It was a beautiful morning. The morning sun shone a pleasant warm light onto the early birds, and the real birds were singing their hearts out, welcoming the new day. Despite this, the pleasant environment wasn't noticeable for Katsumi. His mind blurred as he rummaged his sleeves, looking for his wallet. Did he drop it? Did someone steal it? Whatever the problem was, he had to look for it. Fast. It wasn't the first time losing the wallet, and he knew what happens every time he uses a wallet. Work, work, work, work, and more work. He never even had real work. It was usually part time jobs in inns and markets. Besides, he really needed to get a home. It had been months since he slept outside. The only time he managed to sleep indoors was when he had enough money to rent a room in an inn. For a single day, that is.

Katsumi started to trace his steps. He looked at the ground as he walked, and stopped to look closely every 5 steps he took. He sighed as he reached the spot where he went to sleep last night. There was no wallet, let alone his. Maybe someone picked it up? After a few minutes of thinking, tears welled up in his eyes, but he wiped them off as he realised that he should be looking for the wallet or trying to earn money again, not feeling sorry for himself and crying like a girl. It wasn't the first time he lost a wallet, after all.

He decided to look for it more closely. Katsumi tried to harass himself to give himself more motivation. "If I don't find it this time, I'm screwed, and I'll have to work my butt off. Again. And I'll have to live outdoors longer. Yeah that's it." He stood silent for a moment. It was useless. In fact, it made him feel more pessimistic. Just a bit. "Well, I should get to work." Katsumi started to walk up and down the streets with his eyes peeled. As he turned a corner, he slightly ran into someone. Thankfully, it was light and it could have been much worse. He bumped into.. a woman, perhaps, considering the size of the person. He was too busy looking at the ground to be looking at where he was going. "Whoops, sorry miss. I wasn't exactly looking at where I was heading."

Chiharu had been wandering the streets for the past hour. It was one of her seldom days off and she vowed to actually do something worthwhile today, but of course, like usual she had nothing to do, she really needed to find something to do with her "life" besides work and wandering around. Maybe she could take on drinking beer like many of her friends... She sighed and tossed that thought aside, she wasn't much of a drinker so that'd be a waste of time, effort, and money, even though she really had all the time in the world to spare. While she was on the topic of money she decided to look in her wallet to decide if she could spend the morning watching a play or something of the sort.

So it seemed she had the money, now she needed to find the entertainment, that would probably prove to be the hardest challenge of all. Really, could finding something to do truly be that hard she thought to herself after circling certain streets over again. It was peculiar, but she remembered seeing a wallet on one of the streets she'd passed. She hadn't really been paying much attention, so it could've just been a trick of the light. Either way she figured since she couldn't find something to do she'd look for the wallet. It was something to do, right?

Meandering through the streets again, whilst retracing her steps she stopped by a small bush. The wallet didn't seem to be there. She sighed and leaned down and decided she'd look through the bush before giving up. After parting many leaves she finally saw it. A flash of leather amongst the green. With a triumphant grin she picked up the wallet. Huh, well now she'd definitely found something to do, she'd find the owner of this wallet. Keeping an eye on the wallet she'd found she walked forward to no where in particular when... Crash.

'Whoops, sorry miss. I wasn't exactly looking at where I was heading.'

What was up with him and bumping into people? He seemed to do that about twice a week. Along with losing wallets, that is. The person he bumped into was indeed a girl, after all. She had ebony black hair clipped up, and had clear blue eyes. Her body had a slender build, and she stood just shorter than five foot and a half tall. Katsumi, being at least six feet and ten inches tall, looked down at her and wondered if she saw his wallet somewhere.

Before he attempted to ask if she'd seen a wallet somewhere, he thought it'd be rude not to ask if she was alright. His apology was also very brief, after all. "U-uh.. a-are you alright?" He fell silent as he couldn't think of anything to say that sounded apologetic. thought for a moment and recollected his thoughts. He needed immediate help with looking for the wallet, and she looked like a perfect person to ask for help. Actually, she was the only person he could ask for help. "May I ask for a little favor?" Before the girl could even answer, he started to speak again as he remembered something. "Oh, I apologise. I guess I'll introduce myself first. My name's Fujimoto Katsumi, and well.. " He fiddled with his fingers and turned a bit red as he felt a light pang of embarassment. "I-I just happened to lose my wallet while I was taking a stride just now." The 'just now' part was a lie; he lost it at least two hours ago, but he decided to keep that to himself, since he had a theory that looking for a wallet for two hours straight but not being able to find it was somewhat stupid rather than unfortunate.

"So.. did you happen to see it anywhere? It's made out of leather and.. and.." He couldn't think straight. He couldn't even talk properly since he even started to talk to the girl because of his mixed emotion of panic and embarassment. "A-anyway, have you seen it? Anywhere? At all?"

"Mm, yeah, it's alright, my fault for not watching where I was going.", she admitted sheepishly ruffling her hand through her hair. The first thing she noticed about someone usually wasn't their appearance, but for him it was a whole 'nother story. Maybe she was just exaggerating, but he seemed a lot taller than her, she soon found that she had to stand up a little higher and look up to see him. This would be troublesome indeed.

She mulled over helping him or not, she wasn't sure if he was like that man and not appreciate her help at all, but he seemed nice enough... Of course they all did. "Ah, Katsumi-kun, I'm Fujiyomi Chiharu.", she replied in turn. Wallet wallet wallet. Ah yes! That's when she remembered her most recent task of finding the owner of the wallet she'd found. It was a shame that the search couldn't have lasted longer though, considering that it had been her only thing to do for the day. Ah why was she so pessimistic these days?

"Could this be it?", she wondered aloud holding her hands more or less up for him to see clearly.

"Oh?" Katsumi leaned down to look at the wallet closely, as if he couldn't believe his eyes. He gently took it out of Chinaru's hand and continued to examine it closely. After the long observation, he opened it and counted the money inside.

First he stayed silent;
Then his eyes widened and started to shine.
"I-I can't believe it.." He looked as if he was about to cry tears of joy any second. "You really found it! You really did! I-it's the first time I managed to get both my wallet and my money back! Thank you very much!" He bowed with the wallet clasped in his hands. It was quite a sight; a freakishly tall guy was bending his waist 90 degrees toward a young lady. He wasn't exactly the type of guy to thank people with all his heart, but this was an exception. He just escaped another few weeks of hard work, after all.

After the bow, Katsumi cleared his throat as he started to feel embarassed at his sudden act. "I'm sorry, I got a bit excited because I was in trouble before you gave me this wallet." He laughed a bit, trying to get rid of the embarassment. "How will I ever repay you? Looks like I owe you a big one, Fujiyomi-san."

Chiharu was glad to see that she'd found the owner. That had been much faster than she'd originally anticipated, even though it was a bit of a shame to her she was glad that she hadn't made Katsumi-kun worry about the matter for too long though.

She was a little puzzled at his words at first, but she put the pieces together with ease. It was hard to imagine someone losing their wallet frequently it'd be much of a hassle for sure. "Uh, you're welcome~", she replied with a smile ruffling her hand through her hair again slightly embarrassed at his enthusiastic gratitude. She did, admittedly have to take a small step back when he bowed though, the chances of his hitting her on the bow were pretty slim, but it was merely out of caution that she did it.

"Oh no!", she replied shaking her hands in front of her as if to exaggerate her point. "You don't need to pay me back for it, I'm just glad I could find its owner this fast is all!", she replied with a weak chuckle.

Oh this was turning out to be quite a day.
