I'm rereading a book called Case for Faith by Lee Strobel....One of the sentences makes no sense to me. I was just wondering if someone could help me make sense of it, or rephrase it in laymen's terms....? sweatdrop
"No one will go to hell simply because all they needed was a little more time to turn toward God."
I don't know why it doesn't make sense to me.... sweatdrop

This belongs in the media discussion subforum- once you've replied to this, I'll move it and, if it hasn't been answered by then, I'll see if I can clarify. 3nodding

Okay, and now to answer your question.
Without knowing the rest of the context, it seems like the sentence is simply saying that not having enough time to toward to God won't be something that would get a person sent to Hell- that there would need to be more in order for a person's soul to be condemned.
It was a horribly worded sentence- his editor should have caught that. sweatdrop

I think it means that everyone's going to get chances to hear about God in theirs lives. There's never going to be a person who goes to he'll who has never had the oppoirtunity to go to God. Hope that helps! smile
