Teita was still reeling from the near fatal mishap encounter with the blue she-wolf. She wanted her? Being taken from her mother and brothers and sister was NOT on Teita's plans, nor would it ever be anytime soon. Hopefully it wasn't on her siblings' minds either.

In fact, maybe it was time for Teita to make sure of this. Xavi would definitely be the best to check first. After all he had been near her and she loved Xavi. He was great fun, even though it both saddened and amused her to see her brother in the mud so much. Though she didn't mind the mud, I mean Xavi had a smart mind. It kept the sun glare from getting in the way of their hunts and so forth. It even masked smell!

Teita peered around the den, and caught sight of Xavi. He'd been pretty close lately. Maybe it was because of the she-wolf? She padded closer, tail-wagging.

"Xavi!" She cried. "Let's go somewhere!"

Teita grinned at her brother. Hehe, he was in the mud like she thought. It was pretty hot right now. Maybe she'd do the same. It would certainly be a good way to cool off.

"Ne, xavi share some mud." Teita wiggled around a bit around xavi, catching mud on her fur.

She peered at his one eye opened, wondering if he was imitating mother.

Oh well.

"What about... the dunes? Or meeting the beta or Piper? Or maybe of the older pups?"

Teita got dusty and shook her head a bit. There was water nearby, and no where near as far as the dunes right?

"Well then why not we find that nearby water source. Roll in the mud there. Then come back here near the dens and meet other wolves?"

Teita wiggled in her paws, tail kicking up dirt into the air. She wanted to nudge and push Xavi out of watching the clouds. After all, she was his little sister? Was she that... boring? She almost visibly drooped. Though, Xavi didn't do much of the active things she always wanted to do. Oh well.

She scrambled up to a position where all four of her paws were ready to lead the way. "Sure why not?"

She peered at the ground, around them, and at the sky. Now where to? Teita pulled her nose up, sniffed all over. Hrmmm.... dirt dirt and more dirt. Where was the cleanness? The water? There!

Teita quickly padded in that direction, yelping "C'mon Xavi this way!" Though she did take it pretty slowly. She wouldn't run, and this certainly didn't even compare to a trot. Slow and steady was fine here. She looked back just in case, to make sure her brother was following.

Swaying with a playful air, Teita was all to aware of how much of a slothful brother Xavi was. But really, was that too bad? He was her brother and was great fun when it was the point of it all. She was so glad he had followed her, she might've had to do something like guilt trip him. That wouldn't be so fun.

Teita came back to reality when she heard her brother's half-eager,but for him it was full of excitement shout. Eeeeh mud! Her brother seemed to have just the nose and scent distinguisher for it. She pounced into the mud, curling around in it and twisting back and forth for a nice layer of the mud to coat her fur.

She got up and eyed Xavi. "Cooler now right?" She wagged her tail, flinging about bits of mud everywhere. "Let's go somewhere and this time you lead!"

Teita laughed, and chirped, "Sorry Xavi!" She hadn't meant to actually hit him with mud... though it was mud and they were already covered in it anyhow.

Teita wasn't quite sure this was a good direct, direct way to go. Wasn't this Piper's den? Also known as the ALPHA's den? She could kick their little puppy butts back to the dunes.. isn't that so? But Xavi wanted to go there she assumed. To be perfectly honest, Teita was a bit afraid of the prospect of meeting the alpha in her own den. Meeting her outside, communal area, sure. She'd probably get Piper to tell her kids to play or hunt.. or get her mother's kids or something. But this was the alpha's turf. The alpha's den. It scared Teita out of her fur.

"Er... Xavi you sure we be ok going this direction?"

Though maybe Teita could show something, to prove herself... to her brothers and the pack. She wasn't such a weakling to let a failed pupnapping get to her!

The alpha she-wolf was a large beast with just a hint of femininity with the chiseled muzzle and forehead. Her legs were long and thick and her tail coiled up over her back like a husky's might, even as she snoozed on and off.

Her puppies were half-grown now. Moscow was big and burly and Swell was only slightly smaller than her brother. Squall had been stolen away from her, and even after several months, it ached. She tried her best not to think of him. She wondered how Rumor was doing in the lands of the Reign of Terror. She hoped the spunky little female was holding her own. And, deep down, she hoped that Rumor remembered her...

Her nose twitched as the scents around the den changed. One brown eye peeled open, giving a quick search and finding two of that new wolf's -- Kuro or something, wasn't that her name? -- mud-coated pups looking around. Slowly she stood and stalked right towards them, wondering if she should make them jump a little before sending them in the right direction.

"Lo there." Her eyes flashed.

He huddled there next to Teita, gazing up at the alpha -- she was a much larger wolf than he gave her credit for. He was expecting someone the size of their mother, Kurosage, not this monster of a female... Suddenly, his belly flipped and he wished he'd thought this over first. "Can Squall come out and play?" His voice shook slightly.

Piper had intended on startling them to flock back to their mother; they were mere pups afterall. Instead, she had to hold a sneer back, placing instead a forced smile upon her maw. Squall... Hurricane's twisted twin had taken him; the den had reeked of the insane male. Taken him right out from under her. Her lips twisted up after a moment. "No." She said simply. "I suggest you turn around and go back home."

Xavi's heart fell. He found that he'd really wanted to see the older boy again, feel the pitterpatter of his heart in his chest when Squall looked at him. He took a deep breath. "Maybe...you could take us on a hunt? You know, we could prove ourselves worthy of being in your pack?" He sounded hopeful and glanced at Teita, a smile playing on his lips. He himself wasn't much for running and chasing, but he figured she'd adore it.
