These are seriously the best I've ever had....even better than my moms (she even admitted it) The dough is really ooey-gooey but they turn out amazing....
Can't take credit though; got it from recipezaar
Dough
* 3 1/2 cups flour * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda * 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar * 1/2 cup butter * 1/2 cup shortening * 2 cups granulated sugar * 2 eggs * 1/4 cup milk * 1 teaspoon vanilla
Topping
* 3 tablespoons sugar * 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
For the dough:.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in the dry ingredients.
Form the dough into 1 inch balls. Place on a greased baking sheet and flatten.
For the topping:.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle the top of the cookie before baking.
Bake 8 minutes or until cooked through.
P.S. I didn't follow exactly; refrigerated dough for 2 hours, and rolled them in cinnamon-sugar mixture. They turned out better this way. 8 mins is perfect; no more no less time

If you add a 1/2 cup of shortening to anything it'll turn out good! *laughs!* I'll have to try this one, this is one of my favorite cookies.
