No doubt many of you have seen the video for Final Fantasy Dissidia. Well there is a scene where Squall and Sephiroth were fighting. Now the question arises "Is a regular member of SEED as good as a superpowered Solider Member?"

There's a lot of things wrong with that....but we have to remember that Squall is a main character here so any/all common sense is tossed out. If regular members of SeeD were like Squall, then we'd have something to talk about.
Also, we have to remember that Sephiroth is considered a cut above SOLDIER....yet he still gets beat by Cloud who was never even 1st class.
It's really all about training. XD

I think SeeD can be as strong as Soldiers because they have been trained Mentally and Physically since a very young age. So I would think a SeeD at an A rank could go toe to toe with a 1st class Soldier.

Kazuma Ishimaru There's a lot of things wrong with that....but we have to remember that Squall is a main character here so any/all common sense is tossed out. If regular members of SeeD were like Squall, then we'd have something to talk about. Also, we have to remember that Sephiroth is considered a cut above SOLDIER....yet he still gets beat by Cloud who was never even 1st class. It's really all about training. XD I thought Cloud had Jenova cells planted in him (more so than other SOLDIER Members) so that he could be a clone? Looks like i need to play 7 again >< lol But in a sense wouldn't be that Cloud and the others beat Sephiroth and not just Cloud? Or we talking about after he burned hes home town? which i couldn't say Cloud beat him there just got him off guard at tossed him lol

Agh, clone is such a confusing word in this case; they're not clones at all. crying Anyway... you could argue all day about if and when Cloud beats Sephiroth, but Kazuma's point, I think, is just that you can't necessarily judge someone's strength by their rank. I feel the need to make a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX reference here. stare

SeeD members are trained from a young age to be hired mercenaries; capable of many jobs ranging from gathering information to actual combat.
In terms of tactics or intellect I would say SeeD, and in terms of raw power, SOLDIER.

Tifa is a simple martial artist, but she starts obliterating Soldier 3rd Class when they go into Shinra HQ. I'd say SeeD is as good as Soldier, if not better.

Ravenwolf Arcosi Knight Tifa is a simple martial artist, but she starts obliterating Soldier 3rd Class when they go into Shinra HQ. I'd say SeeD is as good as Soldier, if not better. "Third class" being the key phrase here. Mind you though, its also close to the beginning of the game.
