The Whole Story (Not so much an intro as a general idea of the story)Mother Earth has watched over humanity since its birth so many years ago. She has even blessed humanity and allowed humans to evolve and grow into what we are today. One blessing drew from the energy of the Earth itself, by todays terms and even back then it was and always has been called magic. Magic however has changed from what it used to be. For instance, those blessed with it were able to use it however and whenever they saw fit but one problem with humanity is that it becomes greedy. Use of magic and constant draining from the energy of the Earth resulted in the release of something dark and very dangerous. Much in the same way the moon waxes and wains, so does the field of magic.
The result of one waxing and the amount of magic that had been consumed resulted in the creation of what history would record as 'mythical creatures' most of which are used and seen in fantasy stories of today. These creatures were made of magic users who had gone too far and become something dark and sinister. The most dangerous of these creatures was a demon named Mephisto who was said to be more powerful then anything ever seen and a creature born out of the darkness of the magic users hearts. While things looked bleak for humanity, salvation was found during a time known as the middle ages. A group of magic users who had studied various methods of exorsisim(priests and monks) created what would be known as a Voco Pecto in the language of magic or Summoning Card in English. By using these cards, they drew out the magic that bewitched these people and sealed it away where it could no longer do any harm. Thousands of cards were eventually collected and sealed away where none could disturb them.
Mephisto himself was sealed, although it took many lives and one of the most powerful Summoning Card created to do it. When it was finally over and the last card sealed away, everyone who was left who knew the secrets felt it would be safe... They were wrong. Mephisto was a creation that reflected Mother Earths true wrath to the abuse of the first magic users and at the time of his sealing, magic was waining and as a result Mephisto lost some of his powers and as it would turn out, the card was not strong enough to handle Mephisto and as the years passed and the waxing began Mephisto began to stir. He broke free from his card and was ready to seek his revenge on those who had sealed him away. His cards however that had been sealed along with him were gone, for many years ago treasure hunters came upon the cards and treating them as artworks sold them for money and the cards were lost among the millions of people all around the world.
Magic users who continued to survive although far weaker then their ancestors, were able to come upon some of the cards while many remained lost. Mephisto was left without anyone to command and his powers, while strong greatly weakened from not only his fight before he was sealed but with the cycle of waxing and waining only just starting to take effect he had little choice to bide his time and wait until his strength returned....
Using his own powers, he began to enchant people and make them his loyal followers, and one by one, people with magical abilities began to disappear. He was eliminating threats while he recovered and while people rose up to try and stop him, their magic had been so weakened over the years many were all but powerless... The only thing they had to fight with were the cards of old, but many of those had been lost... The way to beat Mephisto would be to gather these cards and use them against him... before it was to late......

Character Bio's Characters (In alphabetical order)Abel (Abby) MaxwellAge: 18 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Appearance: AbbyPersonality: Abel is the kind of guy that is caring to all of the people who are close to him. He is usually always a happy go lucky kind of guy and tries his best to not judge people by their covers. Abby is quite quirky and would do anything to protect his little brother and Adrian. Card Collection: Atrum Extraho (Dark Dragon), Adrian (Addy) HollandAge: 18 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Appearance: Addy Personality: Adrian is twelve. That’s all there is to his personality. He looks eighteen but acts like a very large and mature kid. He hates anything serious and constantly tries to distract people from serious situations which can get annoying but on the flip side he helps when people are fighting by teasing them both and switching the focus of anger to himself. He’s generally seen as nasty because of the comments he makes but anyone who take Addy seriously needs to get the stick out of their a**. She’s rude, crude and very obnoxious. She wouldn’t understand subtlety if it beat her in the face with a six foot pole. She loves to beat on the boys. Even the older two. Although that’s the case it definitely doesn’t mean she’s not a woman. There isn’t a more feminist person in the world. If you start using the excuse “because you’re a girl” around her, you’d best make sure your affairs are in order. She’s very blunt and holds nothing back. Episode One "A Destiny Unfolds" The chirping of birds and the sun shining through a window brought life to a room that was full of things that you'd expect any geek to have. A video game consol, posters of different things, anime and manga collections, and a stack of books on multiple topics and clothes everywhere.
Kai was snuggled in his bed when his alarm suddenly started to beep and he nearly jumped out of his skin as he was woken up and fell out of the bed and hit the floor with a thud. "Ouch!" Kai groaned as he sat up and held his side with one hand and hit his alarm with the other. "Man... that thing is far to loud." Looking at the time through sleep filled eyes he froze and then suddenly crawled over to the clock and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "6:00! OH crap I'm going to be late!" The sounds from kai's room were noisy and from below an old man grumbled and using his cane hit the roof.
"Quiet I'm trying to watch my stories!" Kai and Abel's grandpa yelled as he coughed a bit and turned up the TV.
Kai was out the door and into the bathroom half dressed and started to brush his teeth as he tried to finish dressing for school. After a spalsh of water on the face and cleaning out his mouth he was out the door and started down the stairs. He promtly tripped and hit the landing, although thankfully he had only a few steps to go and wasn't seriously hurt.
"Dang it boy! No running on the stair.."
"Sorry grandpa! I'm running late!" Kai got up and was into the kitchen and into the fridge. Grabbing the bread and butter he got a few slices into the toaster and turned on the stone as he grabbed for a pan and placed it on the burner and reached for the cooking oil. He poured a bit in, put it back and went to the fridge for some eggs and on the way grabbed a pot and some rice and began to fill that with water.
"Crap crap crap! I have to finish breakfast before Abel wakes up... come on, come on!"
"I said quiet!" Grandpa yelled.
Kai soon had food on the table and his own food, the toast, in his mouth and he was already heading for the door as the clock hit 7:00. "Crap, I can't miss the bus!" Kai grabbed his bag and headed for the door. "Cya after school grandpa, and try not to beat on Abel to much ok? Breakfast is on the table for ya!" With that he was out the door.
Grandpa grumbled as he got up and used his cane to walk to the kitchen. "Fine boy... to noisy though..." Grandpa glared as he looked up the stairs and saw Abel's door closed. "Good for nothing moocher! Least his brother does things besides bake!" Grandpa walked into the kitchen and nearly passed out at the mess Kai left behind in his rush to leave. "Oh brother... These kids.. no.. manners..."

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ ‡‡ Abel ‡‡ Maxwell ‡‡ ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ Abel who had woken up with all the yelling but, he was still trying to sleep and so he rolled over onto his side. He still had his tiger plushie that had been given to him by Adrian when they had first started to date. The name that had been given to him was Jeff but, he just couldn't bare to change it. He squeezed Jeff in his arms as he tried to get a few more minutes of shut eye as Kai left for school. As he heard his little brother leave the house and close the door behind him he let his eyes open slowly. Looking at the clock in his room he let out a sigh as he rolled onto his back once again. "Have a good day Kai." Abel said quietly as he got up out of bed but, left Jeff behind.
The day for him started in the same routine as usual. After getting out of bed he had a nice long shower with the added bonus of his wonderful singing voice. At least to him it sounded that way. The next step was to get dressed, luckily Kai was always ahead with the laundry. That let him always have something to wear, if it was up to him though, he'd never change his clothes. As he finished getting dressed Abel brushed his teeth and did various other beautification processes, it was finally time to head downstairs.
Abel like most days was quite lazy during the mornings and so he casually made it down the stairs. Upon reaching the kitchen he saw the mess that usually was left by Kai. Ignoring it he saw his grandfathers empty plate and then looked at his now cold meal. He didn't really make too much of a fuss as he reheated it while working on a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. It wouldn't be the first batch made that day but, it was at least a decent start. It was really surprising that he wasn't the size of a whale from all the calories he usually consumed.
Hearing the beeping on the microwave he took his food back to the table and made sure he ate all of the food that was prepared for him. As usual he ate his food much too fast and ended up having a coughing fit. His eyes watered slightly from almost choking to death. Quickly he got up and went into the fridge to pour himself a glass of apple juice. He grumbled slightly once he stopped coughing. "That was close." Abel said with a smile as he was clearly overreacting because, he wasn't even close to dying. ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ ‡‡ "Eat the cookie or I'll force it down your throat!" ‡‡ ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════

Grandpa's cane came down on Abel's head with a rather loud crack. "Moocher.... glad to see your up finally... you never say good by to that brother of yours who works so hard, the least you can do is wake up to see him off.... and get a job... and find a woman not some idiot guy." Grandpa mumbled the last two parts as he walked to the fridge to get something. "You do nothing around here.... oh but then theres baking! I have to watch my blood pressure and sugar levels! Good for nothing..." Grandpa grumbled and mumbled as he opened the fridge to find something to drink.
(remember not everything will be super big sometimes)

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ ‡‡ Abel ‡‡ Maxwell ‡‡ ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ Abel had been drinking the rest of his apple juice when he got hit on the head with the cane. He once again had a coughing fit as he almost choked to death on the apple juice as he hit the ground like a ton of bricks. A bump appeared on his head as held his head in pain and whined about it. "I may be a moocher and I may be lazy but, I always say goodbye to Kai. The both of you just don't hear it is all. I would see him off but, I need my sleep." He said quietly while tapping his two index fingers together and looking down.
"I love Addy though, I don't want some ugly and unattractive woman, you should know that by now Gramps. Maybe you're just getting too o-" His eyes looked toward the oven as the timer went off with a ding. "Ooh... cookies are done." Abel quickly got to his feet and opened the oven. He put his oven mitts on which just happened to be pink with cute black kittens on them. Taking out the tray of cookies he kicked the door shut and placed the cookies on the counter. "Anyways, maybe you're getting to old." мα¢κ ♆ яσωαη ♆ α∂яιαη Addy got up out of his bed and smiled. It was time to go and invade Abby’s house, maybe tease Kai while he was at it. He got up and got dressed looking at the time as he passed a clock. Cookies are done. he thought smiling. They always were at this time. Adrian quickly got himself ready; brushing his teeth and hair, showering and getting dress, - noticing he needed to do laundry. It was time to go give everyone at the Maxwell house the wonderful gift of his presence. They lived two houses away so Addy spent most of his time there anyway.
Without waking anyone in his house Addy closed the front door and took off down the road. He saw the bus and Kai. What luck! Something he could cross off his daily list. Adrian was still pretty far away but instead of walking up to Kai to greet him he yelled so everyone could hear him. “Hey cutie! Sure you don’t want me to ditch your brother for you?!” he made sure people could hear him and was hoping to be rewarded with a bright blush from Kai. He didn’t know if his reward would come or not yet though.

A cane whizzed over Abel's head and it was clear Grandpa had missed on purpose when he swung it. "Don't you get on me for being old and its people like you who bring an end to bloodlines! Aside from Kai.. our family has no one else to carry on our name and history! I refuse to let that happen.... If you were a normal person you'd have already had a child.." Way off, thinking about how things were back then before all this modern stuff happened. "Regardless.. I am not going to let the family die because of some idiot such as yourself!" Grandpa turned and began to walk away. "You need a job you moocher!"
Kai froze and went bright red. He wasn't into that stuff but he hated when Adrian and Abel took it out on him and it always weirded him out. Getting the reward he wanted, Kai started to walk keeping himself as 'hidden' as he could. "Stupid Adrian.. thats just... wrong..." Reaching the bus stop Kai was left feeling like he wanted to just up and disappear.

He was glad when it sailed over his head and he let out a sigh in relief. His head, even though it was hard, really wasn't used to that damn cane yet. It was scary. Abel grumbled a bit as his grandpa went on about continuing the bloodline, that was what he was more worried about. For him though, he just wanted to be happy while they all still had a chance. That card would really come back to haunt him, it just depended on when. "Well you're not getting any younger and why does it matter what I do when Kai should be able to carry on the bloodline? I'm pretty sure Addy and I scare him away from our lifestyle, so you should be happy about that."
He looked down at the ground slightly hearing the same old conversation that seemed to take place every morning. "I'm pretty sure Kai will find somebody in the future, though, I just want the boy to be happy and not have to deal with those damn cards." His eyes watched as his grandpa walked away leaving him with his usual, 'get a job' saying. "Maybe I will, just it's too sunny outside is all." Abel sighed a bit as he went over to his cookie and after removing his oven mitts he took the closest still hot cookie. As he took a bite he sat down and whined slightly about his current mood. Once again he was in an annoyed mood thanks to his grandpa. Addy smiled giddily as he saw the bright crimson of Kai’s face. “So adorable! I could just eat him up!” He whispered quietly to himself and then gave the idea some serious thought. Adrian figured that Abby’s reaction wouldn’t be too happy and that made him reconsider. Thinking of Abby made Addy’s stomach growl. “Oh yeah. Cookies time.” Adrian smiled and skipped down the rest of the street watching Kai trying to stay out of people’s sight. It really was adorable.
Adrian reached the door and without knocking walked right in. “Abby, I’m home!” He called loudly and cheerily, walking straight the kitchen and shutting the door behind him. He came in to a very long faced Abby and frowned momentarily. “Okay, Senor Sourpuss, what’s wrong today?” Addy walked by grabbing a cookie throwing an arm around Abby’s shoulders. He didn’t like Abel being sad. It bothered Adrian deeply that someone who loved to laugh as much as him frowned.

It made him glad that he was there but, he was still gloomy about his daily fight with his grandfather. Looking toward the other boy he couldn't help smiling as he finished the last of his cookie and swollowed it before replying. "Oh, it's the usual thing with gramps, he's just never gonna understand our bond Adrian." Abby looked up at him his eyes clearly showing he was close to tears. He couldn't help himself and he leaped up and hugged Addy tightly around the neck. "Though, I'm feeling much better just having you here Addy. You always have that effect on me." It made him feel much better with Adrian there and he seemed to change from sad to happy, like a flip of a switch.
Abel smiled happily as he had Adrian in his arms once again. He really was the only one for him, they were quite similar and could always cheer each other up just be being nearby. "I really don't know what I'd do without you, I certainly wouldn't be able to deal with him but, then again if you weren't here he never would have found out about me, so I guess it kinda works better this way." A light chuckle came from his mouth as his mood had completely changed. "I already feel better, anyways, how are the cookies, I have to say that I'm getting even better at this baking. Oh, and did you embarrass him like you usually do? Kai really complains about it but, at least we can keep him straight that way." Abel was like a new person and it was good that he was talking like his normal hyperactive self. Addy smiled as he was hugged tight around the neck. Abby has to be bipolar. Then he voiced the thought. “Abs. You have got to be bipolar. That was from sourpuss to mister happy dance in three seconds flat.” Then he threw the remaining three fourths of cookie in his mouth chewed twice and swallowed. Adrian himself was amazed he didn’t choke but he was lucky. “Cookies are great and yes I did ‘tease’ him. He’s just so cute when he blushes. I always have to give serious thought about stealing him away. I usually end up thinking about you though. So what’s on the agenda for the day love?”
Addy reached for another cookie and nibbled on it while waiting for Abby’s answer. He hoped it had something to do with going downtown and bugging people. That was always a favorite of Adrian’s. He was even better teasing straight guys the way he teased Kai. Although he did get into a few fights from it. Maybe I can talk him into going to Kai’s school to pick him up then I can tease a whole bunch of little kids. What fun! Adrian ate his cookie and kept his arm around Abby.
