Okay, I've just finished watching the anime Hellsing (I had been reading the manga before that) and I've come to the conclusion that Integra is different!! ( 3nodding I'm being sarcastic) Okay, so I've talked to some of my friends who have watched the anime and at least read the first volume of the manga. Some of them like the anime Integra and some like the manga Integra. Give some opinions! : xd

Well its tough, anime Integra, although she looks like a man most of the time (admitted in manga vol. 1 by the creator) but does have that sexy lesbian scene in the third dvd. Manga Integra on the other hand, although she is clearly woman, is a real b***h and seems to be really asexual. Its a tough choice sweatdrop

They are both totaly awsome... But they are totaly different. It is strange after having gotten use to the cold constandly stoic anime Integral to see the disturbing sarcastic flirty manga Integral... I don't think I like either one more or less, they are too different. But I must say that in damn can't remember where it is in the manga... that Integral orders Seres to lick blood off her finger... she bloody taunts her and then says "Now don't bite down" I was like rofl she was so evil, and then she just says "Thats 100% vergin blood, dont you feel revitalized police girl?" or something to that effect, it made me laugh so hard. =^-^= but as far as which one I like better, I don't know. They are both extreamly strong women, just a differnt take on the character and I think they both work. 3nodding

I like them both, actually. The manga and the anime are so different that it's not really fare to compare the two - the same is true of the Integras. Anime!Integra is very serious and stoic, but Manga!Integra is too to some extent. I like Anime!Integra's devotion to duty, but I like Manga!Integra's more easy manner. But they both have the same strength that makes Integra - either Integra - my second fave character in the series.

I have a rant about this. A rant! Yeah, before you read, just to say, I like manga Integra more...
In the anime~ Integra has three basic emotions. The 'show no emotion' emotion, which is featured throught the whole series as her main thing. Next is the 'I'm better than you/your going to die now' emotion. This she uses on Maxwell and Incognito. And lastly, there's the 'angry' emotion where she's clearly pissed off. For me, it seemed like she's either going ~ *hiss!*, or *hiss, growl, hiss!*
In the manga~ She has a soul! She has EMOTIONS! First, she makes jokes! Jokes! They are mainly sarcastic ones, but it's the same. Oh, and one of the main reasons she has a soul is that she cared. She tried to stop Seras when she was going beserk during the Valintine brothers part, and she was out of it for the next few chapters. It was like this~ "What about Alucard and Seras?" "They are already dead." "Oh."

I like when Pip and all Wild Geesefind out shes a vampire and they laugh, Seras is all sad and says, "I knew they would all laugh," and Integra was just like, "And they laugh they do." So supportive that one! She so awesome in the manga

Isn't she? I love her personality! It's so sarcastic yet witty and kick a** at the same time! I love it when she told the Wild Geese how they 'really' take care of vampires...
"We carry garlic and holy water, drive wooden stakes into thier hearts, and cut thier heads off. Then we burn their corpses and scatter their ashes at a crossroad. That is how we work.
I was thinking~ No they don't!! xp

Yeah, her manga personality it great. I'm still amused when I see her occasionally drawn in that chibi/deformed style.
I think one of the main parts that illustrates her personality is the Iscariot attack part. One second she's taken prisoner, the next second she's conned them into escorting her home. I love that part.
gryphon_wonder > I was thinking the same thing when I read the garlic part! I was like, what the heck is she talking about? They just blast vampires!

I love anime, but now i'm starting to get into the manga. In the anime Seras never turns into a TRUE vampire who drinks blood from humans and she never becomes powerful. In the manga she does all these things, gets her arm cut off, and gets these GIGANTIC guns that takes huge ammo from a backpack. The manga is overall grittier and more gothic than the anime.

Yes, but it has nothing to do with Integra. xp

manga, because i just like her more. in the anime she was "iron virgin integral, queen of the cold shoulder". in the manga she was more emotional, more fun, more sadistic, more funny, and much more likeable. on the whole, a much more believable character.

personally i perfer the manga over the anime in general. I think the caracter has more depth in the manga. You know Integral better in the manga then you do in the anime.

*sighs* How am I supposed to choose?I like them both,I guess if she existed I would expect her to be a mixture of both the anime and the manga Integra-sama but that's just my opinion...I just can't choose...that is all.
