20 years after Harry Potter's time at Hogwarts...
the world is a dark place. After Voldemort lost, many thought it would be an infinite time of peace and prosperity for both muggles and wizards. Most of the Death Eathers were captured and sent to Azkaban prison but that's just it, it was only most. One Death Eater by the name of Victor Krisilik rose up to fill the void of evil that had been abandoned for so long. He and a band of other Death Eaters located Harry Potter and after months of strategic planning, managed to kill him in his home. With the hope of muggle and wizard alike gone this new organization of evil was able to quickly and easily gain control of the world, spreading out their followers to the far reaches of the planet with Victor being the all mighty controller. Intent on making sure that none will rise up to kill him he first banned the education of young witches and wizards and revoked all magic to the adult witches and wizards. Things began to run smoothly as he planned, many magical children were left uneducated in the ways of magic until letters started to go to the children in secret, inviting them to learn magic. Since Victor was unaware of how people got to the schools (except for Durmstrang which had to find a new method of transportation), it was easy for the children to get to the school after receiving the letter. Thus began the secret teaching of young witches and wizards, though many still live in fear of Victor. Those caught practicing magic were publically executed to make fear in the people's hearts. As a safety precaution schools like Hogwarts must move location every week in order to ensure themselves not to be found. This is the current state of the world. Will evil prevail? Or will a new hero rise up and vanquish it once and for all? It's all up to you.

1. Follow the Gaia ToS
2. Romance and Violence is encouraged, but keep it PG-13
3. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus
4. You have to have read at least one of the books
5. No one may have any of the elder stuff
6. Guys can play girls and vice versa
7. Keep it literate, meaning decent spelling and grammar and at least 4 sentences per post
8. Creating spells, etc. is accepted, but please make sure I approve
9. Post at least three times per week
10. If you read all of these, title your PM Half-Blood Water Buffalo
11. PM all profiles to me.
12. Three strikes and you're out
13. My word is GOD
14. No god-modding
15. No insanely uncool swearing, keep it reasonable
16. No uber-powerful characters, it's not cool
17. Don't make any plot twists that changes the entire thing without both of my permission first

"Come on, Katie," Lori called behind her as she twirled around excitedly while pushed a cart bearing her her trunk, a golden owl, and a wrapped up broom along, towards and right through a wall. Emerging through the barrier, she headed towards the train. Her dark auburn hair was flowing behind her, catching the sunlight perfectly as she strolled forward, blue eyes glittering. "Bye-bye, mama, papa," Lori kissed her parents on their cheeks before grabbing her things and hopping onto the train. Checking behind her for her sister, Lori started to travel through the corridors, looking for an empty seat. We should really try to get here earlier. All the good seats are taken, she thought, wallking past full compartment after full compartment. Finally, Lori spotted an empty compartment. Rushing over, she slid open the door and stepped in. "Perfect," she said, smiling as she heaved her luggage onto the rack and plopped down onto a seat. Kaitlyn shook her head, exasperated. "It's Kaitlyn, not Katie," she muttered, following her older sister through the barrier. As she inhaled the exaust from the train's engine, she could barely hear to five-minute warning over the racket. Pushing her dark brown, nearly black, locks out of her face, Kaitlyn's dull blood-red eyes flashed, taking in every detail. Gazing over the throng of people, Kaitlyn plunged one hand into her pocket, taking out a Sugar Quill. Sticking it in her mouth, she hugged her parents awkwardly, said a half-hearted good-bye, and grabbed her things. "See ya," Kaitlyn said, jumping onto the train soundlessly. As she followed her sister through the train, Kaitlyn couldn't help but notice the multitude of stares she was attracting, many from old friends. Whatever, she thought, shrugging it all off. Following her older sister, Kaitlyn entered the compartment and, with a flick of her wand, her things went flying up onto the rack on it's own as she sat down.
