Hmm, we're allowed to talk about any book we love (of quality and not Twilight)? Well, then I'd like to talk about my favorite book, Wicked. mrgreen It's an amazing story, pretty dark, and it really makes you think. The musical's nice, too, but I love the book beyond what words can describe. Actually, if it wasn't for a field trip to see the musical, I might never have fallen in love with the book. lol The sequels (Son of a Witch and A Lion Among Men) are nothing to sneeze at, either.
(and of course, I can't wait for EA's book to drop.)

It's one of Leo's favorite books. ^^ She read it when she was little because her dad checked it out form the library, and she didn't understand most of it, but she read it again recently and loved it. She also loves most of the songs from the musical, but hasn't actually seen it.

I haven't read it yet. I have this list of books I want to read and I can feel them all staring at me. Mocking me. It's rather frightening really.
I did get to see the musical when it came out because it was my cousin's (whose entire family is much better off than mine) birthday.

YOU HAVE TO READ IT! lol It's so amazing... (and kinda for adults-only)
If Leo understood all of Wicked when she was younger, I would worry about Leo's over exposure to sexual things. lol The musical's amazing. It's the very first one I ever saw (including ones on movies... unless you count movies with music as musicals, then it was Disney that took my musical virginity.)

I know, I really must reads it. I think there's a copy in my basement, but I get really freaked out about reading a book that's as popular as Wicked has gotten, for fear that I'll be disappointed.
The musical really is excellent. I just wish I had been able to see it with Kristen Chenoweth and Indina Mendzel, since they're both incredible.

It depends on what you want in a book. Wicked is political, semi-religious (main character being atheist), very dark, sexual, philosophical, etc. It's very different from the musical. VERY VERY different. Many of the main points are the same though
SPOILER-ish vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv (main characters, romance between Elphie and Fyero, Elphie and Glinda friendship, Dr. Dilamond, the Wizard=evil, etc)
not happy ending ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ SPOILER-ish

Yeah...Leo was quite the naive (always takes her 3-4 tries to spell that word) child, up until about....This year. xD Surprising, seeing as her dad at least, never saw any reason to NOT tell her stuff as long as she asked. Which she just didn't. ^^

(this was in a daycare, too) *eating something with peas* I hate all of this peanous! (sounds like p***s) Idk how my parents are on that cause I don't talk about anything in anyway related to sex with them.

cherry god mother i'm slightly wary of the musical. i'm scared it'll ruin the book and be all romantic and crap >_< The musical's not too romantic, but I may just think that because I like romance. It is much happier, and the ending's different, but I really enjoyed it when I saw it, and the songs are amazing. Everyone's relationships are much different, but it's still fantastic. By the bye, I finished the boook yesterday, and though it was fantastic!
