Does the Skittles Fish give out any gold or is it just a cute gimmick taking up room in your tank?

Where are people getting the Skittles fish from? I see them in the market, but are they giving them away somewhere? EDIT: I found it. They're giving them away for watching the skittles video on the skittles profile page. Skittles profile As usual, you can get up to 3 for free.

People are saying that the skittles fish trigger for booty grab. Haven't had that happen for me yet, but I really wonder about these fish.
They don't have any description - not even a lifespan. Maybe Gaia will add that tomorrow or something, but it's rather strange. So far all fish have had a clearly stated lifespan.
Now we need the rest of the info about these new fish. Preferences, trigger rate, coin drops, etc, etc. New stuff on Gaia sure is coming fast and furious this summer. Seems like there's something new every day.

kenny_zaraki Huh, last time I looked at them on the MP it said their lifespan was a week. =| maybe they'll get an increase? That's strange. When I looked them up in the market it said nothing about their lifespan. And when I added them to another mule aquarium and opened their "info sheet" it said nothing about lifespan there either. Hopefully they'll live more than a week! That's ridiculous.

I think the Skittles Fish are a low trigger like Cuttlefish, but they seem to drop a bit more gold. Not a great booty grab fish - but that's hardly surprising since they're free.
Hopefully they'll start dropping them like the hermit cats during booty grab. It would be nice to get a variety of fish from booty grab - even cheap ones like Goldfish, Cuttlefish, Arrowfish & of course Skittles. If they'd like to be more generous than that - fine. I'd love to see some variety that's all.
I also think that aquarium items should show up in the Daily Chance at least as often as House items. That would help drop the overly inflated price of aquarium items (finally) so people could have more fun decorating their tanks! biggrin
