I don't really quite know how to vote. On the one hand, he is doing his best to be active. On the other hand, I don't really see him taking the initiative to do anything. And Majora's Mask is a big name to live up to.
Also, reading his application, I don't think he knows what he's doing. "I would like to apply for Majora's Mask" would have been great, but when you add that last part "or an application for Majora's Mask." it becomes disturbing. It tells me that he can read, but he doesn't know how to comprehend what he's reading. I know the character post says sendi n your application. But I also know that Midna's application was there for reference. And, Zelda says that he asked a lot of question and even postponed applying until he can get more active.
1) It's great he was asking questions. (assuming that he's asking questions regarding whether or not he can apply for Majora's Mask because he's not listed and not because he didn't know how to apply)
2) Midna's application was on the same subforum. Using that as reference, he would have known that he didn't need to tell us it is an application because...
3) We know it's an application, he doesn't need to tell us what it is.
4) Midna posted a lot when she first joined, not just on existing ones, but also created new posts for people to discuss and talk in. She also joined up in the Dress Up Link event right away. When Darius joined, he started a thread or two and posted on older threads. When the Dress Up Link event came up (he was too late to join even if he wanted to), he was very active in cheering on his fellow guild members. Other than posting in already existing threads, pocokid has not taken any initiative. For example...
5) When asked by Zelda to help with Dark Link's backstory (see discussions: Theories: Dark Link), he replied with "well i would do that but im not really a person who likes to write and it would probably take me several weeks or so to get a story
but if maybe you ask gogetthem..... "
So, not only does he not want to put forth an effort into helping out for fun, he even points out someone else. That implied to me that he's okay being a dead weight for the guild, reaping the rewards of the community, but not wanting anything to do with having to work for it.
I guess, all in all, my vote at this moment for him to become Majora's Mask would be a big no. But I do believe he should apply for another character like maybe Barinade. Not that Barinade's less than Majora's Mask in anyway, but I think maybe pocokid applied for Majora's Mask since he was the last boss of the game and, at first glance, people would think he had power than if people saw him as Barinade.
I think it needs to be explained to him that someone like Aryll is just as important and, sometimes, have even more power than Link or Zelda. Someone like Malon is very crucial to the guild. That Zant is not any better than Twinrova. I hope he'll be able to understand the intricate balance between everyone in the guild being equal and holding a character position as a privilege.
