Drusilla's favorite place in the entire wyer had to be the big hearths in the main cavern. Nice and warm, people never got too cose, and they usually left her alone if she started napping there. Her eyes were feeling heavy already with the thought of pulling over a padded bench and taking a snooze. Abby was chirping lazily on Dru's shoulder, the green firelizard also looking forward to having a nice lay down after it's meal. Not that the little beast did anything but sleep as it was. Glad there wasn't anyone in her favorite bench, she scooted it a bit closer to the flames and laid down, ready to nap the day away until the next meal.

Zaira walked into the main carvern and saw a girl and a firelizard laying down close to the flames. With Twitter on her shoulder, she and her little blue walked closer to the hearths. She bent down and pulled a container out of her pocket. A pit of soothing solution, (lotion), she placed it next to the girl and sat down by her. "Im Zaira, and this is Twitter. Sorry to intrude but I thought that maybe you'd be needing some of this later if you're going to sit this close to the flames. You can ge very itchy dry patches." She said as she looked at the girl. Her height made her taller then the girl even though she was sitting. Smiling, Zaira stood and was given hungry images and feelings from her flit. "I have to feed Twitter here, maybe I'll see you later?"

Dru opened an eye slowly, glaring at the female who was next to her.
"Don't you have any scorchin manners? I was sleepin for Faranths sake," though normally her words would have been shouted, they were calm and sleepy and rather cold despite the heat radiating off of the fireplace.
"All the same," Drusilla grumbled to no one in particular before closing her eyes again. "Every single scorched rider is exactly the same."

Zaira wasn't expecting. She realized that the girl didn't want to hear her voice again. Twitter a picture of her and no dragon, which made Twitter upset. She sent reassuring feelings to her flit before he sent her green the message that Zaira wasn't a dragonrider. Standing and retreating slowly, Zaira didn't want to upset the girl anymore then she already had. She sat in a vacant chair a bit back and closed her eyes all the same. Grumpy or not she was still sleepy after being reprimanded for trying to help. With a sigh of resignation, she fell asleep with Twitter curled up halfway on her chest and the other half on her crossed arms.

Dru's eyebrow twitched. The smith sat up and straddled the bench like one might a runner, ignoring the way her skirt was riding up and there were guys throughout the hall.
"Well now I can't sleep! Thanks a lot. You may as well tell me your name you know, after being so scorchin rude as to wake a decent gal up."
Her words were caustic and acerbic, but, this person across from her had been rather polite. Definately nicer than any other rider she'd met thus far, but most of them were men.

Zaira looked at the girl with a smile. Her little tanrum there was kind of funny. "I'm Zaira. I am truly sorry if I woke you. I meant no harm in it. Just trying to be friendly as I've not met very many of them here myself." She looked around from her chair and Twitter woke. Shooing him back to her room she stood and walked to Drusilla. She wanted to make friends, not enemies. She had enough of those where she was from. All the boys would never let her join in their games because she was a girl. She showed them by playing anyway and beating them. This made them dislike her more, a girl like her wasn't welcome there. It hurt the masculinity.

"I can't say I think they're worth it," Drusilla scoffed. Abby was squirming around in Drusilla's hair, making the black locks look like they were moving on their own. "Da's dyin wish was fer me to come to this scorched place. Never mind the only bloody place colder is Between."
Drusilla folded a leg under herself and pulled her skirt down a bit more to cover herself. Dammit, this girl was too close! "If I don't become a bloody rider I'm goin home before a lizard can blink."

Zaira laughed at the girl and moved back just a bit. Studying how heardbeasts moved away and how they could use body language to say if one was too close. She picked up the girl's displeasure and went to fix it. "Wouldn't it be a treat to Impress? I want a dragon of my own. We always had dragon's flying over our hold. It was a real pleasure." She smiled back at the girl again.

"They drop in at Smithcraft hall all the time," Drusilla grumbled. "They're arrogant and if they aren't old and uptight they're young and cocky, and both try to sleep with you."
She'd only ever met one she liked, a older green rider who's man had left him after a misunderstanding. He became not only the watch rider for the hold, but something of a mother figure for Dru.

"Oh I know, tell me about it~" She smiled at her probable friend. "Three of them have already tried something with me. I don't like them acting like this. Maybe when we Impress we could teach them a lesson? What do you say? Would you like to be friends?" Zaira extended a hand towards the girl, hoping she would befriend someone today. She still wasn't sure with alot of people but she was getting there. ((Sorry for the short post but this computer sucks))

Drusilla looked at the hand and furrowed her brow. Scorch it all! She'd tried to avoid this situation so she wouldn't end up missing this place. The place she already knew as well as her old home. But she couldn't stop herself from extending her own hand.
"Fine, but I think we should start planning our lessons now. After all, riders are supposed to know battle plans right?"
Drusilla's grin was something straight out of a nightmare, and coupled with her ghostly appearance and the flickering light of the fire, it made quite a sight.

((Do you not like me or is this part of the RP?...))
Zaira took the hand and when she saw Dru's face the hair on her arms stood up. She looked down at her arm after retreiving her hand and paointed towards the goosbumps. "That was a scary face. My hair is standing on end!" She complimented. It takes a good look to get her hair to stand like this.

((Part of the RP, it explains it in the profile, and It's actually really hard to write an unfriendly girl >.<))
"I've had plenty of people to practice it on back home," Drusilla smiled again, this one a bit kinder, with the smallest bit of sadness. "There's no girls at Smithcraft, not really anyways. So I had to learn how to bully the boys around and scare them real well."
Abby started climbing through Dru's hair, tugging on it a bit and getting only a little tangled before escaping with an irritated twitter. "Abby's been biting most of the ones who hit on me, but I keep getting in trouble for it."

Zaira looked at her little green and smiled. "This little one keeps bringing me guys with flits themselves. I've had three guys ask me out just on the way over here." She smiled at the memory of her "escorts" and their trip here. "I really would like someone though. You know, a guy who likes me for me." She smiled at the idea that there might be someone like that around here for her.

"If the two of us impress, the scorchin chances of that happening will be nothin but dust in the wind," Dru scoffed. "Even less chance if you or me gets the queen, not a shardin choice during flight."
Dru just wanted someone to treat her as an equal, that was all, someone who wouldn't talk down to her because she was a girl. Hell, her partner didn't even have to be her age so long as they were decent.
