very first year, and Arakus expected more for the next; he was already getting letters by the dozens hinting at future enrollment. Though it didn't matter how many students enrolled, just so long as there were students out there who were willing to be taught in such a special atmosphere. Chuckling to himself, he turned his attention back to his desk, where an almost complete letter still awaited him. It wasn't that he was avoiding it, just looking for the right way to end it. He still had an hour before he would address the new students in the Assembly Hall, which was plenty of time to complete the things he had to do. Quickly, he glanced at the faculty roster again, pleased as he had been every other time he looked at it at the names scrawled across the paper. There was so much talent among his staff and students that he was lucky to have.
Suddenly, a knock on his door interrupted his thoughts. Looking up, Arakus called out to whoever was on the other side of the door. "Please, come in."
As she opened the thick curtains covering her window to let in the sun, Carina looked back over her shoulder at her room. All morning, fellow students had been moving in to the east wing of the Academy. Others, like her, with special circumstances had moved in earlier in the week and had already become acquainted with the layout of the school, or in the very least they had a good head start. Truth be told, Carina had been in her room for nearly a month now, ever since the last of the construction had been completed. Although she had been alone for the most part, it hadn't really bothered her; more time to read in the library, and to enjoy the little bit of quiet she enjoyed.
However, hearing happy chatter in the hall outside her room still made her smile. Leaving her window, she threw on her sweater which was laid on her bed and left her room, deciding that she would pay someone a surprise visit. She smiled and waved to the students she had passed-many of whom she had already made acquaintances with-and introduced herself to those she had yet to meet. Carina certainly had a warm personality, and many of the students, both male and female, were drawn to her by her charisma. For those who decided to get to know her, she would prove to be a good friend to have. Already she was a Senior A in her first year, even at the age of 15, having already passed the testing requirements of the lower classes. She might be new to the Academy, as it in itself was new, but Carina had been taking lessons in many of the offered classes since she was 5.
Heading towards the front of the school, she remained on the second floor and followed a wide hallway with its right wall decorated by arches, revealing the paved courtyard below. At the end of the hallway, she turned right and went a little further before reaching the large double doors that led to the headmaster's office. Reaching up, she knocked, and waited for the voice on the other side. When she heard the headmaster offer her entrance, slowly she opened the door and slipped inside. "Hello father." she said warmly as she approached, rounding his desk and hugging him. "I was just coming to check up on you. You've been very busy this past month, and I still think you should take a break."
"Good morning, darling! What a pleasant surprise, though you know my answer is still polite-fully no. There is so much to do, and now that everything is in motion, I would hate to miss a second of it." Arakus kissed Carina's forehead. "Have you made any new friends yet?"
"I believe so, yes. I've met most of the students, and I'd like to think that I've become close to a few of them, especially those who have been here the longest. Everyone seems to be settling in nicely, and I have only heard wonderful comments about the architecture and how happy the others are to be here. I'm proud of you, father, for bringing such a blessing to all of these students"
"I couldn't have done it without you, Carina. Now, don't worry about me, go on and have some fun. There are still some students outside, perhaps someone out there cold use some help."
"Certainly father, I shall see you later then, when things have settled down a bit more." with her own kiss to his cheek, Carina hurried out of her father's office and headed downstairs, stepping from the cool shade of the entrance hall to the steadily warming outer courtyard. What a gorgeous day, she thought to herself, as she looked around at all the students she would be sharing this home with for at least the year.

Aiden was so anxious. He was excited to be at a new Academy where he could make new friends. Also, the wonderful idea of strengthening his mind, body, and abilities was a major plus. He was standing at the front gates of the school, sun beaming down overhead. He had big brown leather bags of luggage in both hands and books under his arms. Intimidating as they were, the huge gates also gave him a serene feeling of protection. Whether he liked it or not, this was home. He took a deep breath and passed through the gates. He strolled down the path that lead to the entrance and admired all of the elaborate designs. There were carvings and three dimensional artwork on every column and post. He could see a garden in the distance that was filled with gorgeous and exotic flowers. There were colors of flowers in that garden that he never seen before. He cotinued in awe down the cement path to the doors. Aiden made it to the beautiful french doors that lead to the inside and stopped. For a school campus it sure is quiet. Maybe I'm here early? He turned and looked towards what appeared to be a courtyard. He saw a young girl standing in the sun. "Company!" He said it so loud he frightened himself. He gripped the bags and books and inhaled deeply. Make-A-Friend attempt number one. He hesitantly walked towards the girl.

Carina jumped at the sudden exclamation from across the courtyard. Turning, she watched as a bright-eyed boy laden with luggage and books approached her, and she smiled. Another new face, and another chance to make a friend. He certainly looked excited to be at the Academy, or in the very least he appeared to be anxious. It was a common reaction to finally being at the Academy, she had noticed.
Stepping forward slightly, Carina offered him a friendly smile. "Good morning to you." Carina said with a curtsy. Always polite as her mother had taught her, rest her soul. Rising back to her upright position, she took the chance to get a better look at the boy, examining his features carefully so that when she saw him again she would easily recognize him.
"My name is Carina, nice to meet you." That phrase had escaped her many times that day, and yet she never said it without it being true. "The headmaster will be giving a speech in about an hour, would you like me to show you to the dormitories?" Carina offered, holding out a hand to help him with his bags.

"Good morning to you," the girl said to him as he approached her. He was extremely relieved to know that she was polite. There aren't too many nice people left. He huffed quickly, and smiled at the pretty young girl. "My name is Carina, nice to meet you. The headmaster will be giving a speech in about an hour, would you like me to show you to the dormitories?""Hi, my name is Aiden," he said with relief. He smiled even bigger once he heard her speak. Such a delightful person to be affiliated with. "Yes, I know. And I would love for you to, I have no idea where I am or what I'm doing," he said with a light laugh. Aiden noticed that she was willing to help carry his bags and he stepped back once. "Oh no, you can't carry any of this. My grandmother would roll over in her grave if she knew that I even gave thought to allowing a lady carry my things up to my room." He laughed even more and moved out of her way. He bowed his head a little and said, "ladies first."
