Appearance: Os’kel is a tall and dark young man. On the Hatching Sands, he towered above most of the other candidates, standing just above 6’2”. He has built up lean muscle both working in the hold fields and during his past months at the Weyr. His eyes are bright and wide-set with thick lashes, giving youth and softness to his visage. The rectangular shape of his face is counter-acted by the waves of his shoulder-length black hair. His tanned skin is smooth and has yet to be marred by anything graver than the many trivial scrapes and scratches gleaned over his years of work.
Personality: Before Impression, Os’kel was a phlegmatic young man, though his heart always yearned for adventure and discovery. Now his emotions have loosened and he opened himself to express his curiosity. He is affable and engaging, but has difficulty making friends. He has not let go of his deep-rooted control over his impulses and he remains conscientious when it comes to responsibility and relationships. He has the maturity to match his stature and is not perturbed by following a leader.
History: Os’kel was born the only child to a couple he never knew and brought up close to the workers of the Hold. His closest friend was a boy named Janin, who he grew up and worked alongside. Hold work monopolized most of his time and he worked eagerly, but on his breaks he would stare out into the distance.
Not long before he was Searched, he befriended a wanderer resting in the Hold. The man made and offer and his wanderlust got the better of him. He organized all the funds he had saved, plus some marks donated by Janin and he gave them to the wanderer who had sworn to bring him along. The morning they were to part the wanderer had vanished, not only taking the many marks Os’kel had offered, but also the pack the boy had readied and one of the hold’s runner beasts. Robbed blind, Os’kel could do little more than suffer through the admonishing speeches of caretaker and friend alike.
When dragonriders landed on their Search, he allowed himself to watch from afar and dream about how small the world would seem on dragonback, but said nothing. It was Janin who voiced the opinions they seemed to share, but Os’kel who was chosen. He made no motion to refuse or look back as he agreed, and on the Sands he Impressed his green with pride.

Appearance: Pomaleth is one of the larger greens, but she likes to think herself as dainty as some of her smaller sisters. Her hide is chartreuse.
Personality: She is as flighty as greens are said to be, with an excited and playful outlook on life. She has really rubbed off on her rider, as it is from her that he gained most of his personable behavior. However, unlike Os’kel, she is spontaneous and easy to shake up and that is when she needs her rider most to get her emotions back under control.
