Sorry im still a rookie breeder Ive been trying to figure out training I think I understand but I have one question. Are evs only in platinum?

I'm asking this because when I do keep battling for See evs they don't show up when I lv up.

different pokemon give out different ev's and in different amounts;if your pokemon gains four ev's in a certain stat,then it will increase by one in the real stat;if not,then your pokemon's level may be too low...

EVs have been in every game since Gold and Silver. They are hidden values, and as such, you will not see them. The closest you can come to this is if you EV train a high level Pokémon, which would result in huge stat gains each level up (like +63 to attack instead of the usual +2). If you're EV training a low-level Pokémon, the stat gains are more spread out, so they look like the normal +4 or so.
Personally, I do all of my breeding and EV training in Diamond. 3nodding
